Hi,
I’ve installed RR v3.1.2 on my GS2 GT-i9100 however I’m encountering a major problem:
The 3G (any sort of mobile data) on my phone doesn’t seem to be working (WIFI works just fine). I’ve tried the LPS & LPX modems (although I don’t know if my choice of modem controls my 3G). This is my first time using an unofficial ROM and I’d really appreciate some advice.
Cheers
Did you wipe user data / cashe / dalvik cashe before flashing ? Try that!

Yep tried that too! I've now tried all modems available with the Resurrection Remix Package as well as tried the Rainbox Rom v7 everything works fine except for 3g.
Have you checked Access Point Names in Mobile network settings?

Sounds like I'm in the same position. Was about to embark on trying to flash a new modem, but was worried about striding down that path.
Any pointers for this? I tried following some instructions I found, but no joy. Maybe I'm missing a key detail in it?
Would appreciate any advice.
Please ignore my last message. Found my answer and fixed it.

Hi all,
I've been using a nightly build of CM10 for a while now, one of the ones with the memory leak. I'd like to keep on top of the most recent nightly builds on a regular basis, but I hate the process of having to re install all my apps again, losing app data and adding all the sync accounts etc etc.
I was just wondering what process people used for updating to the most recent nightly, if there are any easy ways of doing a simple backup for everything, then just restoring it after the update.
Any information would be appreciated.
Cheers.

Just wipe dalvik and cache while flashing..you will not loose any data

Before or after flashing? Anything else I'd need to do or just flash the latest nightly?

Nothing else is required..

I disagree completely, wipe once, if at all.
Twice is completely unnecessary.
Before or after doesn't matter a sh*t as long as you do it before you boot the ROM.
(I've often not wiped anything and its been fine although I'll give best practice advice here.)
Actually with nightlies I don't wipe anything, ever, unless specifically instructed to do so by the dev (new code base or whatever)

No need in wiping anything. There's a script included in the installation for that.

hello poeple i have pac rom and its working great except the sound
its disappearing after few hours of booting phone or letting it away
no sound in music , no sound in viber , no sound in vid
i reflashed but nothing happened
please help
edit:: it doesnt work again unless i reboot
Start from the basics back up your apps and reinstall the Rom and kernel.
Maybe it's a app you have installed that's causing the problem, so install them one at a time if the above options fails

and if you suggest a full wipe so would you recommend pac rom or what other rom??

Do a full wipe, everything except EMC AND SD
Redownload your rom to make sure, do you have that problem on CM10. 1?

Hello community. I have a problem with the pac man rom for my Samsung galaxy s2 (i9100).
Always when the screen turns off, a soft reboot happens. Updating to the newest nightly didn't help. So, is that a known issue or am I the only person, who recognized that?
It's pretty annoying, so I hope you can help me. I Googled a lot but couldn't find anything about that. So please don't flame me.....
Thank you

Is this only in nightlies?Have you tried the stable version? What kernel are you using?
26/6/2013 with dori 9.32 ok here.
No. Not only in nightlies. I first had a stable version, but somebody recommended me to try a nightly. As you see... Same problem. I didn't change the kernel when I came from cyanogenmod. I tried the dorimanx 9.13 with the stable version but it was even worse. Instead of a soft reboot, the screen stayed black and I couldn't do anything.
I can try dorimanx with the nightly but I don't think that that would solve the problem.

Ok, I tried nightly 29.06. with dori 9.33. Same problem. It's strange. Obviously nobody has the problem too.

1) go for a full wipe install.
2)stay on the stock kernel that comes with the rom for a while and see if u have any soft reboot issue.
Oh yes, I tried that in this moment, but with dorimanx and no soft reboot (woohoo). So the reason must hide anywhere in my user data. How can I find out where?
Thank you

its very diff to pin point exactly where the issue is ( may be some left over data of previous rom/kernel/mod/theme might be causing it
but the best solution during it is a Full wipe install
so for now u have a wrk'ng phone without any issue of soft reboots, so enjoy it
cheers!!!!
Ok I can explain it again.
I had cyanogenmod and thought it was cool to use these hybrid options. So I decided to flash pac man rom 23.0.0. I followed the installing instructions in the xda thread of the rom (including wipe data and cache and dalvik cache). After that I played a bit in the options and restored all my apps via titanium backup. But then I experience my first soft reboots. I didn't know why, couldn't find solutions in the Internet. So I tried another kernel: dorimanx. Now I still had soft reboots but without the bootanimation (only black screen).
Then the xda member bluefa1con said I should flash the newest nightly. I did but I still had the soft reboots. Today I wiped everything, flashed the pac man rom again and had no soft reboots (for at least one hour). Ok that's everything.
I don't want an empty phone without my data. I want to keep my apps. So is there a way to find out what's the reason for the soft boots except wiping and restoring app for app and waiting until I have soft reboots again? Maybe only root apps can cause this....
Thank you.

which rom version are you using? and did you install the new 7/20 rom?

Hi and thanks for the answers!
I'm using the last release, 7/20.
I used clockworkmod, reboot, i install the rom, the gapps and rebooted. I tried both cache/dalvik wipe but with no success. I'm having some problems also with the mobile net: sometimes it stop working 3g/H using only 2g. I have to reboot the phone to solve.
My operator is H3G Italia
Thanks!

Hi there. Since v5.0 of Neat Rom Lite i don't have mobile data on my phone. Did full flash, even formatted both sd cards, tried different kernels... same result: mobile data enabled, no internet though. With any other ROM (4.1.2 or 4.3 JB) i never encountered the problem. Pls help.
Btw, my country is Romania if that has any importance at all.

Try entering you APN in manually. I use neatrom myself and ive never had a problem. If the APN method dont work try flashing another modem. Hope you resolve it

Thank You very much. The broadband APN was missing for some reason. Made a new one and everything works now.
