Hello!
I'm using the stock ICS 4.0.4 XWLPY rom and I'm really glad with it. But when I install all my apps and games I have to move some of the to the sd card. By default, the system moves them into a ".android_secure" folder in the External SD card, making the boot time very long, and sometimes it doesn't even load the apps/games stored at the external SD card.
So, my question is, is there any way to move the apps to the internal SD (usb storage)?
Thank you!
P.S.: I've a rooted phone.
Hi, I'm trying to do exactly the same. I've already spent all the evening searching for this and couldn't find an answer. The issue is simple, I want to use the internal memory (/storage/sdcard0) for the .android_secure folder, instead of the real external SD card (/storage/extSdCard).
Why? Because I would like to have all the external SD card free for music, videos, pictures, etc. and I don't use the internal memory for my files, so there's a lot of free space not used. Also my SD card is slow (in comparision with the internal memory).
Thank you very much!
Cheers!

4.0.4 ? Really? At least move to 4.0.3 or even gb but not 4.0.4 brickwear.
Can't say for the OP (the post is an year old by now), I'm using stock Android 4.1.2 rooted.
Anyways, I would like to know if there is some mechanism for changing the default .android_secure folder location.
Cheers!

Hey guys,
I am facing a problem with my external storage on my Samsung galaxy II.
The apps on my device can't find the external storage, so I can't download files to my external storage or use my camera. Altough, when I search for it in my explorer I find sd-card0 and sd-card1. Sd-card1 seems to be my external storage and I can simply open it and use my files. Sd-card0 on the other hand is not found.
My guess is that my apps try to use the sd-card0, the one that doesn't exist, for storage instead of storing on sd-card1.
This problem emerged after rooting the device and installing CM 10.2, at this point I am running the Slim_4.4.2 ROM but the storage problem isn't solved.
Does anyone know how I could fix this?
i recommend a clean reinstall ( including a thorough format of system data , cache , INT SD AS WELL AS EXTERNAL SD via cwm )
sdcard 0 is ur internal memory
sdcard1 is ur external storage
apps are stored on sdcard0 not sd card 1(since move to sd feature was remmoved after jb)
as the previous one recommended a clean wipe can solve this
the problem may be arised probably due some root app interfering with your stoage and made some files corrupt when you were rooting
if clean wipe doesnt work try flashing stock with pit file
Note:cm10.2 has problems with storage and wasnt stable for s2
I installed a Cynogen mod ROM (and also miui ROM) on my Karbonn titanium s5 phone, but the problem is that the internal memory (internal SD card) which I used to store data obviously in absence of an external memory card got vanished. When I install the stock ROM it comes back(and my previous data is still there). Kindly tell me how to get back that internal SD card memory with Cyanogen ROM installed (coz I liked the ROM the most)

I recently flashed the deodexed stock rom and noticed my internal storage was only about 22gb. What is the "normal" available storage for the G3? I thought it was around 25-26gb. Is there anything I need to do to fix it?
Edit update:
After wiping internal storage in TWRP, it came down to 6.92gb with 24.16 available. I suggest fully wiping the internal and installing from SD card for new roms for the time being.
