This is the support thread for CM10.1 on the LG Optimus One. It's a major work in progress. It may cause all the things in the disclaimer to happen, or steal your girlfriend while you are busy flashing ROMs.
Google Apps are not included in this ROM. You'll need to find those yourself if you want them.

Thanks, I should have done that first.
Based on what I have read, CM10 is faster and has great features for a noob like me. But AOKP, even though some says that is a bit slower, has a lot more customizations.
I will try both for a few days to see how it goes.

Do you know if there is a way to change an option in the camera so that I cover the complete screen? On this one, the shutter button takes a huge part of the screen, I think that it is cause it includes the last picture preview on the control bar.

Quick question, I see that multi user is enabled in the pictures but I cant seen to access it in 2.3 and see no info pertaining a fix in 2.4.... Where is this setting?
Why do you guys always open new threads? And why not in the original development section?

I believe original development would be the creator of the ROM itself. Cyanogen for example. They made the rom but team liquid incorporated various ROMs into one there for making it a derivative of CyanogenMod thus not being " original "

Well, Carbon is a fork of LS (back when LS 4.2.X was still in early stages) but that doesn't mean that LS stopped being developed. Now, Carbon and LS aew two separate ROMs.

This looks very interesting. Can anyone comment on battery? g33k3r's PA was fantastic on the battery life side. Just didn't have call bug fix and a couple other things that RB has. Does this have call bug fix also? If so than I really would like to try it since I'm a huge PA fanboy. Lol. I'll wait till some more people try it out. Great work tho!!! So I tried this rom. Gotta say its a really cool rom and a lot of options. Runs really smooth but I think it may just be a tad bit slower then RB or the other PA on here. Cant comment on battery because as soon as the phone booted I tried making a call and it doesn't have call bug fix. After not having to deal with that now for awhile I just can't go back. Its so annoying. Lol. So back to RB. But with all that said it is really a cool rom and the options to play with and halo, I would def come back to it when it gets a fix or two. Great rom and great work!! Thanks for sharing it with us OP!! +1 :beer:

It looks super sharp and well done (especially appreciate the hybrid options), but the on-screen buttons are a real killer. Even if you set the buttons to 0 under ROM control, it leaves a black bar at the bottom. Thats quite an oversight there..
Can't say too much about speed yet because I dont have any personal benchmarking apps I compare with.

I concur!!!

I installed it, gsm and data work fine, signal bars only display 1 or 2 bars for me like evervolv, and still the graphical issues with browser and gapps. Very smooth though.

Same observations: ROM is as smooth as butter and quick. Data and WiFi acquisition is same as OEM sense. Excellent job! @sportsstar89
Only problems I've seen are the same as @jeepers007 evervolv kitkat, default browser and some gapps aren't rendering properly. They show as all black or have black blocks. Also camera issues, which has been mentioned. Again great work!
Awwww yeahhhh time for some CM styled Kitkat on the Amaze
Sportsstar is the man!
adapting for 3.4 kernel
hey sports is it alot of work to adapt a CM rom for the 3.4 kernel? if not can you adapt this or any JB version roughly for 3.4 kernel?? it's easier to test the kernel with a aosp rom than a sense rom..i dont have the minimum requirements to build up a rom from source cuz my whole pc has like less than 10GB free hard space ... just for the testing purposes of radio BT WIFI and sensors and audio :good:
This is awesome! Thanks for the great work!
Will have to revert back to jelly but once black box problem is solved
looking forward to this as daily driver.
I seem to be messing this install up, so I'm going to go back to your other awesome version. But first, a question:
Which gapps should one use with this?
Thank you,

I've been using PA Gapps and seems to work well. I've tried another in that past with Evervolv but can't remember which one but worked just as well...
here's a link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942 there seems to be a lot there!
Are those constant issues like call/speaker volume not working or external SD card mounting fixed at last? Is there maybe any chance of these fixes being backported to, say, 10.1 or 10.2?

2 questions: Will installing one of these AOSP roms (like PA) change the partition size of the phone, like Google Conversion does, or can I flash this and go back to Sense (i.e. Viper ROM) if I want? Also, Does this require S-Off?

Yeah, I do and I've still been playing with it. I don't know how I feel about this phone truly.

I'm loving it,but I am switching between the 5 and this a lot. Can't say it's way better, the camera is definitely worse, BUT the speakers and the metal make up for it in my opinion.

The metal is nice and the speakers are wonderful. Just waiting for more dev placement since usually nexus devices get the cream of the crop and other devices are forgotten about.

Just here to post about the wifi issues.
Not sure if the PA devs know about it yet (im sure they do).
A little more info: you can see and save the different AP's, but tapping connect does nothing.
Anyway, thanks for bringing this great project to the M8!
:good:
