I was browsing google when I found on XDA china that a user has successfully compiled a CM9 ROM for this device (t328w/desire v). As I am not able to read chinese, I cannot make out if there are any bugs, what's working, etc.
I will be trying it later tonight, however anybody here is free to try it out and let the community know

Bug Chip
bugs
The home button only works to unlock the screen whenever you try to open any programs that you installed after you install the rom, it closes and the phone vibrates
proximity sensor and magnetude
Most of these bugs will be resolved later on

I knew about 2month ago, this fixed only support for pa rom, pacman, if you try on cm10 you can get your front camera work but no sound on your device..

i think it is kernel problem.. because i had this issue before..
try to reboot, and see if the wifi is working or not,
if not, try do fresh install, Flash FW and kernel, then install CM10..

Mine working fine too using FXP146, Mesa kernel 2.3 JB
I used fxp kernel without any problem.
. And mesa kernel with wifi modules

Go to CM10 trhead a look for MB66 user in the lasts replies to that post. Look in his signature and use his ROM. It has some changes over the FXP ROM, but only a few fixes of minor bugs and a extended kernel. I'm using it and it's very stable

wifi problems with miniCm10
If your WIFI is stuck on 'switching on' this is a really easy fix.
First you need to have root explorer installed on your phone
(root explorer is a paid app)
open root explorer and click DATA > MISC> WIFI
in the WIFI folder delete the file 'wpa_supplicant.conf' (NOTE this file will be returned on reboot)
once deleted reboot your phone.
this fixed my WIFI issue ... hope it fixes your

dont worry about that man,
you always have the option to try other custom roms if that issue is bothering you.
just try this Android 2.3.7 base on AOSP v.2.0 with 2.6.35.10 kernel by miroslav_mm
and im sure, it would solve your problem

CM10 on this phone works nice without google account, facebook and i think now on this phone better is aosp 2.3.7
why there is no wifi direct(a big feature) in ver 3.0
though this rom is fast but include wifi direct in the next update as was there in previous versions..........

Been quite a while, but now my Z1 needs a repair/replacement so I'm back to my old Neo and I wanna make a fast rom for it. I'll make 1 rom with a tweaked kernel
The question is, which rom do you guys prefer?
- Slimkat: well known rom, doesn't need any explanation I think
- Omni: same story
My preference goes to slimkat

Mainly browser lags ( Of course fix is available)
Cam quality is poor
Audio quality is poor
FM, HDMI do not work
WIFI, Bluetooth drops
Battery consumption is very high with wireless connectivity.

I'm using same kernel, but I'm going to tweak it, I'm only having some issues with recovery.img, I got slimkat compiling, but recovery.img gives an error, will fix that first

now i'm unable to wait to use it on my neo .. because rom directly from experienced " neo/mt15i/hallon " user :good:
hallon users always need to use camera patch to try new roms with neo v kernel . ..

Just build first complete rom will test it tonight and release tomorrow if it's stable enough
