Just got one engineering device from a friend. This is a customised handsets for China Mobile. Which network is 2G：GSM 850/900/1800/1900 3G：TD-SCDMA 1880/2010MHz.
The Q is can I flash the new firmware just released? Does the engineering device has the risk to become a brick?

So i have a general question, if i bought a phone which is locked TO SAY AT&T and i flashed CM on it and if possible(if available) flash a new radio, would i be able to use the phone in Europe, Africa or Asia (Anywhere around the world apart from America) Meaning would the phone be unlocked and useable on any other network?

No. Flashing CM has nothing to do (or even helps with) unlocking a device. Android devices (in general) are not like WM devices where you can just flash a new radio. You will have to SIM unlock the device to use it in those other areas.

Is there any way to unsimlock a Lumia 800, knowing that the material version number is: 112.1402.2.4.
I've heard it was impossible some time ago... The only way was to use a ATF box to flash qualcomm bootloader, right?!
I would like to flash it to a custom ROM as well to get it fully unlock, but my first point is to unsimlock.
Do you think it is possible?

I am from Portugal and because I am an early adopter I bought my unbranded nokia Lumia 920 in Clove UK. But now, all portuguese Lumias have 4G enabled in my network (TMN) and I have not. The highest option in definitions is 3G.
Can you please help me on what ROM I should flash unbranded with 4G enabled? I don't understand very much of the ROM names. I have RM-821_eu_euro1_276, with Operator Name 000-GB and configuration ID 118847 (what is this?). I have Portico 1232.5951.1249.1004.
If I flash a ROM will it stop future updates?

Saw a very good deal on ebay india, the seller is selling an unlocked version Note - 3 T-mobile (US), so it can work on Indian GSM carriers.
Now, if you see the description: it mentions:
"The OS Software is Unlocked to Work with all GSM SIMS.
You are not supposed to Update the OS Software as Unlock code is applied to it"
2 quick questions:
1) Can you help me understand what does the seller mean here? The device will obviously be running on JB, so i wont be able to update it to the officially released Kitkat? Will manually flashing a firmware from say Sammobile, revert the unlock code and make the device useless?
2) Buying a US phone for Indian use.. Will i miss out on any features? or will it be a problem in any way??

Can i flash FW SM-G965U1 (USA Unlocked Factory with Snapdragon also) with Odin?

No because the model number does not match, odin will not allow it to flash.
Prince comesy odin may allow it to flash but your un uncharted waters there so no idea what will happen
By any chance do we have any Odin method to root the Canadian Snapdragon versions, bypass the SM-G965W bootloader?

you can make a rom out of the usa carrier firmware and flash it via twrp to your G9650 no problem. Don't let these noobs tell you otherwise.

I don't even know if it's better the G9650 version or the G965U1 version ...... in both cases, I have to use it in Italy with Italian SIM

Hi guys, I made a quick comparison between 3 models (mine is the SM-G965W - Rogers) as recommended by some xda members. Some were saying it may be breaking the phone entirely, and some were saying it is working. Based on those specs all three models are pretty much the same including the Supported Cellular Bands. What is your opinion based on your expertise on this take?
