it is a zip file, do I flash it through CWM?
edit, now I see its a apk file, but the phone opened it as zip.

i have this weather widget from LG, i have the apk but it wont install. The installation ended with 'application not install'. I have the file extracted but i cant figure out whats wrong..i have other weather widget be uninstall for it but its the same...

did you install the apk as a regular apk or did you move it to system/apps and rebooted.
In last case, did you set permissions right (rw-/r--/r--)?
If you post the apk i can give it a try (Arc Lt15i) if you want
I install using both method, regular and copy to system/app and set the permission to rw-r-r-...but fail also.

Upload it to some other site. You're posting the Gmail link which will only work for you.

I managed to install a widget i found on the www, but indeed it looks slightly different to what you are looking for.
i've attached my homescreen with it.
btw, it's called TodayBriefingwidget, just lemme know if you wanna try, i'll upload it.

I tried to decomplie the widget seems like it need the framework-res.apk file. So I don't think it's easy to port because it's just like our Timescale widget won't work in other devices. you could try to extract the app from a Samsung rom or use the search function , I remember there is a threat with all the apps to download.
not sure if it will work as it might as well require the Samsung framework.

if it needs the Samsung framework (which I think it does), then no, if it does not need it, then yes. You could try it yourself, download the apk, install and see if it gives a FC.

I think you have to push those apps to system folder, dont forget to give the proper permissions
calculator.apk size is only 333kb?

Dialer and contact is not working.. calculator i haven't try..for map, it should be same as the one from google play.. for clock, it works.. try clear data in setting/app

install the google now first.. i got put the link in OP.. after install it, setup it and only install launcher.. it should works..

The one pre installed on the GS5 . If so i will link you to my dropbox. I believe its 2 apk files though. You are talking about the SPlanner.apk and the SplannerWidget.apk?
I dont have time to reply later so if this is what you need I put both in a zip . Just extract it and your good to go

If that's what you want then download that zip I posted. That is the stock calendar and calendar widget.
