Galaxy's death - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My galaxy's death!
I rooted it and i played with it and adb for a few days...
After that i got some memory problem so i started to delete some applications.
Amid them i deleted samsung app and DMR app too.
I've tried to wipe it but now ive no gui and i can use it just to receive calls and sms but not to transmit.
I can not use it in download mode just recovery.
What can i do?
I dont wonna go to assistance!
Can you help me?

No having a download status access (vol down+home+start) But just the recovery mode is it possible to do something?
I was thinking to root again the system... but after that? is it enough to put the files i need in system by an unzip file of an android distribution?
Please help me!
:cyclops:

what is ur phone??

I've deleted any files about samsung and DRM.
So the mob stopped to work, that's just 'till i wape it.
Now it can receive sms and call but theres no GUI for me, no desktop no icons no menu.
I've tried to follow some tutorial to re flash my rom with odino but i cannot run it in download mode.
Ive just 2 way to access: recovery mode and usb mode.
Any solution?

u must go into download mode. to do that volume down + power + home) if this combination doesnt work, so u need a "usb jig" google it, u can make it or buy it. this usb jig force ur phone to go into download mode. once u get in download mode, u can flash firmware for ur Ace using odin.

You've the recovery right? I so just flash a custom rom from your thread and wipe all data and cache! Hopefully this should solve the problem! If not usb jig is an option! There is always "giving it to Samsung service"

Im going to try usb gig....
Tanks at all.

You may have flashed a GB boot loader. Don't worry about it. It's just the label. Your phone should be still function.

i am now downloading AIO toolbox i will try with it.i hope i can solve this problem too.i promise i will not change my rom again
If you plan to keep froyo on your phone, you can download the froyo boot loader from here --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117990 to see Samsung Vibrant logo again.
If you want GB or ICS Rom, you have to flash GB boot loader.

Need Help! SGS3 stuck at boot logo.

Hey,
I have a Samsung galaxy s3 GT-i9300 that wont boot up (it only shows the samsung logo).
Ive rebooted, removed the battery but no success. The only thing that works is download mode. It is still stock (not rooted).
I know theres some similar threads already however theyre rooted with custom roms. Any suggestions? What can I do?

If you flash a official release from sammobile it should not increase your binary count, thus leaving your warranty intact. It is when you root or flash a custom Rom your binary will increase.
Worst case you need to use triangleaway if counter increases

If anyone's interested, I had to return the phone under warranty where they replaced the main PBA.
The combination to get to recovery is this (for future reference)
Vol-up + home + power button. Once galaxy s 3 logo pops up quickly let go of the power button and hold in again then let all three go once in recovery.

You guy´s soft bricked your phones thats why u dont get any where re-flashing, but heres something worth trying without risking anything!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
JUST GET YOUR SAMMY STOCK ROM FIRST FROM THEIR SITE
Use this Odin version >android.gs/download-odin-1-85/.
Above the country code and you can know the three-letter code which applies to your country. Now look for the date of release and select an appropriate update release for your phone.
Step-4 Rebooting
Reboot by holding Home, Volume Down and Power buttons. Remember you need to hold the Volume Down button and not the Volume Up button as in the first step. You will get into the download mode. So, you phone is now ready to get the firmware via USB.
The phone will flash a warning about the dangers involved. You should not worry as you are putting the firmware back on the phone.
On the computer, now unzip the Samsung firmware folder you downloaded from the official website. Now extract the .md5 file.
Now open Odin, select.md5 file in the 'PDA' section of Odin.
Make sure that Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time is ticked.
Connect your Galaxy S3 to your computer via the USB lead. Odin will automatically detect the phone and a pop-up message will show. Now start the process of transferring the file.
Step-5
Wait for the file to download. Odin will show 'PASS!' in the box once the transfer is successful. And the phone will then, reboot.
If it hangs on the Samsung logo, don't worry reboot into the recovery mode by holding down Home, Volume Up and Power buttons. Wipe the data/factory reset and reboot.
This will in all chances bring your phone to a functioning mode. Sign in and start working.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The extent of you phone being bricked may vary, but the symptoms are often the same -- a reboot loop, switching itself off after the Samsung logo or never getting into the operating system. As long as you can get into the recovery mode, there is hope to recover the Samsung Galaxy S3,
no success
Hi guys,
your solutions are great but in my case it didnt help at all.
My phone still stucks at logo. Only download mode is possible, but odin wanted a pit file always when i tried to download the sammy firmware rom. After all i even downloaded the pit file GT-I9300_mx_20120329.pit. But even with the pitfile and Re-Partitioning it didnt function at all.
My SGS3 T-Mobile can not start at all.
PLEASE HELP ME, i am helpless.

