Juice Defender & Battery Defeder whitelist feature not working - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

I've recently updated my Neo v with Ultimate XD ROM and the ROM is very smooth and I don't have any issues with it. I have Juice defender plus installed in which I've configured few apps so that the network will not get disabled when these apps are running. Past 2 days I don't see it working and even when the application is running and when I lock my screen the network is disabled which was not the case 2 days back. I haven't changed any configuration till now and not sure why it started behaving like this.
I tried Battery Defender and added those application to the white list and even the Battery Defender couldn't sense the status of the application and it always disabled the network even the running application is added in white list.
Someone let me know what went wrong in my system....

Guys no clue?

My Suggestion for u is to uninstall both the Juice Defender and Battery Defender..
Dey consume more RAM and drains ur battery.. so dont go for such kind of apps..
Hit "THANKS" if i helped you..

Do you think that disabling the data connection when not in use will drain more battery?
Sent from my MT11i using xda app-developers app

U see there are many such apps out there.. as far as my experience, i say these battery saving apps dont work.. the particular application u are running or your kernel will eat the amount of battery they need to work.. u use whatever, it wont stop them from using your battery.. if you are on custom kernel try undervolting.. if you are soo much concerned with your battery drainage.. but keep in mind.. its risky to play with OC n UV.. dont blame me later if u spoil it
Hit thanks if it helped..

Yeah you're right man ! Just do it manually ! Those apps just auto do it for us ! But we can do it manually by ourselves without wasting our free ram

No,just calibre one time for all
how can i stop the running applications? because when i holding the home button there is no task manager and after i connect my phone to the internet it runs slowly , how can i stop and how can i view the running apps? is there any application for that?
wanna know why ur battery doesnt last long? cause ur killing apps.. android does that by itself and very efficient u dont need to interfere. DONT use task killer u dont need it and it causes instability and drains battery life even more..cause all the things u kill and android needs to run will be recreated by android ..so in the end u won nothing
And u can find Stock ROMs here
And btw. Battery Calibration just replaces the existing system file of ur battery, so it doesnt do anything directly to ur battery. But because it is important to do that everytime u flashed u should do it..once not more cause it wouldnt make sense as it justs creates a new file.
i hope it doesn't.

Hey Mr.Tom please don't close this thread.
I think it will be helpful to users seeking good Battery backup giving ROMS(Atleast then the users(mostly newbies and noobs) won't make new threads like 'Which is good battery life giving ROM' or 'Suggest me some good battery backup giving ROMs')
However at any instance of time,if you feel that this thread is going out of control, then you can close this thread immediately
I thought there was already a thread for this.

Battery threads like these always misleads people since people are trying to brag about their max up-time. It would be better if people included information as setting, rom and daily usage.
On track: My phone usually last around +/-15hours. Data off usually when I don't use it, with below average internet usage, only checking up stuff now and then.
Listen to a lot of music and usually below 100 texts a day. A few calls now and then as well.
I'm using Apocalypse (final) and setCPU(max 844MHz) to enchant it with profiles

What matters the most is screen on time, screen brightness and connection type (2g/3g/wifi/airplane-mode, data on/off). Talk-time matters IF you talk much. Screen and internet on 3g are eating most of your battery.
But in the end everything matters and none of the results are really comparable. So if someone's battery last a little longer then yours, you just don't worry about it. Tomorrow yours might last longer.
Usually 12-14 hours when I am at home (using wifi, using no mobile data, 40% brightness). Usually 6 hours when I am outside (using mobile data, 100% brigthness, sometimes GPS). I have a special pouch for my phone, with pockets for another two batteries. When I am going outside, I have two fully charged batteries with me. 8^) So I can kill green piggies for hours with no fear of no energy. 8^)

[Q] Tricks for longer battery life?

Hi All,
Coming from a iPhone4, I noticed that even overnight when the phone is in standby the % drop in the battery is greater on the SGS3.
I am currently running the Omega V25 ROM and the battery drain when in standby is about 10-13% over 7hrs in standby whilst I am sleeping. I read a few days back on the Omega forum (cannot find it again) one of the users saying how great the battery life was for them...something like 1% drop over a few hours in standby....do you know if there is some trick to get such good performance?
I have used good programs like Juice Defender which brings it back to on par with the iPhone4, but does get a bit annoying sometimes waiting for the network connections to restart. Sometimes it even refuses to restart the network which is VERY annoying. I was wondering if there was something I am missing that can get great battery life (IN STANDBY) without 3 party programs like Juice Defender etc....
Thanks,
Ray

Go offline on Gtalk, Turn off Wifi/mobile data while not in use. Other thing I do is Download CPUspy on Google Play to verify the Cpu Usage.
With power saving mode enabled I loose only 1-2% of battery juice over night. (Mobile data disabled, gsm only mode).
i9.0.1.3k galaxy imperator
First thing you do is turn off the WIFI or 3G(Mobile data) if you are not using it.

