Yea guys im having no luck lol.
Sorry
..............
go and ask at http://en.miui.com
thats not what I was asking.
WAS WONDERING IF YOU ONEX+
Users want MIUIandroid to your device.
I am willing to port
But need testers.
I'd love to test it out. I've got an AT&T model, if that matters to you.
oh sorry i misunderstand it :fingers-crossed:
will you port i from HOX?
i can test it and help you...
So what ROM are you going to use as the HOX+ base?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk 2
Hi loir.....
I was actually going to ask you if i could use ur cm10 base....i was going to build from cm10 repos and port from that but that makes no sense at all even if u did push to their repos.
And no. I would port from the gnexus. They are both xhdpi devices. But if worst comes to worst may need to port from the one x international since it is tegra 3 correct?
Edit:
I see u have pure aosp.
That is a lot easier....less issues with htcs headphone routing and easier methods.
I will have a port here tonight.
....
How is the cm ?
Like stability and working wise
Oh how I wish the was MIUI on HOX+. Just bought mine today, switching from Desire after 3 years - I have been using MIUI for the last 2 years or so. I already miss it, willing to test if necessary!
Wah.
I love MIUI. I'm a newcomer to HTC One X+ and comming from HTC HD2 just a week ago. I already miss my MIUI, can't live without it. Refreshing daily the en.miui.com website to check if they added my new device =)
I would like to help, but my device is still not unlocked or rooted. Need to make a test run for some time before I do. Don't know what happens with my warranty if I unlock via htcdev.
warranty depends on your country/region
eu/germany warranty is not affected
Hmm, thanks for the info. Any info about LV (Latvian/Eu) warranty? Or some place I can read about?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda premium
i dont no.
but has latvian the EU membership, so i think it will not be affected.
not sure...
Ok.
Will try and have something tonight.
Most definitely need testers for logs if no boot.
Hope the tegra doesnt give me an issue.
Going to be for international until att becomes more stable

If he is actually wanting to work on the amaze I'd be glad to donate, mdeejay does great stuff used his stuff on the sensation. This is a dev I would love to get the device to if he is actually wanting to work on the amaze and own a device. Kinda sucks right now to get a device for someone at this moment with newer devices coming out it seems like most devs want to move on to those newer devices. It'd be awesome to have a dev who would actually want to own and use an amaze. Back when I was on the galaxy s2 forum they got Eugene373 a phone and because he was gonna use it as his phone he ended up bringing them so much great roms. To throw a device into a devs hands who is just willing to work on a couple roms for us, is kind of a shakey idea on one side its great and appreciated that they wanna help the amaze community out on the other hand they got lives and their preferred devices so you never know how long they will be willing to help out for.

I would argue the quoted part above - our device still isn't even remotely obsolete. I was at a tmobile yesterday with a guy who works there who owned an amaze previously, but they gave him a htc one.. he isn't impressed. It is slimmer, and it includes beats - but otherwise it is the same phone without being able to access battery or have a microSD.
Sure, the international version is quad-core, but the newest phones in the US haven't made any attempt at pushing hardware specs-- we are still good competition.
There are a ton of devs that are still developing for devices that are definitely inferior to ours spec wise, that alone is a very big factor.. if they use our phone, they will fall in love(or they have bad taste!)

Well I partially agree with you, its not so much that the amaze is a bad device, its not behind the curve nor is it stale, however, the newer devices are easier to dev for from looking at the one s and one x even with no kernel source they are farther along. I love the amaze and I don't see anything compelling enough to upgrade to anytime soon. With that being said the amaze is no walk in the park to dev for, with missing drivers its already a not so easy phone to deal with, I truly hope if mdeejay or any developer that gets our device for that matter likes it the way owners of it do so that they can see a reason to get it beyond just helping us.

If we get an official response from mdeejay we can get the ball rolling on this.
HTC does a really bad job with sources, some of us already know that.
Some things you might want to know
1- the One X+ Can not flash a custom rom with its boot loader locked, unless of course there an S OFF method, but that's a low possibility. In other words HTC in some cases takes its time to release a boot loader unlock method. Usually they do a good job with this. What they suck at is giving Kernel sources. We won't see a custom kernel until December if the device was released in October
2- Its hard to do ports based of sense, so development could go for the worst with very little to no source and playing around with sense is not really a walk in the park
The one x+ looks like a good device. Hopefully T Mobile picks it up over here in the US soon.
Just giving a heads up.
As previous One X great Devs found a way to move on development, sure X+ will have a lot of dev!
It's not a big improvement against the One X (international) though, but after the new Nexus will be a LG, I will maybe even buy this device as my next phone and will do some stuff for it..

There's a whole series of them apparently. The HTC one looks the best. 1080p quad core s4 5 inch screen (12.7cm) and 2gb ram. Very similar specs to the lg one, but it'll have sense themes in the customization center and perhaps other interesting features.

LG is not that good name over on xda, as the support and software was crap. But most off times the hardware in Lg phones is damn nice and new tech so with google behind and no locked crap it might be a intressting phone.

So you're saying for someone like me who buys phones to slap CyanogenMod on, I should expect poor results with the One X+? I will avoid then.
However, does sharing Tegra 3 with the Nexus 7 benefit the One series any? Did the One X get helped by the Nexus 7? I see this kinda like the SGS1 phones getting benefit from the Nexus S sharing SoC. The SGS2 is totally screwed as you know as it still lacks hwcomposer and stuff for CM10.
Yes I could get a Nexus, but sometimes I happen to like the design of non nexus phones more. The One X/X+ are truly sexy phones to me, and as long as they're decent to develop for I'd jump in.

