I have been using sbeam a lot and I think it is great, but is there a way to send actual files such as from root explorer?

Here's a similar thread from Q&A: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35951791
Seems as though you can only send files with Wi-Fi direct.

I'm sure it has been brought up or asked. But we are a combined forum now. A bigger think tank. Anybody know what it would take to remove the carriers ability to throttle us?
Thoughts?
Comments?
Questions?

I believe there is no way, at least there wasn't on GS2 that I recall

When I look through root exporter I see a throttle file under data system throttle. Any ideas?

this has not been possible for the past few generations of Galaxy phones. The files are pushed from t-mobile servers now, so they can't be modded or deleted.
Get a good wifi linking app and utilize as much open wifi as you can and don't waist bandwidth uploading or downloading massive amounts of data when off of wifi when possible.
I've been looking for weeks now asked every forum I know and no one can seem to help me? All I want is to know how I can get the stock hotspot app to work on my Verizon gs3! Most likely using the sqlite editor app. Please help me out I'm losing hope!

What do you mean stock hotspot app? Doesnt verizon come with its own?
Yes but there is a way to remove the entitlement check so I can use it with out paying more dang money to Verizon

What's wrong with rooting (it's simple enough on SG3) and then using an app like Wifi tether?
Foxfi works well no root and it's free in the market

1) Rooting i not for everyone...
2) They may be like me and waiting for the bugs to be irons out. (Maybe its perfect but I am personally in no rush.)
I do think there are some apps on the play store that allow you to tether without the standard carrier one correct? I thought I was reading that some where...Again I could be wrong! (They may only work VIA USB though.)
get widgetoids from app store and create a hot spot shortcut. It will turn on the stock app without having to pay.

Those apps didn't work

I have used wifi direct a few times lately it just says waiting to send files. I have only used this feature at work where my mobile data signal is not very good. My question is does WiFi direct need to use mobile data?

Simple answer is no.

So I'm new to the Note 2 and when I'm at work I am connected to their wifi because my cell sign lapis horrible when I'm there. But when I get off, I seem to get all my push notifications all at once like they were waiting for me to get off wifi. Anyone know the reasoning behind this?

Maybe your phone is just using the WiFi connection without actually trying to use VZWs service because its so crappy.
If you're unlocked and have flashed a ROM then it could definitely be a ROM issue.

I'm currently running stock but plan on rooting tonight. My signal is really bad in the office so that may be the issue.

I had a nice dock screen that would pop up When I would Connect my IBOLT but since I have rooted it is gone. Anyone know how to get it back?
Thanks

How do you like that ibolt? Thinking of getting one. Root alone should not have broken anything. Did you delete any files ?

I love the ibolt. Best car dock out there. I have tried a bunch.
Haven't deleted any files. Just rooted. Stock rom and recovery.
