I've had my razr maxx hd since black Friday. I've used Google calendar without much trouble up until last week. Last week I noticed that the little icon did not show up in the pull down bar even though I had a notification there when pulled down.
To fix this issue I tried disabling the default calendar on the device. Upon doing this, my icon switched from the standard Google calendar icon to the default moto icon. I'm not a huge fan of the icon and when there is an event going on it always has a little bell on the icon which is very irritating. Is there a way to get the standard Google calendar icon back?
I have a standard razr maxx hd, not rooted and not looking to root. I attached a screen shot with the OS and kernel.
Thanks for your help.
This is what the icon and ribbon appears as even after dismissing the notification

Awesome phone. I really do love it. Coming from the HTC Droid Incredible OG, however, there are some differences in how Sense works. (Keep an open mind, and know that I LIKED Sense 1.0 from that phone) Specifically, I REALLY miss the notification bubbles of the past. Now? Yes, they're there, but just like every other manufacturer, they don't stick around. If I have an email, my phone dings and vibrates and blinks. Great. I wake it up and lo, I see the notification bubble on the mail icon. Great. Then I tap the email app, and see that I have an unread email. Great! Then I tap the back button to go back to the home screen. That's where things break down. The mail icon no longer shows a notification bubble. I have lost the persistent ability to see how many unread emails/sms/facebook/whatever items unless I go back into the app in question.
Anyone familiar with other Android handset manufacturers will be right at home with this. I, however, am used to Sense 1.0 and the persistent bubble.
Does anyone know how to get this back, or if that's even possible? THANKS FOR LISTENING, CHILDREN!
Hi,
I am fairly new to Android 4.1, I once had a 2.3 device with HTC sense and thought it was horrible. I changed to WP 7.5 which I love, but somehow got bored with it. Now playing with my Gnex, I notice that it's quite cumbersome to get to the clock alarm settings? I would either have to use a widget or put the clock icon on a homescreen. I think it would be great if the pull-down menu had a shortcut to the alarm settings, by tapping on the time/date at the top. Would also be great if the same thing with different function would be implemented for the battery icon, showing a percentage... currently I use a third party app to show % in the taskbar up top. (even Symbian can do this).
Does google have a site for feature suggestions like this?
Does anyone which version of dolphin browser has an address bar that automatically hides/shows but also hides the phones status bar? i swear i used to have it but can no longer find it. Dolphin Browser beta still shows the phone status bar with this feature enabled, and when you switch to full screen mode it no longer automatically show the address bar. Thanks

What's your current version? I don't remember the status bar, but some time ago Dolphin was auto-hiding the address bar, and now it doesnt. Didn't exactly catch when it dissappear, but just a week ago I upgraded to JB 4.1.2 from ICS. Maybe it's related? Because I've just tried most of available old versions of Dolphin, and neither of them has it. Though I could swear that some version from early autumn (this is when I started using it) definitely had the autohide feature.
I cant work this out.
I have three phones in front of me, only one will do it! (SGS4), Note2 and HTC One XL wont.
Is it new a 4.2 thing?
Try installing the Dolphin Jetpack in the Play Store. I believe that's what made my address bar auto hide.
My Tab S took a six foot nosedive, and seemed to take it all in stride. The only "damage" I have noticed so far, is the email widget at the top of the screen, near the settings icon, and google voice icon, has disappeared. I have become accustomed to using that. I would like to figure this little issue out, but don't know how to adjust that "toolbar" area. Any help would be appreciated.
I have been receiving an extra sms icon ever since i rooted my LG G3 1 week ago. I get the Android Logo dude including my standard envelope icon on my status bar. Has anyone seen this before? How do I fix it?
Are you using another texting app, besides the stock one? If so you need to turn off notifications, in the stock one.