This could be possible but we are never sure, either way getting something like CM booting is only half the work, the real test is getting wifi, Bluetooth, GPS etc working without HTC releasing anything. The only way to get them working is work arounds. If you are a flashaholic that likes roms that are not based off stock then stay away.
If you like Sense then by all means get it
Yes totally screwed. Sammy can kiss my ***

As someone who has an HTC flyer I must say, It saddens my to hear that HTC hardware isn't an option.
HTC has some aesthetically pleasing hardware and sense itself can be pretty nice. The tablet just feels great in your hands, and has a nice screen..
It absolutely sucks that HTC lets themselves get held back by poor sources.. I'm "ok" with my tablet not having the most up to date version constantly.. I didn't sign a contract for it.. but, I really don't want a phone that I'm locked into having for 2 years to be left out for no real good reason.
Still, I'd kill to see a smooth running JB rom that is factory quality on my flyer.
Thanks for the warning.
I have a Sensation and if it wasn't for CM this thing would have been in the garbage. I'm hoping to pick up one of these and I'm sure development work for it will eventually come around. It needs some time.

I thought the Verizon model had different partitions etc. The reason why the unlock process was different.
Do we know what devs might be working on a CM10 port? If somebody is working on it, it would be nice to have a status thread. I know that is asking alot and we are very early in the "post-unlocked bootloader era", but I just want a device that has stock jelly bean on it! Even with Bean's ROM it is way too Touch-Wizy.
I would give money to that person, assuming they are committed to ongoing support (aka they own the SGH-I605).

sbrissen is "working" on it, and I'm guessing there will be a post about it at some point soon, but that is on his time table. It will be posted when ready for public consumption.
Also, the VZW version has a slightly different partition layout, but not overly different. Most of the partitions are at the same location as the international variant. The other versions didn't have an unlock process because their bootloader wasn't locked. The unlock guide you see posted is for the SIM card so you can use any carrier SIM in it.
Delete
The sad thing about the facebutt world is it created users who want everything now. There needs to be normal roms in mass and then we will get aokp. I can't think of a vzw phone whose boot loader was cracked so fast, I wasn't interested in the s3. The Htc phones I've had as of late took months to get "fixed" but that gave time for devs to work on their roms. I'm in enjoying my note as is [rooted & unlocked] at the moment. However, if you are looking for a timetable use 3 months and we should have some nice roms by then.

ive had this phone since december and ive been following it...just recently flashed the viper rom and am pretty happy with the performance. As for AOSP and such development, it got pretty close before the dev had to abandon the device because it was taking too much of his time. hopefully the dev he sent the phone to can figure it all out soon, and hopefully if we get the Sense 5, 4.2.2 update it will help!
I bought this phone after "Exploring" the Windows Lumina phones. And STILL bought a Nexus 4 because of the development. I agree, hopefully there will be a Dev who will show mercy on us AT&T customers and port Sense 5 and 4.2. to our beloved and much hated AT&T HTC One X+ . Even though I don't use the X+ much I still check the 2 roms out there for us and use them daily for a week or two. I miss Sense *Hint Hint*
As far as I know, Steve is the only one who's been working on it. Turge has been working on the one and lloir shipped his off to a new dev but I haven't heard any updates about that but his team is still making progress on aosp

Sent from my One X+ using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
There are porting guides out there that you can try and port it to your HOX+ . If you have the international version, you can base it off of your cm10 . Unfortunately for the ATT users (like me), we dont have a working cm10 to base ours from. I tried porting it using a sense base and I only got to bootanimation.
The problem with the HOX+ is that, despite being a great phone, it has a very small community and, at least on the inter-side, almost all developers have moved on to different phones.
One of the biggest HOX+ inter rom/kernel developers just broke his HOX+ too, as far as I can see all active non-Sense rom developers depended on him to some degree.
With, AFAIK, the last kernel developer/maintainer gone, even existing roms will start having a hard time staying up to date, as no-one will be able to fix kernel bugs or implement new kernel features that roms may require upstream.
I'm afraid that if you want something new for the HOX+, you'll have to make it yourself, there's no-one left to do it for you anymore, unfortunately.

I don't know who you're talking about. But if that developer is Lloir then believe me it wouldn't matter. Cause people asked him ages ago if he can make a MIUI ROM.. He said it's not open-source enough. And he also said he just can't stand MIUI.
I do agree with the small community thing though, I wish I bought a One X instead of the One X+
And I'm planning on buying an HTC M8 but I'm afraid it will have a small community so less ROMs and developers :|

I was indeed talking about Lloir. Indeed, Lloir won't have been the one to make Miui in any case, but he was the last remaining active kernel maintainer, something pretty much any other rom developer is depending on.
Plus, most rom developers for the HOX+ learned how to develop roms for the HOX+ from him in the first place.
While Lloir won't be making Miui, I think that, as long as no new kernel developer/maintainer will stand up, the HOX+ dev community will rapidly dry up completely, unfortunately.
That said however, we've been very lucky to have had these few talented developers in the first place (and still have a few), I've always been impressed at what the HOX+ community could do, despite it's size.
True that (Y) I don't know why but I'm not being able to quote you or press the thanks button o.o
