Hi I just notice on my lock screen I have some light blotches on left hand side when I have a black wallpaper selected but when i have black wallpaper on home screen it doesn't show it does anyone else have this problem thanks

I figured it out if you have the ripple effect on it has it when I take it off its normal it has something to do with the ripple effect

Its the amolded panel. Only way to fix is an exchange. No guarantee the next won't have it thou.

So its not a hardware problem? Are you sure? Because blotches is only when customers using Ripple effect.

Yes I do have a screen burn which looks like the power off symbol on my bottom half of screen. I have no clue where it comes from though... Never had something like that shown on my display.
It is only visible on brighter gray and if you look close so since I prefer colourful wallpaper I only see it sometimes when pulling down notification bar

I have it also a tiny spot 2mms across which is seen on gray and brighter colors, not that much, almost nothing on dark colors.

Yes, I have slight burn-in from the AOSP Clock (time and the buttons at the bottom).
I've got one above the misdemeanor towards right corner of the screen. Gonna replace screen, never seen on previous exchanges models.

Yes...I've burn in of opera mobile's reload and tabs icon at the bottom... Specially visible when the screen is of near white color! Sad to see it happening so soon

I gave my 5 year old son my old Galaxy S. He loves it and it pretty good with it but he keeps going into the app drawer and going into things he's not supposed to.
Is there a way to lock to app drawer?
I tried Go Launcher and I was able to remove the app drawer. However if he hits the menu button in go launcher, he'd be able to do a whole lot of damage. lol
The phone's rooted, if that helps
Any ideas?

I have both the Palm cover to mute and hand swipe for screen shot enabled and neither one are working. My coworker also has a note 2 and his isn't working either. I checked the sensors with the diagnostic menu and all appear to be working. Any ideas? Thanks

I noticed it as well when I returned to stock. I turned the settings on and it didn't work for a couple days. Now all the sudden it's working flawlessly. Dunno if it was rebooting the phone or a battery pull or the thing has a mind of its own!
I just got my phone yesterday and have not rooted it or modified it at all

I thought Palm swipe wasn't working but turns out the edge of your hand actually has to drag across the screen. Maybe you already knew that though.
Haven't tried the cover to mute. Will report back.
Edit. I love multiview. Tested the flip to mute and it works in the test for an incoming call but maybe it doesn't mute system wide just for particular apps? Ditto for Palm cover to mute

So this may sound strange, and very picky. But here goes - When I have a stock samsung wallpaper on my lock screen wallpaper, the status bar up top is transparent.. Looks awesome! When I put a wallpaper from Zedge on there, the status bar is that ugly grey color. So i think hmph must be the non stock wallpapers. My wife puts a zedge wallpaper on her lock screen (identical vzw gs4) BOOM! HERS IS TRANSPARENT. I've been able to get it to be transparent by doing like a weird combo of stock wallpaper on both, then non stock wallpaper on lock, then back to non stock on home and it is transparent...but then I went to change it again and it's back to grey... is this a damn bug or anyone else know what is going on!?!?

So Ive been messing around with this phone for a while now and I love my Dashclock widget. My question is when I turn on my screen it shows the generic touchwiz missed call. Is there a way to just have Dashclock take care of that and not have TW show up and handle my notifications.

Guessing even with just swipe to unlock that causes issues also , well that just sucks.

I tried turning off lock screen security and now i can't even see my dash clock.
that annoying samsung missed call widget always comes up. maybe delete the widget from /system/app?
i really wish i could get dashclock widgets to be fully extended by default on the lock screen
