Is it possible to change your DPI by using /data/local.prop? I was always able to do this up until 4.2. Since 4.2 the lcd density settings in local.prop are ignored. I really dislike having to make any changes to build.prop.
Thanks.

1. I'been writing earlier but there wasn't good answer and now there's now thread. So i have no mouse cursor in exmiui 2.8.10. I have lupus kernel v2 with installed modules. I checked framework and there is icon and other files for this. I don't wan't to change this miui version to newer version. I checked most roms and it's workin in cm10, cm9, hasa miui.
2. I changed dpi to 140 . Now I need google play market with changed dpi to 160 inside. I checked a lot of modded markets but nothing works for me. Don't write to me to change back dpi to 160 'cause love miui lookong with 140 dpi and launcher 4x5. Just give me checked and working app.
After various (failed attempts) to build cyanogenmod for my device (RK3066 gem10313bk-rev2), I decided to try out a rom for a similar device.
After trying a few, I got this ROM to work almost completely: http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/394...do-n90fhdcube-u9gtvvisture-4hd-retina-tablet/
(using latest ver 8a)
The main problem is that the rom reports the wrong screen size and resolution.
The tablet is in fact a 9.7 inch (diag) with a resolution of 1024x768
Rom reports 5.1 inch (diag) with a resolution of 768x952
I've searched for fixes, but only found build.prop tweaks relating to pixel density (which I believe wouldn't really fix the issue).
Is anyone aware of the method I would have to use to edit the rom's reported resolution and screen size?
Hey there everybody, I've got a few questions:
1. I am aware of the framework-res.apk method of changing the default wallpaper, but is it also safe to replace default_wallpaper.png in the frameworks/base/core/res/res folder? I would rather not have to do the framework-res.apk method on each build. And my wallpapers are in a 1080x1920 resolution since the device has a XXHDPI resolution. The default is 1920x1920. Mine should be fine, right? It just wouldn't be scrollable, I assume.
2. How do I add additional wallpapers to a ROM when building?
Thanks!
Hello guys,
I have samsung galaxy s2 (gt-i9100) And I want to change DPI (for apps and phone look), but I can't... I tried using xposed installer, but as I know now, xposed installer not working on lollipop. I also tried using different playstore programs and changing build.prop file. But nothing worked. Any other suggestions how to change my DPI? Or I don't know if there is a bug how to fix that bug?
Use textdroider dpi from the google play store, set your dpi then reboot.
hello to everybody.
recently i upgrade my stock Huawei g700 android 4.2.1 ROM to custom GidKat_Ultimate_Art_Edition_Dolby_Multi_V2 android 4.4.2 ROM. that's realy very nice ROM but i have one annoying problem. the vertical space of lines in texts in some application like messaging and telegram application is very low and the words are collision together. i have no problem with English characters, this occur in my nation language (Persian). i don't have this problem in my old ROM while the default font using for both of my old and my current ROM was "DroidNaskhUI-Regular" font. i checked this font from my old and my current ROM whit windows based font creator application and i was not found any difference. also i install another fonts but yet the problem is resident. just when i was decreased the scale of font with font creator application, the problem was gone but now i have another problem, the size of font is very small and this is more annoying problem compared to the previous one. BTW i try a lot of modifying of font properties and metric option with font creator application but after installing of modified font i cant see any deference. i think this is ROM related parameter and i will very happy if i fixed it with your helps.
sorry for bigger text. i want to share all of my information because for helping that become easy and also sorry for possibility of misunderstanding because of my English.
