Hey guys..
I am planning to buy S3 and bit confused between the Vietnam and China model made by Samsung??
I see that Both Blue and White versions are made in Vietnam whereas the other colors are made in China???
I am willing to buy the Black one but???
I also heard that the resale price is less of a made in china phones??
Please could tell me if there is any problem reported with the made in china sets...

Samsung makes different regional phones which are region specific and have different hardware specs like US version has a dual core and UK version has a Quad-Core CPU so you should check the specs out and I don't know much about resale value but I suppose if the Chinese version is original (Made by Samsung) then it should not affect the resale.

Samsung came out today saying that the leaked specs were inaccurate. So while the device may be the SGS3 the specs may not.

I'll take a wild guess, and say that might actually be the model name for Samsung Hercules, which is just SGS2 with a slightly larger screen
which already got pictures leaked out for Telus and Tmobile USA
I think Samsung will hold back S3 specs until Apple play their hand. Apple remain very cute at the moment with I4 still doing amazing.

I just saw one in hong kong selling for us$650. Anyone has one? And how do you like it.
The only thing that is preventing me is the battery life... And of course the lack of large community support. I guess 2 things.

I don't know whether there is a global launch. I saw it from a llace where they sell import goods. Nevertheless, $650, seems to be a reasonable price.
Pretty sure it'll works in hk and us.
This is like better than the galaxy nexus with better camera and memory expansion and hd screen. Man....

With my knowledge, I think it's not a global launch. The vendor might take it from Korea??

yes it worked in HK.. u can even get it cheaper than $650 through Chinese website. this phone is great but just too new and lack of discussions and roms.. most of the mods and themes came from korean community...
Decided to go with the International version instead of the att one. Do you guys have any info on where to order online and get a batch 2 (or newer?) device?

I would try websites that are in the UK that might seem the international version like Amazon.co.uk but wouldn't you want lte as the international version doesn't support lte? Also the quad core processor might drain the battery faster though things you need to look out for.
Edit: I believe you can buy stuff from Amazon.co.uk and will ship to the USA

I know, but I rather have the dev support. Besides, I'm on wifi 90% of the day, so don't really need lte. Also, I'm pretty sure lte will drain more than the quad core processor.

I recommend going with Expansys USA since they are a USA vendor and you can get a square and trade warranty.

Nope, Amazon UK does not ship phones to the US (not sure about seller from their marketplace)...

But seriously though, the baseband may not be compatible with your region. Why not get the garnet red version?
Dude the Korean S3 is a totally different beast. The phone is so much different than what we are using. The best thing is to wait for the parts to come out and install them on a 9300. The pink hasn't come out in Korea yet either.
