[Q] Xperia T Boatloader - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Greetings fellow XDA-ers!
I have an xperia T with a boatloader unlock status set to no. I would like to find out where this value is set and change it so that I can unlock my bootloader, or find a by pass ore a way around the status. In order to do this I need some advice, so if anybody has any ideas then please submit them here! I would not like any "it can't be done" posts since, although I am aware it is nigh impossible, I am determined to do this. So if any devs care to share their knowledge I'd be much obliged! Thanks a lot!

[Q] Can I use S1 tool with a bootloader unlock not allowed?

I've checked out *#*#7378423#*#* and my bootloader status says unlocking not allowed.
I've successfully rooted my Neo V and that's great.
So is it now safe to use S1 tool as in vimjam's noob guide or am I stuck?
It will unlock, but you won't have fastboot. You will have to pay for.serial or xunlock

Thanks. I've found X Unlock (at FastGSM) but not .serial. Any help on that one appreciated.
You can also find someone who have setool box, and pay for unlocking.

Good for you that your brother knows about setool box.
Apparently OP doesn't know, and that's why he ask here and that's why I answered here. Same as you don't know everything and will eventually ask something here, and someone who knows that from his diaper time will answer you.
So unless I gave wrong information or made a mistake in my answer, there is no need for that kind of posts.

hehe, that devil/tricky autocorrect
OK, thanks for your replies but, for a noobie, please let me know if the fastgsm xunlock service will allow me to use fastboot.... having rooted and unlocked my xoom I am finding this one really tough going. Because of the bootloader locked scenario, it's proving to be difficult.
Setool has been used by many here, unlock is newer, and automated. Personally I would go with setool as there is someone else involved, if something goes wrong they can help.

So, to be clear setool is a service offered by people using hardware whereas s1tool (as in vimjam's post is the diy job? Is that right?
No, s1tool, is a free limited to bootloader unlock version that doesn't need a card. Setool needs a card but can also remove network locks and more. just search there are people that will do it remotely too

You've been very helpful, thanks given. I've found jinx 1 on the internet with complete explanation videos and remote unlocking, looks good so hopefully I'll soon be there.
Good luck with it. You'll soon have full control of your phone

I'd also love to know this too, what are the tech reasons why we can't? X10 got unlocked even with SE not allowing it...

Please if some is more experiment than us please help us for a simply answers
I think we have to wait for any brilliant mind to come out with an exploit...I don't think we will see any solution at least until ICS is out in the end of June...
Anyway...I really would like to be wrong so if someone knows how pliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis tell us!
hi
I found something interesting on htcmania (unfortunately Spanish) but I'm not able to post outside links. There is Tutorial how to resolve our problem. Maybe I could send this link to someone as private message and this person share this link for everyone?

That method requires sending the phone to SONY for bootloader unlocking for any country or carrier, the only requirement is to haVe the phone Simunlocked. But it works.

I am in the same boat. There is a Sony s1 signature server which you can use remotely using ezSemc. You need to buy credits from a company (www.microunlocker.com is one). You need to ask for a full CSCA certificate unlock. Trouble is, server is offline at the mo, no one knows when it's back on.
If you search s1 signature server status using Google you'll find more info about when the server may be back online.
Just a waiting game at the mo.
Cheers,
Lunar.

You need to wait for the Sony s1 signature server to be back online. Many other posts about this already. Search in Google.

It's the server companies use to unlock Sony phones remotely. We need to do a full csca certificate unlock to change the status to yes. It's a paid service though where you need to buy credits. There's lots of info on Google about the server being down, some rumours it may not come back online. Just have to keep searching until there's some news to the contrary.
Cheers,
Lunar.

Any news?
Is there yet a way around this? Or have I simply wasted all my time and money on this phone? Xperia lt30at Bootloader unlock allowed: no

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948210
i have already unlocked my xperia s(with the official method), so i can't help him
but i think that lots of people would be interested and could test his work

What is the use of creating another thread for just drawing attention
Cause there's lot of pepole with an xperia that would like to unlock their bootloader but they cannot
And not everyone think that the solution to this problem is in the U section of the forums

I warn you all not to do this! It's too dangerous! U'll get a hard brick phone which required a technical support. The worst case scenario, it will be trashed!

DO NOT TRY THIS! More info how to f*ck up your phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1589282

i hope xperianpro know what's doing [even because some people managed to get unlocking possible]
Linked thread under investigation
Updated
After a review of the linked thread it has been decided that it should be removed as it appears to have done more harm then good.

Sony experia u

Has anyone got info on how to unlock the xperia u??
I am new to the whole unlock/root thing but very interested in it!! I have purchased an xperia u direct from the carrier so im not sure if that limits what I can do with it.
Maybe someone on here could give advice/direction on unlocking and if branded phones have limits?? (I realise it may have been dumb to buy a branded phone).
Thanks on advance..
