[Q] Samsung Galaxy S2 Camera - Cyanogenmod 9 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,
I´ve got my SgS2 working on Cyanogenmod 9, but find the camera app very disappointing compared to the stock one. It was almost as good as a digital camera, fast, more settings, and much better resolution.
Can any one recommend a better camera similar to the stock one?
Thanks :cyclops:

Hello everyone.
Just wanted to check if there is a port of the LG P760 stock camera for cyanogenmod 11? Tested a few cameras from the store but the image quality is bad.
Thanks

Try CameraZoom FX. I mean, the CM11 is great, but CameraZoom has some additional features, and it still makes the image quality better than stock..

[Q] ROM from s7580 (Trend Plus) on s7560 (Trend)?

Hello, does somebody tried to install stock rom from Galaxy Trend Plus (GT-S7580) with android 4.2 support onto Galaxy Trend (GT-S7560)?
Is it safe?
I know that the most of roms and modifications from Galaxy Ace II X works on Galaxy Trend, but there's no android 4.0+ that works well on this device (CyanogenMods are with bugs, and uses only 3mpx in CameraMX). I'm asking because design is the same, only difference is that the Trend Plus has CPU with 2 cores and also it can record videos in 720p, Trend in 480p. Maybe after installing that rom on Galaxy Trend it will can record videos in 720p and that at all will work stably and correctly?
In general, no.
I haven't had a research about GT-S7560, but Samsung equipped Android 4.0 to Trend for a reason: it's chip. The single-core on Trend cannot handle 4.0+ stock, and many people reported that on its own 4.0, the phone did't handle the UI very well (lags sometimes).
You can check again, Trend Plus is also incapable of recording 720p (or at less Samsung disabled that). In order to record 720p, the phone's chip and memory must be strong enough. If you want to record 720p videos, you may use a custom camera app. Maybe you would like to check out the modified version of Jelly Bean Gallery app from the stock Android (many on xda), that app supports recording 720p, even though on my Trend Plus, the video recorded was terribly laggy
Anyway, if you wish to have 720p, use custom camera apps (the stock Google version of Gallery which I installed also support 5MP photo capturing). If you want 4.0+ on a Trend, I recommend looking for ways to smoothen the CM
I'm looking for a custom ROM for s7580, but no development is going on
Can give me a link for the modde camera app ? And im also waiting for a forum to develop our galaxy trend plus

You can search about the stock 4.2 Gallery pk on Google
And... you know, I'm searching everyday for developments of our devices :'( still no hope yet...

Flashing custom rom will change camera quality

i have buy redmi note 3 after my samsung note 3 neo, but 16mp camera of rn3 is not good as samsung 8mp camera, sometime 8mp samsung photos are way better than rn3 16 mp, rn3 photos are very grainy when zoom in but samsung photos are very sharp, so i have read some post on miui forum and internet, and find in some user say that this probelm is due to image processing algorithm of miui, so flashing any custom rom will change my camera quality or not.
OK.
Are you asking a question, or are you telling us?

i am telling you my problem and asking for solution..
If you using MIUI stock camera, try another camera app like Google stock one.
MIUI Stock is over-saturated, over-sharpened.
I'm using customized setting for MIUI stock. Lowering everything, contrast, saturation, sharpness.
But camera movie quality on stock MiUi is great! Just Recorder a trial of my Band yesterday and result was best over all AOSP or CM13 tries I did before!!

How can I get the most out of Kenzo camera?

Hey guys, greetings from Africa!
I have been using my Kenzo as a daily driver for more than a year now, and I would like to know from you the best configuration of ROM & Kernel to get better photos & videos from this camera.
I have tried many ROMs, but eventually I return to MiUI 8 Global Stable in order to get acceptable results from this Samsung sensor!
Please guys, if you have any suggestions for better camera performance I will be glad to hear!
Use the Google camera hdr+ port on nougat, it's much better than miui camera imo
