Is there an app that will allow you to schedule when to kill a constant running app? Words with friends used to allow you to turn off the notifications but its no longer an option. I have heard on the Razr Max you can schedule when to kill an app after a certain set time. Any options? Thanks!
Android will do it automatically. If it's not creating a wake lock the it's not hurting anything. Apps like those burn up the battery more than they help. The task killer built into android will kill it once it needs the extra memory.

That's the reason I'm looking for something to stop it. I knew the phone will take care of it when it needs to but its more for my battery then anything else.

Try advanced task killer. You can set it up to kill at scheduled intervals.

1)Does someone here knows what's the standard limit for background process in our s3?????
2)And does swiping them from recent apps really kills the app or it just remove them from the recent apps list???????

1) i dont think there is any standard.. your android kills apps as soon as your ram fills up
2)no..it doesnt kill..it just removes it from the recent list

Hi,
For the first question, what do you mean exactly? About Low Memory Killer?
For your second question: http://stackroulette.com/android/19...-you-swipe-an-app-out-of-the-recent-apps-list with some explanations from Dianne Hackborn (Android Framework Engineer), some parts are very interesting.

Click to collapse
Finally, some evidence!
I'm sick of people saying it doesn't close apps, all you have to do to test it yourself is open a few apps, open task manager, look at used ram, open recent menu and swipe everything away and check ram again.
Thanks viking37!

Does anybody know, if there is a task killer that can work in the background, but not be shown in the satus bar. I hate apps that are in my status bar all the time, even if im not using them... Thanks...
Advanced Task Manager
You can hide status bar icon by going in to the detting of the map.

Only know a little about background applications and how things run in the foreground. I'm wanting to keep my copilot active when on a phonecall or dictating a text as I drive. I was thinking there could be a tasker configuration that may achieve this

Hey, i would love to have running apps and slide left/right to kill them, rather than recent apps build up there, any way of doing that?
