I have the same set up. No problem with stock mms

The Base ROM and our tweaks aren't paying well together for some odd reason.

I'm running slick with no custom kernel I can not send or receive MMS. I have tried hancent also. It says its downloading then fails. Did you figure out what could be causing this?
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
I have not tried a custom ROM yet, but my Optimus did not send or receive MMS messages after rooting/unlocking. AT&T couldn't figure out what was wrong, so I ended up returning it for a replacement. This new phone still does work, though occasionally I have to restart before an MMS will go through. It worked flawlessly before I unlocked it, so my (albeit non-expert) thinking is it has something to do with that process...

I'm going to go back to stock and see what happens. If it still has issues I will be giving them a call. Thanks

So I did a clean install and received a mms fine I then unlocked and rooted my phone with the freegee app and now I can't receive mms. What's going on?

I'm having the same issue with the nocturnal rom. Has anyone found a fix for this? I assume that it's probably in the apn settings.

I just got my galaxy s2 yesterday, rooted, and flashed a few different roms. I can get calls and internet but I can't send or receive texts or mms. I called customer support and they were clueless. All my apn settings seem to be ok. I'm not sure what the problem could be.

A little more info would be helpful. What rom are you on now and did SMS/MMS work on any of the ones you installed? If so, when did it stop working?
I just installed Mac os on my laptop. Why doesn't the wifis and touch pad werkz?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using XDA App
I never tried sending any texts pre-root. I only noticed the trouble once i had already rooted and flashed lite'ning, cm7, and unnamed. SMS/MMS didn't work under any of those roms. I'm on unnamed right now. This is the sixth android device I've rooted and I've never had a problem like this. All the apn setting are correct, i assume. I've checked them on a couple of different forums.
Put your sim in another phone and see if it works then.

Try SMS message center from within the messaging app.
I think the numbers are regional, mine is +13123149810, you may need to call att for the correct number in your area.

Take it back 100% to stock and see if you're still having issues. If it is working you'll be better able to figure out where it messed up when you go to flash another rom.

I took it to an AT&T store today. I was able to use SMS/MMS once they gave me a new sim card. Don't know why I didn't think of that before. Oh well, thanks for the responses!

So I got my virgin mobile optimistic v rooted and on ihs cyanogenmod and I'm loving it. One thing I noticed is that if I send a message that seems too long (doesn't always have to be) it keeps failing even with full service and multiple retries. Anyone else have this iissue? I fix it by dissecting my texts and sending them piece by piece then it foes through. if anyone can fix it let me know how my bill is due tthe 27th btw

Try hitting it on Optimus V forum. There's definitely got to be an answer there..
I thought this was the optimistic v p500 and one general forum, this doesn't really go in v developement so I didn't put it there

Hi all. I recently rooted my phone and installed a Liquid Smooth Cyanomod version of Jelly Bean (4.1.3 I believe) and have been unable to properly send MMS texts since. I can send to myself and receive almost instantly but the best arrival time I've received so far is 7 minutes, with another at over 90 and most of them being sent from my phone but not ever arriving at the target phones. I'm with Rogers and have attempted several different APN layouts without success. I've searched everywhere but am unfortunately unable to post my findings thus far. If you have a set up that is proven to work for you or even just speculate at an answer please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

Post in your own forum. This phone and that one are completely different. Good luck and happy flashing.
Has anyone else come acroos Screen shots sent over MMS becoming blurry? Hasnt happened to me until JB. And I've found others having the problem on the sprint website.
Any solutions?
Try a custom rom? I believe that roms like super jelly have fixed that problem.

It could be they get compressed. Are you on a custom rom?
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
Yeah I know that its the compression and yes I'm on omj elite ROM. But I also flashed back to stock and had the same problems. Did a full wipe the ref lashed omjs ROM. Its too much compression.
Strange thing is when I put a picture take. From the camera into an MMS message then add a screenshot it isn't compressed as much.
Now I'm talking all words in any screen shot are completely illedgable.

Blurry MMS is a problem in stock jb sense
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
As previous poster mentioned....some roms have the compression fixed...when looking through Rom features in threads look for "0 mms compression" or something similarly worded in the list, or just ask the developer....I'm currently using a 100% running Rom from another source that is stock looking with sense with tweaks ect that has it fixed and they sent full size... (don't wanna mention site/source here in case its not allowed unless otherwise told it's ok)....but yes it is a known issue/feature in jb and some devs have corrected it in their roms...hope that points you in the right direction...

No I know what he's saying. If I attach a picture from my gallery, it works fine. But if its a screenshot, its compressed to hell. I wanted to ask about it too but I wasnt sure if there was already a thread for it. I'm not rooted, for the record.

Hey guys,
I came across this thread in reference to Framaroot, a one click root method via apk that had the Nexus 4 listed as compatible. I downloaded it onto a Sprint LG OG at Best Buy and it did indeed work. I ended up freegeeing and installing a custom ROM and recovery on it. Let's see if anyone working at Best Buy notices If anyone wants to test it on the E970, here is the thread link to the page.

Wait, you blew over the stock rom on a display phone at Best Buy? Man if I were an employee i'd be pretty pissed off for having to deal with that!
