Hello and Happy New Year, does any one know of any new or Active Roms for the TPRIME TF201. TEAM EOS has stopped development of the TPRIME nightlie, appreciate any infomation posted thank you
NRGZ28 and AndroWook seem to be the primary active ones at this point. I'm using NRGZ', which he updated on 12/22. he bought craigacgomez' tf201 recently, and has been pretty active. it's a real nice rom! he and Wook have had some friendly banter/competition, so AndroWook has been updating recently, as well.
Flagged for a mod to move thread. Does not belong in dev! Discussion goes in discussion.

But as per the thread, I'd say not much is happening here. I gotta say that as a Nexus One owner, back in the day the forums were constantly active, and I'm a little underwhelmed here... Either way, I'm on AndroWook 1.51 waiting for official CM 10.1 or official AOKP based on 4.2 (waiting for NTFS write support!)
I APPRECIATE all the respondents, I didnt know that I should not have posted in this particlar forum, that said please inform me when and where its moved to and thank you again i will look up this information about ANDROWOOK

Hi to all.
What do you think about separate Android roms from WM ???
Is it possible to make a new thread in HD2 section sticked for always ?
Everyone could have this what he need .
Anyone think it's a goog idea ?
For example :
HD2 ANDROID ROM Development ?
Well the real problem right now is that there is no true Android ROM. Yes you can run Android but till it's flashed to the actual phone like you would with a WinMo ROM it's not a ROM.
then name it just "HD2 ANDROID Development"
it would be great if there is an own android section
i agree! all Android Dev together
Yeah set it up like they have in the rhodium forum.
enough threads already exist full of spammers...one more?
why not call it "spam here if u want for hd2 android development"
I think it would work out great having another spot for Android. Soon most people will be running Android on the HD2 anyway. Makes sense
+1
this ended up being a huge help for the development on the TouchPro2 (Rhodium). Someone got mods to create a new forum and then they took the liberty of re-organizing all the builds and kept up with the development and its still running nice and neat.
I think this would be a great idea for the HD2, it is about as far along as it can get now and is already attracting more attention. No need to clutter up the WinMo ROM development forums
+1 Also
This made the HD1 forum better with a separate sub-forum for Android.
What I also think would be a good idea in ALL the forums really is a dedicated ROM release forum where ONLY roms can be posted and no general questons etc. That way you could cycle through the rom list without it been swamped with lots of other posts.
i agree, a subforum dedicated to this imortant issue (android on HD2) would be very useful for the general order of the forum according to me.
the android builds are beeing created and updated everyday (thanks to all the developers) but only two 3ds (in different subforums!) exist...
I found finding info about Andorid confusing so please separate in another forum.
+1 I love this idea.
i sign this good idea +1
+1 For a new subforum for HD2 Android development.
+1 its really necessary

+1 on both ideas !
+1 from me too never got into android for the tp2 but now i have got bored of win mo on hd2 i am enjoying playind with android
+1 here too. It would make life so much easier (and would get rid of people asking for it )
I dunno. There are only really a couple of threads that are relevant, and you can keep up to date with progress on the irc channel.
I seem to be keeping up ok by READING and SEARCHING.
+1 from me, it would make keeping track of things easier, assuming people read what's there instead of posting crap!
I can understand the hype about the next generation of our beloved Transformer, but this is still Asus Transformer forum, not Transformer Prime forum!
There is nothing bad in discussing Prime, but I 've counted 10 threads about it only in GENERAL. This is TOO MUCH. Please post in the existing threads or create a master thread.
Some of us will stick to the original Transformer and will not replace it soon.

It would be nice if administration could clarify if there will be a prime specific forum or if this will be the forum for both.
And at best directly add such a second forum.

Previously XDA has split forums once a product ships, not on announcement. An example is the B&N Nook Color and Nook Tablet. The NT forum did not appear until right before the product shipped.

Galaxy Nexus forum was up at announcement. Then again it's a Nexus.
I have to agree with the OP. I'm as excited for the Prime as the next guy, but it would be nice if the forum could go back to actually being about the TF101. It's hard to find info on the 101 with the flood of redundant threads about the Prime. If nothing else, can the threads be consolidated at least?

Well, I agree and disagree. This forum should be about the original transformer. XDA should have opened up a Prime forum when it was officially announced back on the 9th. Until then, this is the only place for people to talk about the Prime. I think if it becomes a real issue, push XDA to create the Prime forum.
If you don't want to read it, the topics are clearly defined, then don't. Until there is a separate forum ignore those topics clearly about prime.

