Hi guys, long time lurker turning poster...
I installed this ROM after wiping data:
[ROM][XXLSJ 4.1.2][09/12] Chameleon v3.0 BETA - Samsung/AOSP hybrid
works fine, connect with google account etc, but when I go on the play store, it tells me I cannot install Facebook because it's not compatible.
Any clue?

Set it to 240 (which is the default for this device) reboot, and try again.

I don't understand why they make ROM with non standard DPI that f*cked up 80% of applications...
I installed the Multi DPI play store, it works staying at 220

First suggestion is to wipe data for the app. If that doesn't work try downloading the app from the internet. Maybe even an older version and see if that works.

May be you need to flash another rom? Also you can try to delete you play store and market update, then copy vendik.apk(market) in system/app. Works for me.

I've the issue where I logged into my play store account and purchased apps showed as un purchased and no updates available. Each time I either had to reset my DPI to stock 240 or sync my account again. Clearing app data worked too.

The DPI is a command in the build prop file. It can change the size of all the text and images on the screen. Samsung stock is 240 while the nexus has a smaller DPI 213 I think.
Anyway this setting can affect the play store if the phone DPI doesn't match the play store DPI.

Go here http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1067233
It says to clear app & system cache to stop this issue. Follow the instructions closely.
BTW I just googled "play store no download", this way the first result.

Hey there guys, my google now is not functioning at all. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the updates, changing roms, using a vpn server etc. Nothing I've tried has worked so far and I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions
Did it ever work with this phone? Which ROMs have you tried? Is it installed from Gapps or the Play store?

Are u using a language that is supported by Google Now? As far as i know, they are deutsch, english, espanol, français, italiano, nederlands, portugues, russian and some far east stuff. You can change its language to these ones from settings.
Still isn't working
Hey guys thanks for the responses. I've reflashed gapps and changed roms a couple times and it still doesn't ask me if I want to use google now or show any cards. I'm starting to believe it may be an issue with my location as I'm located in the Caribbean and some Google services don't work here .

'google now is not functioning' doesnt makes sense to me..it would be better if you explain your problem in detail like
what error are you facing!
any force close or some thing!
are you able to open google now atleast for a sec!
which version! (leaked kitkat one or normal one) etc
you see that would make others figure out where problem is and provide Screenshot if possible.
Ok guys first off thanks for being patient. I'm still a bit of a newbie. My problem is that I cannot use Google now at all. I didn't get the option to select if "I'm in" when I first started google search. My search doesn't display any cards or such info and I don't have the option to turn google now off either. I have my language set to English(US). I'm currently using the unofficial CM11 KitKat ROM. It stop working while I was using CrDroid build 22 which is a 4.3 jellybean ROM.

Google search and launcher you are using, are linked with each other. You cannot turn off GSearch and use that launcher together.
Generally cards doesnt show up when you are not signed in with a google account.
Are you logged in through a google account? If yes, can you share a screenshot of what happens when you press mic button and when you type something to search!
Ok so here's what happens when I touch the mic and type what I'm searching for respectively. I also added a screenshot of my location settings.

So the thing is that google now doesn't know where you are, am i right? Which aspect of google now do you want to work? For example; When you set a meeting from google calendar and tell google now: "What is my next meeting?" does it work or not? Can you try that and get back please.
I would really like if the cards would show some info. That isn't happening. I've added screenshots of my general use google search including a scheduled event.

Google Play Store doesn't load app icons properly. It shows some icons but keeps others blank, and no matter how I wait, it never shows them.
The Google Play app I'm currently using is 5.1.11 (material design). It was installed automatically.
I did not have this problem with the previous Google Play version.
Device details:
Samsung Galaxy S III (gt-i9300)
ROM: Carbon KK - nightly-20141102-0956
Kernel: Boeflla kernel
I have included some screenshots to make my problem more clear.
How can I fix this?

I have flashed Kitkat gapps, file name: pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.4-20140901-signed.zip
At first, the Google Play Store icon was the old one and I had no problems with it, but then it automatically updated itself into this version. At that point I started to have this problem.
