[Q] Bugs fixed in JB roms? - Motorola Droid RAZR

So now that the JB ota is out. will all the roms on JB fix like camera flash and the screen rotation? I would love to use those but i just need everything to work.

The ROMs based on CM10 and CNA Jellybean have their own source code appart from moto's one and that there is now an official JB doesn't necessarily implies that the bugs mentioned will solve faster, could help but just that; you can take CM9 roms as an example, even when moto's ICS was out It still passed some time before there were a completely functional CM9 and even then the HDMI/webtop couldn't be solved because of propietary (crypted?) code, but take for sure that at least those ROMs that will be based on the leak (not CM nor other) will be working as they have to

[Q] Jelly Bean CM10 Kexec Rom Camera

Very happy to have found the KEXEC CM10 JB Rom here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863857) ... Installed using safestrap3 without a hitch. As expected, everything critical appears to work except for the Camera and HDMI. Neither of which are critical, of course, but I wanted to just check in to see if there were any available workarounds for the Camera. Unable to post on the original thread yet so hoping one of the dev's happens to stumble along here
Thanks for all the great work.

[Q] Xperia Mini Pro: Latest update is a torture. Required Cutom Rom Suggestions

Hi,
I am not at all satisfied with the performance of the official latest update provided by Sony i.e., 4.1.B.0.587.
Posted many times on their support forum but no solution received yet.
It has several issues, naming few:
Hanging Issue (phone is on standby mode and suddenly starts ringing without any display on screen until you turn it off).
Battery Drainage (Major portion of the battery is consumed by Android OS).
Low on stability and performance. (very slow)
Current Version Details:
Model: Sony Xperia Mini Pro / SK17i
Android Version: 4.0.4
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9 -perf (Why is Sony still using kernel 2.6.x when they should have switched to 3.x?)
Build Number: 4.1.B.0.587
I am looking forward for a custom ROM installation. Kindly suggest me the best ROM for my phone (I have also read on some forums that MIUI is better than CyanogenMod). Is that so???
It is the first time I am doing any custom installation on phone so will really appreciate if you can provide me the links of the forum from where I can get the details of how to proceed with the same.
Eagerly waiting for a prompt and positive response.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I know about that post, I am dicey between CM & MIUI, just wanted the suggestions/feedback on both so that there is more clear picture in front of me.
Also should I wait for more stable JB?

Is your bootloader unlocked? Otherwise forget about cyanogenmod.
You could try my MIUI rom, it works on locked bootloader, too!
MIUI has lots of features, many are very great and usefull. There are great little things like being on lockscreen and holding homebutton acivates the flashlight.
MIUI is great, so just try it. How to install custom roms is in my signature, my MIUI rom, too :good:
And please read the sticked threads next time!

read sticky threads before posting
cm7 is based on vanilla gingerbread android source and it is fast. got more bugs than stock gingerbread rom.
ics miui is based on stock ics. its beautiful and got more feature than cm but its hunger on resource and sometime can be laggy too.
cm9 is based on vanilla ics android source and it is fast. but probably got more bugs than stock based rom.
aokp ics is based on vanilla ics android source too and same as source based rom, it is fast. got more feature than cm9 and inherit the same bugs as cm9.
paranoid android ics is the same, based on vanilla ics android source and it is fast too. got a feature exclusive to it which is ability to chose between phone ui, table ui or hybrid between both. imho not really suitable for our small screen phone.
cm10 is based on vanilla jellybean android source, got more bugs than cm9.
aokp jellybean is based on vanilla jellybean android source too, got more feature than cm10 and inherit same bugs as cm10.
paranoid android jellbean is same, based on vanilla jellybean android source. same as paranoid android ics, got the ability to chose between phone ui, tablet ui or hybrid. got the same bugs as cm10.
pacman jellybean is a hybrid between cm10, aokp and paranoid android. got all feature of those three, some sort of mash up rom. its based on vanilla jellybean android source too and inherit the same bugs as cm10.
that should sum it all up.

[Q] google sky works...photosphere doesnt

any ideas???both use a gyroscope right?
From all I have read, all ROMs running jellybean are still having difficulty with the stock 4.1.1 camera. Until the time comes that the base CyanogenMod or AOKP builds are fixed up there is really no way to get the camera up and running from 4.1.1 much less 4.2. I may be mistaken, but it is all over all the jellybean threads I have read, as well as the ROMs I have installed.
Now this may change with the completion of the kexec ROM source. Kexec is just a fancy name for bypassing the boot loader and installing a custom kernel. Just FYI, if you didn't know what that was already.
Hope this help.
P.S. I think I remember seeing that Max from High on Android had reviewed a ROM called eclipse that may have had the photosphere camera working. Seems like it was an ICS ROM though...

[Q] Difference between KEXEC cm10 and CM10?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801379
I find two versions of CM10 in this tutorial which are CM10 with and without KEXEC respectively.
SO what is the difference between of them?
thanks!!
I believe that kexec cm10 is a ROM version which has a custom kernel that " hijacks" the stock kernel when booting. But I warn you it has a lot of major bugs like no camera, battery drain, and much more. On the other hand Just regular cm10 is fairly stable and runs off the stock kernel (recommended). But remember since the new leaked jb ota came out for the RAZR. You just can't flash a ROM made for the ICS ota on the jb ota. UNLESS YOU USE KEXEC. THIS ONE WILL WORK ON ALL OTAs
Hope I helped

[Q] success in call recording atrix!!!

dear users ported successfully recording function called the Chinese rom for laytveyit soon post the rom already 100% functional, most need some help because I wanted to also carry CM7, CM9 or CM10, wanted to know which versions of android is possible to run on kernel 2.6.32.9? if possible put him in a CM7, ics or jb, which process should I use? because this function comes from the kernel and some libs
?????????????????????????????
What do u want to say??
whether it is possible to port jb 4.1 for kernel 2.6.32.9 stock, even with bugs due to lack of drivers and libs for the motorola ics! it would be possible to use the recording function call in a rom jb
