So... any of you guys tried this? I haven't been running it today, no need at this point with MikShift, but if/when I go back to AOSP-based roms, it will definitely be my launcher of choice, especially if they continue to develop and include matching widgets for each Launcher interface.
Thought I'd put the word out, it's quite a nifty home replacement. Find it on XDA or Market.

I was trying out "MYLAUNCHER" that's free in the market. I gotta say, it's not that bad. Still in beta though and in the early stages so not much in the settings menu...
Back to ADW for me for the time being...
Yeah, seemed really boring. Just different docks, right? I think that's supposed to be part of the appeal but it wasn't for me.

If they do decide to include widgets to match the different docks, (sense, blur, touchwiz styled) then it'll be amazing.

Just tried it. Not too bad. I hate horizontal scrolling app drawers but I like the sort options and being able to reorder the apps. The animated trash can opening up eager for my junk was cool too.

Yes, it would. But, since its open source anyone can build and modify it to release with their roms.
If someone wantexd to do that and include widgets, I don't see the harm.

Just want to get a view of interest if this theme would be wanted by anyone. I loved it and built it right before the 3.5 craze.
Like stated in rader3bravos thread sense stuff cant be themed, but if your using an alt launcher it would work.
Please vote, and if you want reply with what rom you would like to see it on.

Ya bud, port it over. The more themes for this phone, the better. I could always use some help with finding new framework, so by all means, port away.
Thats a very nice theme you got there .
Looks amazing I like it simple

yup its nice, but i wish someone would make a rom and theme which make the phone really stand out tech wise. Would love things like the snapshot picture or video which shows on cover of album for pics or vids, or even ont he widget on desktop to actually play life preview as the snapshot your hovering over, or make everything all techy and extremely futuristic if you know what i mean

Meaning new png's from Sense 3.0. There are at least 50 +, png's that need to be resized. There's also entirely new png's I've never themed before. It's going to take some time to get it fully themed.

I would love to have it! I'm using ADW, but have used LP with other phones. I'm running the Senseless Rom from ScottsRoms.com and my rezound is running much more smoothly and quickly without Sense.
I seriously dislike the TouchWiz UI. It's very boring and dull, I love the way stock Android looks with its dark and light blue theme, very minimalistic and intuitive and I hate the way TouchWiz is just black grey and a mixture of other colors. I'm using NovaLuancher but it only changes the home screen, I'm looking for stock android settings menu and notification/status bar. Is there a solution to this yet? Putting stock ICS on the Galaxy S3? Or are there any launchers or skins that make the settings menu and notifications look like stock ICS?
No one? I'd also like to know.

Forgive my ignorance but I've been a iOS user since the first iPhone and I just switched to ICS because I was sick of the iPhone. What is AOSP? I know what CM9 is, what would you recommend me to install on my phone?
AOSP stands for "Android Open Soruce Poject" it is basally the barebone android OS made by Google for all to see. Many roms are based off of it, as the code is release soon after googles flagship nexus devices.
I like aosp too but dont yiu guys think it makes the phone look cheap? I find touchwiz icons classy..
I would suggest waiting a month or so after your carrier gets it to put a custom ROM on it. By then a lot of bugs well have been worked out and there will be some great tutorials available.

no, because you can customize it to your liking. there are thousands of options.
to the op download a launcher and it might imprve your experience.
I doubt CM9 or other stock ICS ROMs will have features like smart stay or s voice...if they do include them, that would be awesome!

CM9 for SGS3 would be custom to suit the S3.. So I'm sure it would include all the features unique only to the S3....
I think the TouchWiz 5 UI is quite nice, MUCH better than the 4.0 on my SGSII, however, I use Nova launcher because S launcher is driving me crazy
Nevertheless, AOSP is still much better, and as the SGSIII is a hugely successful and famous device, so it won't take long for the first AOSP roms to spread from the ground Just have a look at the SGSII
cheers

I would like to know if there is a ROM that is as close as possible to AOSP (cm10 preferred) but which has the stock camera.

