Tap to skip... - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Right here's my scenario.
I use my phone as my music player for in car... Its connected via basic earphones Jack connection.
What I want to know is?
There any music player where I can just tap the device, whilst screen is locked to skip track. Maybe like one tap for next track and two taps for previous. Its just a pain to unlock then find music player just to skip track..

If your running CM like your signature suggest, there are lock screen music controls built in, via the volume rockers. Press and hold the volume keys to switch tracks, up is next down is previous.

Another problem for me, as my car Mount makes it difficult to get to these whilst driving

You can buy an app called wave control from the app store. and set your swipe forward to change song and swipe backwards for back and previous song..

In this video it doesn't show you that you can use it while the screen is off but i have it and it works while screen is off. Before you start driving just open the app start your music. Then lock your screen then you can use the hand gesture you set to change, go back and pause the music..
Just buy the app man it is totally worth the money..

Shuffle play in Miui music player

Is there a way to disable the shuffle play feature in the Miui music player?
Thank you.

I know it is a bit of an inconvenience, but the only way I have found is to long press the back button and it will close the app and then you can restart the music app. I have tried hitting the shuffle play button for a second time and have been unsuccessful at getting this to work. Just my way that I have found.
When its playing a song hit the shuffle icon, it will change to two straight lines instead of crossed lines, and say "shuffle off".

[Q] How do you get back to the library in the stock music app?

If you start the music player you'll have a listing of your library based on artists, albums, music square, etc.
As soon as you start playing music the only way I've found to get back to that screen is to tap on the music square icon (which then takes you to the music square tab in the library view). However, if you disable the music square in the settings this button disappears and I haven't found a way yet to get back to the library screen except for enabling the square again...
That's somehow really weird or am I missing something?
Try the button in the bottom right corner

That button takes me to the current playlist, not the media library. Pushing the top right 'back' button takes me back to the player and not to the media library as I would expect.

are you playing the music thru the music widget? if yes, you will need to go into music player by go thru your app drawer. then press the back button until you get the 'all' playlist which allow you to choose sort by artist or album ...

P769 Music Player Volume Controls.

Is it possible to control(next track, previous track) the default music player with the volume buttons?
Can it be done using a different music player such as the walkman app in conjunction with holo locker?

I've used playerpro before but I've always had issues with it due to the fact that you can't lock playlist, so when ever i scroll through one i end up moving songs around.
I know the L9 has LG's custom lock screen and that the walkman music player wouldn't work with it nor can the volume buttons be used for playback controls but I'm not sure if using a different lock screen such as holo locker (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobint.locker&hl=en) will cause it to change.
a link to the walkman app

[Q] Lock screen issues with music apps

I am having a problem where a majority of the time when I am on my lock screen it does not give me the option to change the track on whatever music app I am using. This was one of my favorite features of KitKat where I was introduced to the album art on the lock screen and given the option to change the track. Now about 75% of the time I have to fully unlock my phone to access my Spotify music app on the home screen. Can anyone resolve this issue for me?
Try removing the smart button app for the original headphones button. It worked for me.

You go to setting, second screen, tap on show when main screen on, all option is there for you to set, but I want the player control if the screen is off, seems like it's not available.
Yep, same issue with the v30 & 20. Unfortunately LG wants the crap stock player to have center stage with its core software. Not much can be done without a root. And even then, I'm not sure
