Is there a reprogram code the update profile is acting up......
Sent from my MB855 using XDA Premium App
the only "reprogram code" I know of is to send it back to sprint. I have the same problem daily. just look at my other post. but obviously I got one of the bad patch of phones when they first came out. Even though I just got it last month........so yea either a replacement or just get another phone.
Try a hard reset. That seemed to work for me.

Can you modify code in the build.prop? I was getting update popups to install the latest ota because I am running alien ROM. I changed the build in text editor and I don't get the update anymore.

Turn off phone hold down the volume down button and the power button until it pops up I believe that's correct haven't done it in awhile
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
And you might have to flash a GB modem as mark did

Kies does the same on mine. And my Note is stock unrooted.... Kies always asks me to update to the newest version, it appearz to update but when it starts up again, back to phase one

I just called Samsung and they told me to wait 72 breaking hours and then it should work....I've waited long enough for ICS...and now this crap...no other methods worked so i guess im stuck regardless

This may have been a test release where they open the flood gates for a short while and then close it again.
I doubt it is due to the massive amount of updates since it was via Kies and not OTA, not many people would check that every day (in my opinion)
Sorry guys. Hopefully something works out soon)
Anyone know why kies keeps saying installing hotfix but wont install. Removed and redownloaded twice. Got link from samsung.

did you entered your S/N and Model number in cap's? that what i had to do this morning when i updated my phone to ICS, it wouldn't work with lower case letters but when i put it in capital letter it worked.
RE Kies Wrong S/N
When I enter the serial number and model, I get a screen with "Chinese?" symbols and an ok button. When I select OK, it brings me back to the enter serial number and model screen. I've reverted back to original GB radios, and still the same thing.
Any ideas?
After i downloaded kies my phone connected and finished update. Awesomeness

Came from Team Perfection ICS. Restored gingerbread flashed modem and updated through Kies. Rooted and removed all bloatware.
I'll be the first to say it...
I screwed up my phone entirely and I know. But that's neither here nor there at this point.
I'm really just hoping for some serious help at this point.
Thanks in advance.
I was stock ll4 baseband and attempted to run “one click"casual to root/unlock/recovery.
Somehow during this process my phone managed to root but failed to unlock or install custom recovery.
I made it back to home screen and checked for root status to verify.
This is where the bonehead mistakes come in
I then tried to install twrp manually thinking the bootloader possibly unlocked during casual. But it did not.
After trying to boot into recoveryi get a notification that I am running custom software and to return my device immediately to Verizon.
I can't get back to home screen either same message.
I attempted to revert to stock several times using droidstyle method and Odin keeps coming at sboot.bin.
Does anyone out there no wtf I did to my phone?
Please help. Thank you

Thanks for this.
I just PMd you. I am pretty much at a loss with where to go next. I have tried multiple restores to stock and sboot.bin continues to fail.
Thanks for your help

I've never seen that but they mention in the app to hit them up on IRC if you're able too. Give that a try and also try using LGNPST using teenybins. That may help out as well.

I would use tennybin but I'm not sure if I would be able to get into download mode since they said not to reboot because I could possibly get hard bricked. The part that failed contains download mode and if I reboot I could possibly not boot back up or get into download mode.

I actually got it fixed. Problem was I was not properly rooted and so I was not asked superuser permission. Therefore nothing actually really happened

Hi, I too have the same issue as you faced. It didnt ask for superuser permission too. So will i end up hard bricking if i rebooted? BTW my phone is Sprint LG Optimus G LS-970. Wonder why the rooting failed.
EDIT: Device was still unrooted (I thought I did the rooting properly). Thats why Freegee went haywire and threw me hardware brick prone error on rebooting.
Hi this morning i received a notification that my phone is downloading an update its the Kitkat after it finished downloading it suddenly flashed on the screen that my phone is rooted that theres no available update to a rooted device..has anyone out there experience this one? After that everytime i check for software update it just say your device have the latest software there is no available update...please help..
