I'm trying to hard reset a GT-P7500 on Android 3.2 by turning it off and then pressing Volume Up + Power. But nothing happens... screen remains black.
What am I doing wrong?
Any alternative way to hard reset?
The tablet powers on normally when just pressing Power button.

I'm not sure if you mean to hard reset or if you're trying to go into recovery mode to access CWM?
Either way, a hard reset can be performed by holding the power key longer than the usual time to turn it on or off.
To access recovery mode, hold the power and volume down key if up didn't work. The android guy is downloading mode and the box icon is recovery. Let me know if this helps witha thanks:good:
Yes it did. Thanks so much.

Can someone please set out in easy to follow steps how I can safely reset my Streak 5 to a factory fresh state.
Many thanks!
go to Settings - Privacy - Factory data reset and push Reset phone.
Turn it off. When off, push vol up and vol down, and turn ir up. When Dell logo appears, release power button but continue pressing vol up and vol down. Then, you'll see a menu, and there is FACTORY RESET.

In reply to my question on factory reset you said 'Turn it off. When off, push vol up and vol down, and turn ir up.'
What do you mean by 'and turn ir up?'
He meant to say "turn it on".
Turn the Streak off.
While holding down the volume up and volume down buttons, press and hold the power button until the Dell logo appears.
Release the power button, but continue holding the volume buttons until Dell's recovery menu appears on the screen.
Using the volume buttons, select option 1, factory reset, then press the camera button.
Follow the instructions on the screen to reset.
Note: this this requires a stock recovery image to work. If the device has Streakmod Recovery or Clockworkmod, replace them with a stock recovery image before attempting to reset.
I can't seem to boot into recovery with the hold volume up and power at the same time, then release power (still hold volume up) trick.
I've tried about everything I could think of.... I have tried rooting the tablet, unrooting the tablet, applying the OTA system update(s) etc.... No matter what the tablet will just boot up normally (or if I hold the power button too long it turns off). Googling/searching hasn't yielded much help.
I don't have a reset hole to reset it or I would try that.
Any suggestions?
Thanks so much....

Your volume button actually works properly?
I've tried holding Power + Vol Down, i've tried letting it go and re-holding it when the LG Logo appears. I have TWRP installed, and i want to be able to boot into recovery incase something goes wrong with my system, but nothing i do seems to help.;
Only thing i can do is hold all 3 buttons, allowing me to disable "Hardware key control mode". How do i get this thing into Recovery?
What happens when you hold the power and volume down buttons? Do you get the stock recovery? If so, choose Factory Reset and that'll take you to TWRP.
Power + Vol Down, Factory Reset.
If unable to get into Bootloader, i found out personally that i just wasnt holding the Volume Down button hard enough.
[Youtube video on how to actually do this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-cTpsDLNF8)
Also, keep in mind for the Verizon G3, when you enter the recovery, you will NOT be asked to reset your data, but there will be five options and one of them is factory reset. That's where you want to go. Nothing is actually reset.
HELP! Blue Wave 8 33GT tablet stuck in recovery mode with "No command" message
I got my Blue Wave 8 33GT (not HD+) tablet completely bricked. First of all, I know this is not really a popular device and some of you might not have a single knowledge about this one, but I hope in any way you might help me get this device working again. Thank you in advance!
Some info about this device:
Bluewave's website: Wave 8
Android OS version: 4.4 KitKat
Device processor: Rockchip-based (RK31)
What just happened? It suddenly reboots while I'm playing and gone into recovery mode with an Android and a "No command." message. Now it won't boot the system anymore whenever I reboot, it always going into this recovery mode.
It has no volume buttons, just a reset, a hard back button and power button. Holding down the power and back button goes into the recovery mode directly. Through normal boot, it flashes the Bluewave logo twice then goes into the recovery. While the reset button immediately turn the device off. There's nothing else I can think of that I can do in this case.
My laptop can recognize it as an ADB Device in recovery mode and I think I may be able to flash it via Rockchip BatchTool, but the instructions I've read states that the device should be up and with a USB debugging enabled which I am not currently able to do in recovery mode. Device is rooted and working totally fine until this happened.
Anyone got into this kind of problem and able to go through it? Please, any help is greatly appreciated.
P.S
Just let me know if there are any additional info I could give you.

Hey! Thanks for your reply and time.
I tried every combination of either of the two keys but there is no such recovery menu showing up, and I am pretty sure that this device doesn't have a built-in recovery for factory reset.
If only I could go to its download mode stuff to be able to flash the firmware...

"Long press the power button to restart the device. If restarting fails, hard reset the tablet by poking the Reset hole using a pin. " it is from FAQ
maybe this could help.
1. Press the power button to get the option menu for
Power off
Reboot
Silence phone option.
2. on that menu you have to hold down that power off option on your touch screen while also holding down the home push button on the side of your tablet.
3. This brings up a screen to reboot into safe mode..(these are the 3 steps the company does not tell you that is why no one gets it to work.
4. HIt yes for safe mode and then hold down your power and home buttons on side of tablet till the dopo Logo appears.
5. Release both buttons and hit the power button one time and then hold only the home button down till a menu option appears.
6. Use the home button to move down to factory reset and press the power button to select. Once it says complete then use the power button to select reboot.
Problem solved. Hope this will help everyone out.
The only way is to remove the battery, attached again the battery then power it on their is no hard reset on blue wave the go to settings factory reset
Old LG G5 I had previously installed Lineage on. Was in a drawer until I decided to charge it up and let one of my kids play games on it. When I input the correct screen lock pattern, it goes black, then comes back to lock screen.
I am able to hold power button to then select power off, restart, etc. From power off, I power on and get the orange triangle recommending to lock the bootloader. But no combination of power and vol-down or power and vol-up will get me to TWRP. It just rolls right back in to Lineage.
Also, from power off, if I plug in to my Linux laptop, it will power on and go to fastboot.
Feels like USB debug got turned off and/or trust somehow got revoked, but I never had this laptop connected to it so probably doesn't matter. But like I said, my unlock pattern is working. I get different response with correct pattern versus incorrect.
I'm also able to see the phone from my https://google.com/android/devicemanager page. I tried to send a secure and erase thinking it might let me start from scratch, but I only see a notification that "Device Located" and it never does anything.
And finally, lsusb -v does see the phone, but adb devices never does.
My question is any idea how to get back to TWRP to wipe and push an updated image or even put an updated TWRP?
Try this ...
It's like getting into Stock Recovery. To get into TWRP Recovery using button combination (hard reset) you'll need to hold volume down button and power button simultaneously, releasing power button (temporarily) once LG logo appears then quickly pressing and holding power button again, all the while maintaining hold on volume down button. The stock recovery message (white background) will appear requiring you to select volume up/down button to continue to reset software (see attached image). If you select yes it will appear to factory reset but will actually boot into TWRP.
Hope that helps!
