Hi all,
I want to change bootanimation and kernel's picture, but I don't know how to do this :c I will be grateful if someone will help me with this. And please don't say that "Rom Toolbox (or something similar) can do this" coz I already tried it and there wasn't any graphics that I'm interested in. I've got zip with bootanimation but I don't know what to do with this.

As for kernel.....I think I saw that somewhere around here....try "the search this forum" and us good keywords.

Can anyone please create video for creating ROM from kitchen.
I tried creating ROM its created successfully, Upgraded successfully but when its restarted then I am getting poutlook VCDdemon certification errror.
So I think its better if anyone can create with the screen video with all details needed.

nice idea mate ....but have to think about the developers too...it might be a tough ask...
@bhusan: I understand a tutorial with stepwise screenshots will also be good enough.
Same here ....created wm6.5 rom...geting same error message "poutlook VCDdemon certification errror" ... please advice.... is somthing we are missing ...in creating the ROM...
I dont think the ROM gurus are looking at this Post.
I would be a great help to all of us who are intrested in creating ROM and making life easier and colourful for some of our windows mobile users.

just a quick request here, iv finally made a custom version of stock 2.1 for our mini pro's i want to upload it and get it out to you guys as i know you have all been waiting as long as i have. BUT i really want a custom bootanimation for the rom and i want it accompanied by a bootsound yet i cannot find a way to enable a boot sound on this device.
can anyone help me and i will happily put thanks to you in my rom thanks listing

I've no idea how the boot animations are loaded, is there a script or something that tells the phone to load it or something?
I was looking out of curiousity at the red alert live wallpaper which has sound attached in the META-INF folder, maybe you can apply a similar principle to the boot animation script if there is one????
Could somebody please upload the original boot up sound for me?
Mine was deleted when I installed a custom Rom and I want it back! More so though for the future when i get around to designing a custom boot animation and sound, I will know how the original was named and stored.

I already checked out a bunch of threads,even on cyanogen wiki but I couldn't find what I need.
I'm going to make my own rom from CM7,I already deleted/added my own apk's which I need,but I have a problem.
When I try to change the bootanimation.zip to another one,for ex the bios bootanimation for MDPI screens(can be found here in the forum),the phone doesn't boot,it stucks at the LG logo.
My second question is,can I delete the tts folder?(I don't need text-to-speech)
Also,can I delete some fonts which I will never use?Will the rom still run?
Also,how can I pre-set a wallpaper when it is installed?
ALSO(sorry for so much also),can I pre-set the RetroDroid(stock froyo) theme to be the default when I install the ROM?

i will make it short as we're all busy i think.
i added a shortcut in my systemUI's ''recent apps'' it works well if i use it with samsung taskmanager
now i wanted to point it to ''running apps'' in settings. i dont worked. catlog says i have to add permission into sysUI's manifest.-->done. NOW, the problem is:
NOW, it says i have to declear this activity in manifest , i looked in it but the listed under several points also i have no idea wher exactly put it in and problems with some values (i dont know what to do?!?!)
so before talking useless stuff, i attached screens of catlog. also i attach the androidmanifest.xml (decompiled, zipped) so may u take a look