Install Kies and across the top, find the tools bar and it will bring a dropdown menu, just select emergency firmware recovery or something like that. Alternatively you can boot into download mode and flash the firmware via odin. If you don't know what that is, stick with the kies method

Congratulations, it's a brick!
Take the phone to a service center, let them try to JTAG it. It it won't work, they'd have to replace the main board.

Dude had the same issue on my galaxy S2 and resolved it. You dont need the backup. I downloaded the
The .pit file for my gt-i9100g (http://data.hu/get/4697903/omap4_all_20110627_emmc.pit)
The stock ROM from sammobile. (http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=13292)
The JB Bootloader. (I downloaded the stock by Ryuinferno)
The stock JB kernel.
Opened odin v1.85.
Then i used the vol down+home+lock keys together to try to open the download mode ( but ended up in the "Firmware error " page) and connected phone to the pc. It shows "Added!" in the message box.
Repartition with the .pit and it will reboot.
Disconnect
Get into download mode and install the bootloader and it should reboot when done. Disconnect.
Get into download mode and connect
Installed the kernel through odin and reboot
Download mode again and install the ROM through odin.
If the phone gets stuck in boot loop (samsung logo over and over),
get into recovery mode ( for s2, vol up+home+lock, it needs to be pressed intermittently)
Then do a full format along with wipe cache.
And then the phone finally booted completely. . Good Luck.
Note: I'm not sure to boot into recovery and download are the same key combos as it was for the i9100g.
tried but i died

Galaxy S3 Stuck at Boot Screen (Samsung Logo)

Good day gentlemen,
It seems that my S3 would not start/boot up as it only shows the Samsung Galaxy SIII logo and keeps restarting itself. I rooted it before and it worked but the issue was that when I tried to flash a ROM it apparently failed and then the above happened. Any helps would be highly appreciated. Also I'd like to note that I am able to access Download Mode.

[Q] Bricked my Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830i)

Hello,
I tried to reinstall a custom rom but I forgot to install it with CWM so it was installed with the default Android recovery. After the ZIP was installed I rebooted my phone but now it doesn't get any further than the Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i logo. I tried to boot in recovery and download mode but both of them doesn't work. I hope some of you can help me. I bricked my phone before but then I could get into download mode but now I don't.
Thanks a lot

Try the following guide to see if you can force open Download Mode through odin mode. Here is the link,
How to unbrick Samsung Galaxy Ace
This guide was meant for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 and hence the Download Mode key combination is different. So make sure the change the Download Mode key combination to your own device. If you can force open the Download Mode this way, then you can try installing the stock rom. Do post the result. Hope I Helped

Thanks for your help but it didn't work for me. My pc can't find the phone. And I installed the drivers several times. I also tried a program to force my phone into download mode but the program also doesn't recognize the phone.

As you can't enter the Recovery Mode and Download Mode, you have pretty much hard-bricked your phone. Since the above method didn't work, then you can try the USB Jig (not always guaranteed to work). If USB Jig did work, then it will force open the Download Mode so you can flash stock rom back using odin. If USB Jig doesn't work either, then your last option is to consult the Service Center. Do post the result. Hope I Helped

Thanks a lot! I can get my phone in download-mode now by pressing volume up and down plus the lock key. Normally it's lock key plus home button plus the volume down key but that didn't work but this did!! I can't say how much I should thank you! You saved my life.
THANKS
