Hi.
I have rooted and flashed a ROM (smoother bean) and this tablet works just fine. But I have a problem: When I plug my gtab to my PC it recognizes the device but has a little yellow triangle with exclamation mark which means I cannot access my files through my computer. Is there a way to fix this? OR Do I have to nvflash again?
Thanks for the help in advance!!! cheers
Try settings > Developer options > and check USB debugging notify.
My 2 cents

i Just flashed my g tablet to Vegan-tab ginger edition and i was going to transfer files over to the tablet via USB from my pc, all i see on the tablet is "USB debugging connected, select to disable it" On my pc i see the drive show up but it prompts me to insert a disk.
When i click on USB debugging to see these other options, the only ones i see are
USB debugging
USB debugging notify
Stay awake
Allow mock locations
Stop app via long-press
Device hostname
can someone please help?
There should also be a USB Media selection that says select to enable USB file transfers.
Select that, too.
I have the same problem too. I was told in another posting that its a vegan tab software issue. If you ever find a fix, please let me know.
Same problem
I have the same problem. My computer recognizes that something has been plugged in, but doesn't recognize what it is. I would definetly like to fix this. Vegan ginger is great, so I will stay with it either way, but haveing the USB work would be even better. Thanks all you programmers for all the hard work.
You need pershoot kernel for ginger to enable usb.

Hi everyone,
My dad has recently got a Galaxy Ace and I've been trying to update the firmware from Froyo to Gingerbread with Kies. the problem is I can find no option in the settings to set the USB connection mode to "PC Suite". I've looked through every sub-menu and can't find anything, nor is the instruction manual any help. The phone will only connect in mass-storage...
Any ideas? and thanks in advance!
Rob
Try connecting phone to the PC without doing anything else.

So i have added the insecure kernel but when i try and do the next part (Run S2 Root) i get the following error

S2 Root 1.5.1
Android Version 2.3.6
Kernel Version I9100XWKJ2
Anyone able to help its annoying the hell out of me have tried different USB ports get the same issue
Make sure samsung drivers are installed, try different USB ports, check USB debugging in settings.
If it doesnt work again, try it with a different computer if possible.
Ok when i turn off USB debugging on the phone the PC will connect to it. When it is on it wont?

If its on, then leave it. I meant check that the USB debugging is on.

That needs to be on, so the problem is elsewhere. Did you install samsung drivers, if you did, have you tried different USB ports?
I have downloaded the drivers and still not working
Still cant get it to work
Try this:

Read the instructions carefully though.
Hi all, Hope someone can save me from going insane.
I rooted my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and installed CM9 without any problems. Now I decided to try out another rom, but when I connect data cable to my pc via usb, nothing happens.I have checked in device manager and there is a Samsung Android ADB Interface listed. I went to update drivers and it says they are up to date!!
Tried with USB bugging enabled and disabled.
I just dont understand how I am able to instal a rom one day and not the next!!
My pc is on windows 7
Tablet is running,
Android version 4.0.3
Cyanogenmod 9.0.0-RCO-p4wifi-KANG
Turn of usb debugging
Go to Settings>Storage
you'll see the settings icon in the top right corner (three dots)
click that and select Media device (MTP)
That should do the trick!
Fantastic, worked like a treat, it now connects....thank you so much really appreciate your help
Hi mates,
My 'USB debugging' check box keeps disabling itself no matter how much ever I try enabling it. When I am on the screen(developers option), I tap on the check box and see it gets enabled. I click back button and go again inside. It remains disabled
Can someone who came across this help me ? having a rooted mobile without USB debugging is of no use