What siyah did you flash? You must flash the kernel for jb leak which is 1.6 and not 1.5.3 because it is for ICS rom. Did you perform wipe cache / wipe dalvik cache?

Hi!
I gotta advise you that juicedefender/other battery defending apps hurt more than it should actually help. Think of it this way, juicedefender is also an app. App=RAM consumption, High RAM consumption=High battery consumption.
Also, flashing a custom kernel can help out. There are tweaks which you can do with custom kernels.
E.G. *Undervolting [if you are a total noob on this, then you might read thoroughly how to do this]
You can have manual settings to low screen brightness, not go to vibrate mode, led notif off, etc. And more importantly, CLOSE APPS THAT RUN IN BACKGROUND Such as: Facebook
You can never really rely that let's say, Person1 is having awesome battery life with KernelX because it depends mainly on your SETTINGS and STANDARD USAGE
I hope this will help you out

Well, I think it happened cause I put 1.5.2 siyah which located at Omega Kitchen...So I need to find siyah 1.6? then go Recovery > wipe cache > wipe dalvik cache? Is that so??

That's the reason why. Yes you can try that. Try to wipe cache and dalvik cache before flashing siyah 1.6. If it does not help then the only option you can make is to full wipe and flash again the rom

Here are some tips:
1. Put wi-fi policy to never. It's in wi-fi settings.
2. Disable unnecessary sync (FB, google, email etc)
3. Install custom kernel, like others said.
4. Install better battery stats and find what's causing your phone awake (wake locks)

Whether Juice defender helps or not depends on your usage scenario and the app configuration (it literally has tons of options)
High ram usage equalling high battery coumption is bollocks. Each and every single operating system out there will try to fill the whole ram because it actually SAVES power and makes the device FASTER.

[XU JB] Experiencing some battery drain

Hey
I'm using DevSwifts JB Rom and since v2 i'm experiencing some battery drain. Lost about 15% in 1,5 hrs and i wasnt even using my phone. (WiFi was on)
I installed better battery stats, and as i can see, kworkers are keeping my phone busy. (see attachments below).
Im using interactive + deadline and since no one is complaining about battery drain in DevSwifts thread, i assume that i'm the only one.
So, are there any solutions, to solve that problem?

hi
me i m using OndemandX or HotplugX and sio or row for battery its better; and i don t know how many governors you have
..but because u have, like xperia p double core cpu, u should use a governor with an X wich is cutting down one core when screen is off, then maybe a task killer set up to half an hour like i did should be good too...
my battery last me a day an half with some wifi and data traffic a bit of calling and gaming...
hope it helped

Well I saw tht your WiFi was On almost continuously... Turn it off when you dont need it... WiFi is one of the main reason for battery drain... And if you can't do it manually then install some battery saving app like juice defender wich will turn off WiFi when not in use...
My phone runs almost 1 day with moderate use of WiFi, tht is turning on only when needed else off... If I keep it on always my phone runs out of battery within 8-10 hrs.

No matter if your phone is in deep sleep or not... If your WiFi is on even in deep sleep it will still drain the battery... So try with WiFi off 1st..
N the thing with battery stats after restarting thing...
Download battery calibration from play store n calibrate it when you r charged 100% that will hopefully solve the stats problem... But battery calibrator needs root.

Battery calibration is not needed, it wont do anything - everytime you charge your phone and unplug it android system makes new battery stats.
WiFi is may be drainig cause look at the blue line after WiFi - it doesn let the phone fully sleeps. So try turning it off (android percentage is very high too, may because of WiFi)

Well that happened coz before there were some apps running in the background so it gave you backup of 16hrs but after the reboot those apps were killed n maybe you didn't open those certain apps after reboot and thts how u got more backup...
So do one thing, download 'auto memory manger ' from play store, its red color icon with tools On it... It kills all the unnecessary apps running in the background draining your battery... From the screenshots, I noticed that your cell phone wasn't receiving signals throughout the deep sleep mode. If the phone isn't receiving signals, or is receiving low signals (1 bar), the phone automatically puts more battery juice into the radio transceiver to catch better reception.
Its possible that your phone has been expending its battery throughout the night to catch better reception - try putting it in a better place with more reception during the night, or in Airplane mode in case reception during the night isn't vital/important for you.

Omg... I didn't expect that.. It worked fine for me when I used it in past...
So now possibly there is only one solution... But it needs root..

Okay good to hear that its rooted...
Follow this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2226899 and try it.. Its a script thing but it really works...
This what m using now and its making my battery last much longer... The only difference is that I am using power JB Rom which already includes this, so I didn't have to do it by my self as it was included in the Rom.
