I have read so much here i am actually burnt out and completely lost...First off..the tab i have is a gtp7510 I/O..its the one from the developers conference...it is running 3.1 in it now..its unlocked as i checked it out...now what i am asking is if some one can compile a list of the programs i need to get a rom inserted...reason i am asking is i want to make sure its for this model or the 7510 retail..should work in both...I have searched for days an read 1000 articles..an all seem different..i just want the simple way t do this..
Just need a list of what i need for programs to get the rom in .... an i will find them..I hope...I am on over load right now..so any help would be gladly appreciated

hello, i just purchased a htc S740, and it seems to be going very well, i would like to know if anyone can point me in the right direction for a tutorial to be able to flash the rose with another rom, as i would like to get certain java programs running which at the moment dont work. i been trawling the forums for a few days nowto no avail, and quite scared in case i brick my fone choosing the wrong tutorial!

when i use th RUU to flash a new rom, met an error.
You don't have to flash a new ROM to get Java programs to run. Just install a different Java-App. Search the forum and you'll find a couple!
I have the Galaxy Tab P1000L
I been trying to root it with Superoneclick and with DoomLord Zergrush, I keep failing all attempts, as I did research on this, I found out some info that says it is not possibe to root Gingerbread 2.3.6 (what I have) and that I need to dowgrade to 2.3.5 or to froyo (which is it?) , but SamMobile does not have Froyo available for download anymore...
So basically, I need to know how to root 2.3.6, main reason is I want to be able to change my Tab's HotSpot channel, and I read that this is only possible on a rooted GTab.

( Secondary question: On a quick note, is it possible to upgrade to HoneyComb/is it worth it?)
Hope someone can help, I tried several things yesterday with no success, I had to stop for the day.
My P1000L is from Mexico Telcel with Gingerbread 2.3.6, I would like to downgrade to root, then either re-flash rooted firmware or move up to rooted Honeycomb if that is considered a better option, I am honestly not happy with Gingerbread WiFi performance at all, it wont auto connect to my home WiFi or hold a HotSpot sharing for long before it defaults to AndroidAP +default random password, bfore with Froyo I didnt have that problem. Just want to try custom firmware before I give u on it...

Waited a few days but no answer, it must be too newb of a question, the fact is I am a newb at this, i'll try to do my 10 posts so I can do proper searches, this forum is huge.
At this point my better guess is to try downgrading to stock telcel P1000L firmware and then take it from there, GB 2.3.6 just not root friendly at all...
Still, if anybody can offer even a direction to go with this I will appreciate it very much...
hi there, use the humberOS gingerbread is the most stable rom i have tested (i have tested a lot!) i dont have complains but an issue about the buying on the market, u cant buy anything! but u can fix it easily, anyway, is the best, i leave u some links to check it out

Please can anyone tell me where to find a good and stable ROM for flashing my HTC Tianxi T9188. My brother brought it back from China and left it with me. Unfortunately, I dont understand the Chinese language it came with and need to flash in an English ROM to be able to use the phone.
Its a shame that I have such a nice phone but cant use it due to the language issue.

HTC Tianxi is the China only released version of the HD2. Some differences - CPU, RAM and TD-SCDMA. To me this seems a slightly lower spec'd phone than the HD2.
Check out pdadb.net - run pdacomparer. Doubt there would be any other language version's. At your own risk you could try some HD2 - built roms or ICS Andriod roms.
Thats the problem tx. I was hoping I culd get an English ROM for the HTC Tianxi T9188 and not have to experiment with the HD2 ROMs, considering that both phones have different hardwares. Thats the risk I dont wanna take cos of the possibility of bricking the phone. I did come across an Android ROM though but I can see CHS in the name of the ROM which tells me that it is still a Chinese ROM all the same.
Another problem I am facing is flashing the HardSPL for the Tianxi. It us using SPL 1.27.0000 and I cant find a hardspl flasher which is compatible with it. I have searched here and in other forums and Google and any other place you can think of, still nothing. Have tried the ones I have seen online and always met an error. Any help here will be most appreciated.

If you have SD Card try loading (SD version) in the root and (MAGLDR) boot etc. If that works then it may take NAND versions.
Other than experiment, sorry cant be of more help.
I have tried all the hardspl flashers I can find in the thread you gave ... from HSPL to HSPL4. Non of them could work for the Tianxi. All gave the same BAD ID error and wont flash the HardSPL.
Please help me anyone ... I am getting frustrated by this

Hi again. About 1,5 year ago i got chinese tablet Androra A713 where was maybe crappiest rom ever with tons of bloatware. Im noob with cooking but im in university of appliedscienses: CompSci so these things arent be so new to me. I dont be sure is g-sensor working with my tab but TS&Keys not work. Keys swap place and TS not work at all. I cant yet post link to here but i have uploaded rar with modules(fold with .ko`s), icd(folder), getevent(screenshot), lsmod(screenshot) and of course CMod wich im trying to get work.
Please somebody help me!!! My tablet is ok with my modified rom but i think CM will unleach power of chiTab.

First off I will a say I'm a newbie at this and very very confused. Long story short I've got a pile of old Samsung Android devices which I'm hoping to update to make them useable again.
I've done a few successfully so understand the Odin and TWRP bits but where I'm struggling is the code names for the device and finding a suitable ROM for that device for example the Tab S2 how can I tell if a device would be gts210wifi or gts210vewifi? Is there a way to get the device to tell you its name?
I spent most of yesterday afternoon fruitlessly searching for a ROM for a Tab 3 7" wifi.
If anybody knows of some sort of document that explains things then I'd be grateful.
