Unless you have a Dev unlocked Lumia 920, currently the only way to install apps is through the Microsoft store.

Hi everyone, I'm new here so sorry if I post this in the wrong forum.
Anyway, I recently bought a Nokia Lumia 800 and was wondering what "jailbreak" options are available to me?
I'm not new to homebrew so don't think I'm a noob, I'm just not familiar with the Lumia hacking scene.
I understand that there are two types of bootloader, Qualcomm and DLoad, and only Qualcomm is able to have a custom ROM installed.
What are the benefits of unlocking/installing custom ROM? There are several issues I have with the phone at the moment, and I assume the homebrew community has come up with solutions (eg. Make the message text bigger etc.) that are available if you unlock so if Iis, I will. can do th
Thanks for any help,

Hello ,i`m a newbie in the Windwosphone world and i don`t know anything about it for start ,but i`m learning fast
I wanna understand few question , who can help me i`ll be thank full to him
i registred my nokia to deploy apps to it , and reached the maximum of 3 apps, i read about other way to deploy apps is to jaibreak
but i dont know how to jailbreak , maybe if i fail it , this will kill my lumia? or something
Should i jailbreak my l800 , Pro/cons of jailbreak?
Can i update my software(now is WP7.5) after jailbreak ( from zune > setting >phone>update)
other way then jailbreak to test apps on windows phone
Thank you!
It depends on the way you want to jailbreak your lumia. If you want to deploy 10 apps you can get a developer unlock, you can look for it in the internet. If you have quallcomm bootloader, you can install a custom fully unlocked firmware, but there is a risk of bricking your phone, unless you follow the manual.
Hi guys,
Last night I managed to get my lumia 800 developer unlocked through Microsoft's website and Dreamspark as I am a student however after spending an hour or so downloading the SDK and installing it I found that I need root for most homebrew applications.
I've looked through a lot of threads and found that I have the Nokia DLOAD bootloader, however most of the threads are old.
My questions are; How do I go about getting root access to my phone?
and 2: What are my options?
Thanks for your replies!
I do not think there is anything that can be done at this point, unless you have the qualcomm bootloader. I am in the same situation.
Nope, you have to first gain interop-unlock. What kind of homebrew apps do you need anyway? The basic ones like screencapture and marketplace changer are enough for dev-unlock, just check with the developer or read the info.

How did you manage to get marketplace config to work without root access?

I was hoping to get ringtone2sms (Found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1634842) working. Haven't had a chance to check out many more homebrew apps so far.
Good afternoon. I count on a team Alcatel Fierce XL with Windows 10 Mobile. I am new to this... What tools do I need to do interop? There is an Android version of this phone. Is it possible to install Android to the version of Windows 10 Mobile? What are the steps to follow to take advantage of my phone? I appreciate any help you can get.
if manufacturer not provided OS switching, is impossible...
just read interop tools instructions in first post...
