Hi
How do I make screenshots with this HTC?
Vol- and power don't work.
Thanks

Works for me, hold it for some time.
There two ways. Power and Vol - holding simultaneously for some time or push power and tap on home key

It works. But there is an error: impossible to save screen
Why??
Thanks

Hey...The second method is pretty slick and easier in my opinion.
It works with the 2th method but with the first there is that error...

I just tested both methods once again. Check if your SD card is properly inserted/working.
Maybe you don't have a micro sd card inserted and your camera settings are set to 'save pictures to sd'?

Thanks to all.. camera saved all photos in phone memory and I changed to sd and now work both methods!
Solved!!

It's quite different, camera shots are saved to DCIM folder while screenshots are saved to Pictures folder. Try to create pictures folder on sd and see if it works.
And check in settings/storage/app storage location settings what is set for camera.

Nope screenshots on my DX are being saved to DCIM folder, not in Pictures folder. Maybe because I chose sd for storing pictures after I took the first picture. Anyway it works for TS-er.

It's the same what I did but it made a folder Screenshots inside Pictures folder not in DCIM. Anyway, it works, and that's the only thing it matters.

How are you enabling this feature? I enabled mine through the browser, but holding power and home does nothing for me.

I dont know what you mean by enabling it... When i first loaded my ROM i halfpressed the power key and hit home it made the sound, said it was taken but i cannot find it. I see them under my DCIM folder but they are 0bytes and when i try to view them i get a triangle with an exclamation paint through it

When I take a screenshot the image appears under Gallery > Camera shots.
I'm not rooted. All I have to do is hold the power button down and then quickly press the Home button.

S-Voice is available as a separate download here, but Samsung's cloud compute server is very picky about who it responds to. The general theory going around is that is only listens to Samsung devices, but you're welcome to try.

heres what i got from AP in the comments section
Guys, for S-Voice to work, you have to place the apk into System/App, use Root Explorer to only check the read permissions, and the top write permission. Reboot your phone, then (THIS IS IMPORTANT TO END FORCE CLOSING) go to the apk within System/App and tap it then install it like a normal app to end the force closing.

I can confirm this is working for me. Copy, pasted into system/app set permissions with solid explorer rw/r/r

unless you are running a rom that supports the menu popping feature than you are out of luck because the S3 has this button so thats why it works like that

Why don't you try what I did just re download the .apk then from where ever your downloads go copy and then paste it into system/app then, afterwards long press the app while still in system/app set permissions to
Rw
R
R
Reboot to get everything sticky
Should work seeing as it is what I did, another thing I'm running a deodexed Rom so that might be your problem.

Switching from H to 4g icons is an easy mod. Every Rom has the 4g icon PNG in them inside systemui.apk. All you have to do is rename them. I been running 4g and 2g icons since I flashed the Rom. If you give me about an hour I can upload the icons I already have renamed.

Install Instructions:
1: download files from link below and unzip it
2: open root explorer and go to system/app(make sure to press on r/w on the top corner)
3: find systemui.apk, long press it and extract it.
4: find the 4g and 2g icons you downloaded from link. They should be in scard/speedsoftware/zip. Multiselect and copy all the pngs.
5: go to speedsoftware/extracted/systemui/res/draweble-hdpi and paste. A message will pop up. Just replace all.
6: once you paste the pngs, back out till you see systemui, long press it and zip the folder. Once it's done it'll ask you if you want to go to the zip folder or stay. Press on zip folder.
7: you will then see the systemui.zip. Long press it and rename to systemui.apk. Once it's renamed long press and copy it.
8: go back to system and paste the new systemui.apk. Long press on it and change permissions to rw-r-r-. Then long press it and move to app and replace.
Reboot and your done. It seems like a lot to do in writing but it really isnt. Is very easy to do.

faster r/w access to the sd meaning cached data that apps use and any resources they might be accesing will be accelerated. A good place to see the effect first hand is in your gallery. Go to 124 or whatever the default is then scroll through your gallery and see the time it takes pics to load, then change to 1024 and save settings and go back to gallery... images load MUCH faster now... the same will be trueto some degree for just about every app because our virtual sd is our only sd meaning resources and behind the curtain magic is on the sd make sense?
You guys are talking about the Read Ahead Buffer size. I keep mine at 1024, but you can try higher values if you have a bunch of stuff on your sd card that you frequently access such as music, pics, and vids.
