Hi.
I've recently bought a Neo g4 android tv pc.
The problem is that it doesn't have an Ethernet port, and my Wi-Fi is pretty slow.
So I bought an extra USB to Ethernet adapter, which has Linux support.
Now I want to port it to android.
I have a rooted device with busybox installed.
Can anyone explain me how to do this?
But beware, I am an absolute beginner, and I have no Linux or command prompt experience.
The source code of the Linux driver of the device I am trying to port is attached.
Thank you,
Sean
got any news on that?
Nope... so I contacted the manufacturer and he said there will be new firmware out next week, in which this adapter will work.
I found this link, I'll try to follow these steps and let you know if I have any success on that.

I realize this question was asked back in May, and once later on (at least that's what my search found). I have a iMac running Tiger. I rooted my phone last night, but would really love to get DJ_Steve's version. I have a brand new streak running 1.6. and I'm locked into AT&T.
Has anyone found a way to do this with a Mac? My computer, although running great, is too old to get bootcamp, and I don't know anyone with a windows computer that I can use. Their either virus infested, or locked up because they are computers from their work.
Thanks for any help.
there is are so many guides here that will help u . Please search

Just had the same problem. Did not find the information anywhere, but I discovered there is a usb receiver in the bottom of the mouse. Remove it and plug it into a usb port on the box and voila.

Never did I find the solution to this
Hello to you all!
I have got a new Meegopad T07 and I thought it would somehow be possible, to install android on ist.
I already heard of people experimenting with Remix OS, but it has problem with sound and wifi.
My idea was to get a android Image from a device, that has the same processor. The Meegopad has a Intel X5 Z8300. I looked and found a Tablet PC: Teclast X16 Pro. For this device I also found a costom firmware on this side: Ask me for the link because I can't post it. Else try to search in google for "teclast x16 custom firmware" and take the first link.
But before I do something I wanted to talk with you a little bit about my idea.
First of all: Has someone a idea about the other hardware from the meegopad or the techlast tablet? Does the same processor mean, that it also has the same wifi-, bluetooth-, usb-, sound- etc. controller? How do you think?
If I would install the image: Do i have to install some android drivers? In the link above you see there some drivers that are to install. Do I have to install them? And if yes: do I install them like in this tutorial? Sorry for these questions but I installed till today only cfw on phones and there I never had to install any drivers only the image.
And my last question: How good do you think are my chances to make android runable on my device?
Thanks and have a nice day

Hi, did you get it to work on your device?
Hi,
I did some research but was unable to solve my problem. First, please excuse me for using bad english, and above all, to be a noob...
So, here is the thing : I own the HTC Desire 650, which were given to me so I couldn't choose the model... I am not satisfied by usual phone OS, but as i'm not really confident with programming, I usually keep android, as it is... But this time, it was too much.
I like hi-res music, so I have a DAC, wich i usually connect to my laptop, to redirect the signal to hi-fi. But i wanted to use otg cable to connect the dac on my smartphone. As android 6 marshmallow was supposed to be OTG-Compatible, I buy some otg adapter. But unfortunately, it didn't work. After some research, I found that I had to unlock the bootloader and root the phone in order to modify the vold.fstab (That seems easy with a root browser). But it was a mistake, as with android >5, this file is in the boot.img.
So now, I already unlock the bootloader, install the twrp recovery and root the phone. But I am unable to find the boot.img in order to unpack/modify vold.fstab to add otg lines/repack the boot.img.
I tried to find the boot.img with cat: /proc/mtd command but can't go further... ("no such file or directory"... I am on win 10, adb+fastboot installed)
Would some nice developper or more experienced one, give me a hand on this matter ? I just discovered the android world and I'm curious on this things.
Anyway, as it seems that no custom rom is available for htc desire 650, I wanted to swap phones with my grilfriend, but she said : NO !
thanks very much if you can help me !!
See you