I have only every seen a handful of hybrid roms and they are difficult to maintain from my experience with them, the closest you will get is if someone can import the libs and somehow get it working that way but things like image sense are proprietary and it takes a lot of work to reverse stuff like that. Try one of the bloat removing scripts, I don't remember the name but one removes rosie and replaces it with a ics/jb based launcher so you aren't just running a launcher on top of rosie
If you install the new Viper 2.0 ROM you can choose to install it "Senseless" which gives largely the look of CM10, but you'll still have the Sense Camera

Good to know, I have yet to try viper. Seems just like that wipe script I saw a few months back. Aroma has a lot of customization built in.

RacerOfAll has a sick AOSP theme because he hates Sense but wants to keep using Sense features like the camera.
His Viper4G 1.0 theme is awesome, but now Viper is on 2.0 and the theme hasn't been updated, yet, so for the now I've manually pulled some of his apk's from the theme, manually replaced other apk's with AOSP versions and am using an HTC ICS skin and a 3rd party ICS launcher.
Basically, there's lots of stuff you can do to Sense ROMS to make them appear near-identical to AOSP while keeping Sense under the hood.

Awesome, man! You're gonna love it! I'm not going to release anything publicly, but once you're rooted let me know and I can send you the apks I use to make my phone look stock ICS.
I recommend Viper4G ROM from the Original Android Development forum. It comes with an awesome tweaks app that will let you customize the icons in your status bar to AOSP style. If you flash a different ROM I'll help you get it as AOSP as possible but you'd be on your own for the status bar
I might start a thread in the theming forum with screen shots of my setup and directions on how to emulate it now that I think about it. I'll be out of town Sunday so I'll check back here on Monday

Well ... after trying Stock, CM10, and MIUI, I was having buyer's remorse ...
But then I installed CleanROM DE.
Holy crap! This thing rocks!
I'm assuming I'm not alone here, as I have seen many people across the forums saying that they have either already gone to, or are thinking of flashing an AOSP ROM, and are worried about losing all of those Samsung Goodies (Like hover, air gestures, eye control, TW Camera, etc.) They generally also seem to want the customizability of a custom rom, as well. So, let's discuss how people have gone about getting that JB feel on a TW ROM.
The way I currently have this set up is with the Hyperdrive 5.7 ROM as a base. With just that, you get a smoother, faster, and enormously feature-packed TW ROM. The customization you can accomplish with this ROM is very impressive, especially considering it is TouchWiz. On top of this, I'm running - yep, you guessed it - Nova Launcher.
Nova Launcher is, in my opinion, the obvious choice for getting stock JB feel on any device. Nova allows the important customizations made to Hyperdrive to continue working, while adding the JB feel right on top. I've also run the script from within Hyperdrive to enable the Nexus 4 Softkeys, and I've shut off the lights on the capacitive keys on the device itself. This makes them completely invisible, so the device looks much more like a Nexus device, if you like that sort of thing.
What do you guys think? What other options are out there? I'm looking to give some insight to users who may want to get this type of feel on their S4, while also getting some feedback or better/different ways of achieving this. Good luck, and happy theming!

What does the dialer look like? Still the ugly white?
What about incoming call screen?
Just changing the launcher doesn't make it AOSP themed.

Why don't you just go check out the ROM thread yourself before completely discounting it? No, it does not have the white dialer. It's very well themed and runs great.

Yeah. So the dialer and incoming calls are both part of the TW base. Nova launcher is just that; a home/launcher replacement. Just as you said. Though I am sure there are theming options for these things through third party methods, since many people dislike TW appearances.
I am just trying to get more of an AOSP look/feel, doesn't need to be completely coated in JB.

I fully understood the point of the thread which is why I suggested Eclipse ROM. It's Touchwiz based and includes all the Touchwiz gimmicks as well as the TW camera. It's most certainly NOT an AOSP ROM as you seem to think it is. It's just a very well themed Touchwiz ROM.