I think it would be a real problem if there was any significant traffic on the Transformer forum. There really isn't. Since there is no other place to post about it I agree this is the next logical step. And actually when I first tried to pre order from Amazon it wasn't available and then read in one of the threads that it was back up so it actually helped me out at the time.
Don't get me wrong. I am not saying we should not post anything about Prime. The forum is flooded with threads like: "OMG Prime is awesome", "Is it worth it?", "Should I wait", dozens of threads about the expected release day. Also if someone finds a video with Prime on it he feels obliged to make a thread about it.
I am just saying that 80% of the threads about Prime are not useful.
It is not just a revision of the original Transformer. Transformer Prime is a new device in every way except the concept of Android tablet + keyboard dock. It certainly needs its own forum.
Till the new forum is created just skip the threads you don't want to read... Problem solved
Why not add a 6th category Asus Eee Pad Transformer PRIME to the forum's main page for the time being, or am I missing some point? Problem solved.

Because it is an entirely separate device will its core components being completely different, for the most part.

I know. The more reason these Prime threads should not mix up with the existing ones about the TF101. That's why I added "for the time being", adding a category as workaround if XDA doesn't want to create a separate forum.
How about waiting for it to be released first? That is usually when new forums are created. Until then, the predecessor forums always have successor posts co-mingled, in XDA forum history.
The new forum is now active, and this thread is in it. I am closing this as it's been resolved.
Hi everyone,
I am a galaxy fit s5670 user, running android 2.3.4
Unfortunately, samsung won't be officially releasing ics for my device...
But the whole of galaxy fit users on xda are really hoping that some devs would try and port this for our device...we had personally contacted a lot of devs for this, but none seem to be up for the challenge...
Another phone, samsung galaxy min s5570, which comes really close to our device in terms of hardware has devs attempting it, but the few devs we have for our device are busy due to their own reasons...
So, I want to ask all the knowledgeable devs out there, can you PLEASE port this for our device???
You will also find many testers for your alpha and beta version of the rom, who would readily take the risk, and give you feedback/bug reports also...
Also, even if you can just port some other roms, that would also be appreciated...
Head on over to the device forum and make an announcement, if you are willing to attempt this poet!!!
Help in making android an enjoyable experience for all...merry christmas, in advance

Sorry didn't know about that...thought that it should come under software development coz we needed devs...so thank you for moving it to the correct sub-forum...
Umm, on a different note, are you a dev???
And, ppl have started trying to port ics to my device...but still others are encouraged to make/port roms for this device...
m with you
Just look at the overwhelming positive response that this thread has received so far...

I figured this would be something to do with development since it had to with ubuntu and something working or not...

NOTICE: If You did not create the ROM, KERNEL, FIX, MOD, APP, HACK, GUIDE, or if it's not a SOURCE CODE then it should go to Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime General as it doesn't belong in Development.
If your thread can be phrased as a question, it DEFINITELY doesn't belong in Development either. If you post it in Development it will be moved/closed and you may get an infraction or a ban.
There is only 1 exception, stock ROMs are allowed, as long as the link does not require a registration to download the ROM.
You may start planning a [DEV] topic on General or QA and then have it moved to the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime Android Development section once the actual Development has started.
☞ Development is classified as original work and/or documented edits and changes made to others work (with their permission) that makes it your own.
Stock ROM dumps that are modified (deodexed, etc.) from the manufacturer's original intent and then repackaged together classifies as development.
Kernel's and Recovery obviously classify as development as they are modified and compiled from source
☞ Themes are graphical/visual changes made to a ROM which make's the ROM visually different from the original work, i.e. different battery icons, a blue-color scheme, etc. They may be packaged up together with a full ROM and deployed the same way. Simply running a script (not made by you) to deodex and then packaging other people's work/MOD's into one place does not constitute original development.

This is a question that has to do with development of ubuntu working on The prime tablet why I posted it here. Sorry I was informed that this is where I would post it. I did read the forum rules. Thought this was the best place for my thread.

That is actually the important point here. If you are asking a question you ALWAYS need to post in the Q&A forum or at least in the General forum.
Questions are absolutely not wanted here!
And welcome to the forums
6 follow posts (and now 7) and when I simply used the "report" triangle when I saw this post ... sigh.

I did, even before anyone answered
X86 binaries are not even compatible with ARM, so give or take WINE on ARM, this seems a tad brain farted a thread tbh.

you can play DC universe using splash-top its the only way I know of
Hi. As you can see, ROM developers here don`t really pay attention to making any custom ROMs for our beloved A310, A510 and A710-s. So i have made a request on Cyanogenmod Forums for any developers there to see and work on the project! It`d be nice if you showed yourselves there too so the developers don`t think A-2016 series phones aren`t mainstream and aren`t worth working on. Here is the request thread link, so go there, reply or something, just show yourselves!

Maybe that old fight regarding Exynos processors is the main problem here. IDK for sure. Check it out here, XDA team made a post about this "betrayal" between Samsung and the developers.
Regardless, I'm still looking forward into that CM13 thread on the original development forums. However, the OP is not answering the PMs or the thread, so it's kinda useless by now.
Can't we make a Custom from ourselves maybe work with a good developer here on XDA and use our devices for testing
