Flashing BB (.49) Done
Installing Xrecovery (manually) Done
Clearing userdata, formatting, clearing cache (etc) Done
And choose from the zip (TripNMiUI Iris Gingerbread TripNRaver- v0.3.0.zip.
When I try to flash the zip in xRecovery I get an error: please switch to Edify scripting (updater-script and update binary) to create working zip packages.

Get this from my dropbox and install that one, it's the earlier one
we tried that, but after it installs the zip it just boots into stock 2.1 again! we have no idea on how to fix it...
does it still give the error? try another ROM, or DL the same one again?
no it doesn't give an error it claims that it installed successfully. We havent tried another ROM yet or DLd the same one yet either.
did you install busybox from market and then run the installer? making sure it says done and tells you that it is installed
you also have to run the xrecovery installer from your app drawer too
yes, I installed busybox and ran it on xbin and bin, and i clicked install on xrecovery too. (everything was ticked off)
all things point to it working.... Hmmmmmm
Well, I'm stumped. Anyone else out there?
its still broken, is there like a x10 rom that just improves 2.1?
I have a problem with my phone. I want to use the Galaxy SII repair tool. It says I need busybox 1.7.1 installed to use the app.
I have a newer version of busybox and I can't install the older version on the phone. How do I go about removing this new version?
unroot your phone, that will remove busybox, then manually install older version.
fix your problem then reroot your phone with the newer version.
I can't find a rom and a rooted kernel I can use that has busybox 1.7.1 or earlier installed. Can anyone help me?
anyone?
Now I'm using rage kernel 3.0 (GB). The the problem is everytime I install newer version Bysybox and reboot my phone it will revert to version 1.19.3-cm71 with. So, My Backup, Lucky Patcher, etc. doesn't work properly. Since I can't find many GB kernel, can I remove/disable kernel's autoroot?
Thanks.
PS. My phone is Xperia Active (ST17i SATSUMA)
Try rerooting device but with both newer versions of su and busybox
I flashed some custom roms some time ago, but now i want to go back to stock ROM, so i flashed stock rom via flashtool , SUS many times, but i cant get rid of this kernel and busybox . pls help me with it
i used busybox pro to uninstall this busybox but it fails to do so.
i have also flashed stock kernel many times, but still i find cm9 bionic busybox installed here.
Flashtool flash log?
Sent my Carbonised Xperia P
Busybox is installed in system partition (/system/xbin/), it's not part of the kernel.
My TWRP suddenly went to "that state". And now System is ReadOnly. What I did - I used Super SU-app to take root temporarily "away" because I needed to use bank app. Then I enabled root again. Worked just great. But I think after that recovery is "dirty" I cannot find any other reason. Before root off / root on it TWRP was OK. Any idea how to fix? I have tried to flash same and previous version from Bootloader, cannot do - fastboot flash it OK but when I boot to recovery, nothing has changed. My root is working OK while on OS (I am still rooted).
I also tried to fix it flashing Asgard kernel. Kernel flash was OK and now I am on Asgard but TWRP is still the same even after flashing it again after Kernel.
I am on stock (Android 7.0) which I have debloated (everything worked just great before that switch root on / off)
File System is ext4.
Any ideas or do I just have to go back to original stock and then TWRP and root again? (Just do not want to do that too much work)
Thank You
