i was browsing and suddenly my screen stopped responding to touch input
now i can't even turn off the phone (the back, home and menu buttons work normally)
i'm hoping it's just frozen for some reason
i still have a lot of battery left so what can i do to restart it instead of just wait for it to run flat?
I think its vol up + power until it vibrates. Something like this

i have an extremely annoying problem with the vibrant
when i put it in my pocket, locked, after a few seconds it would restart.
apparently the power butter gets long pressed if you hold it for 6-8 seconds, your phone will restart, even when locked.
anyone has a fix for that ?
i would greatly appreciate it...
Mine wont power off or reboot if the screen is locked...

Why would you put it in a pocket with anything else in it, you looking to scratch the phone?
I doubt a key or something would be able to "randomly" press the power button in for that long, you sure it's not the phone?
i've retested this again and again.
holding the powet button while phone is locked and screen is off for about 8 seconds does a reboot.
I don't get the shutdown animation, only the startup.
if you can't reproduce it, what mod/kernel are you using?
I'm on stock kernel ji6

Hey guys, i noticed when pressing the power button to turn the LCD on, it turns on a second or two after being pressed. Is there any way to make it turn on instantly when you press the power button? Its kind of annoying to me since im used to all my other phones turning on right away when being pressed.
It's probably due to the fact that your phone is exiting deep sleep.

@op's post i have noticed it too, with s-voice disabled on double pressing the home key ; @demonor, that is true but lighting up the screen using the home is faster than the power key even if it isn't already in deep sleep.
just try doing it over and over again, lighting the screen up is instantaneous as compared to about almost a second after when you use the power button to light the screen up.
same here... it's really annoying... thought i'm the only one..

Try turn off wave effect, it should help.
My phone Micromax a210 isn't turning on at all.
I was uploading some video to What's app. And suddenly i had to press the home button. Then, my phone gets Hanged up!
Then, i though just pressing the lock button and unlocking it will bring back. But to my surprise, the phone locked (Screen off) and doesn't turn on at all.
There is no way to remove battery too. It had some 50% battery in it. I even tried charging it. But doesn't turn on at all. It had it CHARGING LIGHTS ON when i plugged in the power source. But, phone doesn't turn on.
I'm not pretty sure whether it had shut down or that application is killing it.
Please give me some ideas to bring back my phone. It's a new one. Just 3 days old :crying:
Hold your power button and both your volume buttons simultaneously for about 10secs

So I opened an app then the phone got really not slow but it would load like every 10 seconds. I tapped the homescreen and the display just turned off and the buttons are lit but the screen display isn't. When I press the button on the top it wont come on if I hold the top button the capacitive touch buttons flash. I started charging it but then took it off the charger hoping it would die. So now the buttons are lit and it has the orange charging light on but its not charging and the display isn't on and not working and I don't know what to do please help
Hold the power and both volume buttons.... You will see your lights flash again , theyll flash like 12 times or so and then totally shut off. This is a forced shut down. Then just try to press the power button and turn it back on like normal.

Hello everyone I'm experiencing a very strange issue. Whenever I press towards the top center of the screen sometimes my screen goes black as if I hit the power key and then when I press the home button it doesn't turn back on usually I have to press the power button once then one more time to get the screen to get back on. You have to squeeze or press down the screen firmly a little hard I'll be asleep its not normal to do that but regardless doing that makes my phone turn off and then not turn back on until I press the power key twice. The screen appears to be off and all black but the soft keys vibrate as if thescreen was on and use. Does anyone else have this type of problem when pressing down on the screen? Or has anyone else experienced this some other way and has some type of solution or should I exchange?

I don't have that issue I, only have like many users that little lag when waking the screen. The problem your describing sounds very abnormal. I would def. Check out an exchange option if you have it bro.
