Is touchstone working with DNA? - HTC Droid DNA

As title, i bought 2 touchstones for my DNA, but they are not working for my phone. No sight of being charged.....do i have to change some setting or it simply not working with DNA?
Thanks
Dennis

The palm touchstone charger will not work with the DNA because they are no Qi Standard. You will have to get either a LG or the Nokia ones.

They will not work becaude they are not qi.
What made you think they'd work in the first place?

[Q] Nokia Wireless Charging Stand

So, any idea if the DNA will fit and/or work in the new Nokia charging stand? Here's the LINK if you're interested.
Yes it will since it uses Qi standard. I ordered the flat one through verizon.

Not too concerned about whether it will charge or not, more worried about if the phone will physically fit since it looks like the stand has a hole cut out for the 920 to fit in.

The DNA should fit perfectly on the LG pad:
LG Pad:
6.29" x 3.54" x 0.39"
DNA:
5.52" x 2.78" x .38"

Yeah I have one works great just charges slower than if plugged in. It works with my case on too.
I use the Nokia stand one every night. It holds it just fine and charges great!

Powerskin

I was just checking out dmcgrath009 wireless charging thread which is pretty cool, but it got me thinking about all the cases with wireless charging which then lead to a youtube search. This this of course side tracked me from some dude's review of a powermat of the s3 to an iguana farting in a bathtub (best 10 seconds ever) so I checked out powerskin to see if they had something and I found this http://www.power-skin.com/battery-cases/htc/one-x.php a powerskin for the one x+ and x. So it should fit but the dedicated camera button might interfere and if you can't live without a kickstand you're SOL. I personally like my evo without a case, but if you need more juice here's a maybe solution.
Are the dimensions and charge ports in the exact same place? I was gonna buy the seido one but its not even out yet and this one is 30 less I'd much rather get this if I knew for sure that it'd work

I'm pretty sure it should work, but like I said the dedicated camera button might get in the way. The one x and evo have the same dimensions accord to what I've seen, but they do have a return policy if not. I really don't see a need for it since I go all day on meanrom 6.4, but others might want more juice or aren't rooted and would want more juice so I'm just throwing it out there.
Yea I'm completely stock due to not being tech savy, so my battery life isn't great, I'm a pretty heavy user as well
Anyone try this yet? I would definitely buy this if I knew it would fit!!!
Sweet. I'm interested in this. But waiting for someone with a bigger wallet than me to test it first....

Its not about having it. I dont trust it enough to spend $40. If i made i made double the money i do now i probably wouldnt care about $40. Its just my mentality man
I thought the x and x+ use the contact pins on the back to charge the battery. If that's the case, no way it will work with the LTE.

If you look at the pictures you can see it uses the side micro port. There are no pins inside the case. I might bite the bullet and try this.

The seidio version utilizes the pins but not this one.

i compared my EVO Lte to a One X the other nioght when i stopped by frys.. the charging port seems to be in the correct place but the "volume up-down" rocker on the one x seems to sit about a half inch lower... so im not sure it will work without some modification..
For $80 bucks you think they could make the area where the charging port is flush-er, it looks like a 90 degree plug with a cord. I'll pass and see what I can do with my old touchstone.

This one actually does use the pins in the back I've already seen it. It has two contact pins in the back that connect to the one xs charging plates. The micro USB port is wat charges the battery inside the case.
It will NOT work for the LTE.

DIY Qi Wireless Car Charger Mod

I've made a quick DIY video for making a car wireless charger for qi devices. I have a Lumia 920, but the nokia qi wireless charger should work with other qi devices too.
For the video, just search for "DIY Nokia Wireless Car Charger Mod for Lumia 920" on youtube.
Or you could link/embed it here...

Nexus Charging Orb - Does Magnetism work with DNA?

Hey Guys -
I know the wireless charging will work because of the Qi standard, but will the phone stay put? Any impressions from those who own it would be appreciated.
I could be wrong but I don't think its magnetic.. the back of the nexus is glass I think the orb is just a rubberized surface that "grab's" the back of the phone.. i.e. just friction holds it on... I think!
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2
Nobody has the orb yet, I think. It just now became available, with shipping withing a week. Plus the shipping time. I ordered one the first day it was available, but don't expect it before the end of next week.
Ok, they are shipping them today. Won't be long before we find out.

I'm with you on this one, because I read it would be compatible with windows 8 and htc phones. And pictures look like the two circles on top are rubber. Just what it looks like to me
I have the touchstone charger and it has magnet in it.
from what I see it is held up 80% by friction, 20% by magnetic force.
Too bad the touchstone wont work on Droid DNA otherwise I think it would be a great charging dock.
Mine will be arriving tmrw (Friday)

Magnet lightly holds. The surface of the orb is quite sticky and holds it just fine by itself - the magnet is obviously less apparent with a case on.
No case:

Definitely not strong enough to use as a car mount though.

Good to know.
Unfortunately, Play Store won't let me order one. My address is incorrectly input but I can't change it. Keep getting error messages.
Ty for the pics of this looks awesome will be ordering 1

Works like a charm! Together they're a thing of beauty.
So there is a magnet in it? I thought it would only be the anti-slip rubber that they try and sell for car dashboards. One question, does it work with the phone horizontal? That's something my Nokia DT-910 can't do.

Yes there is a magnet, yes it works with the phone in landscape.
However, it doesn't activate DreamScene or whatever it does with the N4 (also doesn't flip home screens to landscape like it does in car mode).

The dream mode is a 4.2 feature so I don't think anyone expected it to be on the DNA. And on stock there isn't landscape homedscreens. You'll either need a Rom or a 3rd party launcher for that.

Qi car dock

So I'm renewing my search for a Qi car dock for my DNA since iBolt is clearly not following through with their promise to make one. I saw the solution below for the Nexus 5. My question is does the DNA have a magnetic back similar to the n5 that would stick to a magnetic charger such as the new Nexus charger.

A coworker of mine has one of these for his n5, the DNA does seems to take hold to some extent, but nothing substantial from my experience.
I've been keeping an eye out for something in this realm myself for quite some time now.
Hey, thanks for the reply! I'm gong to try a little something along the lines of what I linked to. I've purchased the Mountek nGroove Snap 2. I'm going to get a slim case for my phone and put one of the supplied magnetic plates on the case (not sticking anything permanent to my beautiful DNA!) and I'll check to see if Qi charging still works through all that.

Patience? I have a quote from a thread over on another popular Android site from way back in December of '12 that iBolt would be releasing a wireless dock in a "few months"! To me, a few doesn't equal 15
