[App] Hide Bottom Bar - Nexus 10 Themes and Apps

Hide Bottom Bar - $1.30
This app is currently on sale right now for the holiday and I've tested it on the N10, it works great! If you haven't seen the Enormous List of Holiday Games and Apps on sale, check it out.

thanks but seems to hide my top bar too

Must be jelly bean. I'm using GMD for multi touch functions and the standard status bar command kills both top and bottom. On ICS it only kills the bottom. But that makes sense due to jelly bean splitting the notifications from the status bar.

[Q] Changing Status Bar Icon Order

I recently updated to gingerbread from to froyo and now the order of apps on the right side of the status bar are different. Is there a way to rearrange these?

If you are in cyanogenmod you can(go to settings, cyanogenmod settings, interface, notification power widgets and finally go to widget button order)
I'm not referring to the power bar. I'm referring to the notification bar I thought the terms were interchangeable.

lol sorry...

[Q] Status/ Notification bar over crowding

Dear XDA people
I am sure this has happened to many - with persistent notifications the status bar is all taken up and any new notifications do not show up without dropping the notification scroll.
Short of removing persistent notifications, I have tried No LED/ Super Notifier/ Super Status Bar/ Status Bar Pro - all have one or the other problems. For example the Super Status bar just did not work. So I am writing to ask??
Is there an elegant solution - such as maybe double wide status bar, or like windows - hiding the notifications you do not need to see but they're still there (so you can ensure the app did not go quit on ya).
I am running a Verizon Spectrum LG VS920 Stock GB ROM.
Thanks for reading this far. Have a good day.
Bump

[Q] Getting rid of Status Bar on 4.1

I need to get rid of the system bar on Android 4.1 tablets since the tablets will be in a commercial/retail environment and be used for business. My app will be the only app used on the tablet and it needs as much screen real estate as possible for what we're trying to do. I have searched already and I see that there are ways to do it on a rooted tablet, however since this will be in a business and deployed to several hundred or thousand businesses, I cannot have all the tablets rooted for legal and security issues. (Would I really have issues legally though if I were to root them?)
I know that you can dim the status bar and make the buttons dots but that really isn't optimal.
If there is no way to get rid of it, is it possible to change the status bar icons and functionality? I ask this because our app has a status bar on top and we could possibly move it to the bottom and change the icons and functionality of the status bar to match the app's status bar so no screen real estate is lost.
I have read that 4.2 adds some fullscreen functionality for apps. Is this true? Can the status bar be hidden in 4.2 as opposed to 4.1?
You could get rid of statusbar
Add this attribute to activity declaration in manifest
android:theme="@android:style/Theme.NoTitleBar.Fullscreen"

That just gets rid of the title bar for the app and the notification bar at the top. That does not get rid of the navigation bar at the bottom. I would like the navigation(system) bar to be gone.

I know but for un rooted dev this is the only thing that can be done
To completely remove statusbar del the Systemui.apk from system/app
To remove navigation bar at the bottom give me details of your dev and attach Systemui.apk and framework-res.apk they can be found in system/app and system/framework
But this can't be done without root
Press Thanx Button dude

Re: Getting rid of Status Bar on 4.1
Here's what I would do:
- Setup another Launcher (like Apex) to where 1) only one page, one icon (your app), and lock the homescreen from any changes, 2) make sure that when you press Menu, it performs a different action than giving you an option to access Settings, and 3) disabling the Status Bar in 'General'.
- Change the attribute in the Manifest file like sak-venom1997 suggested.
I'm pretty sure that doing this would give the user no option to change anything. Pretty sure.

Transparent status bar and saving current look for update

Hello! I'm new to Androids and so far I like it but I do have questions.
1. Is there any way to make the status/notification bar transparent on my HTC One?
I installed the apex launcher which allows me to hide the status bar entirely but I find that a bit annoying because I like to see the information on my notification bar at all times (i.e. time, connection). I just want the black strip to be transparent.
2. I just found out that there is an update to the software (4.3) and I'm currently on 4.1.2. If I install the update, will everything on my phone reset? Will I lose the layout of my icons with the apex launcher or Sense?
Status bar becomes transparent with 4.3 update. Does the green led seem brighter after update?

That black navigation bar

I can't be the only one who is annoyed by this - many apps have the navigation bar black at the bottom and the chin looks twice as big as it is. It's bugging the hell out of me and I was wondering if anybody knew how to change this so it matches the color of the app you're in.
