Guys, I own an Xperia U. I've updated it to ICS build number 6.1.1.C.1.0 via flashtools. After using for few days, I applied v6 supercharger script as I didn't feel this rom snappy. It worked fine but now after 2 weeks it's causing errors. Errors are like Windows' "Not responding" plz wait. Also, my battery backup dropped. Are there any favorable settings for xperia u?
Same problm
I also had a window popping every 10sec indicating I had a minfree
Values mismatch
V6 supercharger
Why dun u rerun the script and select moderate settings
Which setting r u using?? Aggressive???

I tried all three 512 settings but no luck. Whenever I open fb, I get error. I even tried the superchager calculator settings, which are actually a bit non-annoying than above three but after few time phone becomes slower.
I have also applied Pimp my rom tweaks but not the minfree values. Only I/O scheduler tweaks and three sleepers in kernel section.
Do you think that has anything to do with this freezing errors?

Did you patch the services.jar ? V6 worked fine for me but when I patched services, I got loads of FCs, huge lag and rom became nearly unusable
Let me know Cheers

Services.jar were patched automatically during installation for me via internet....
So it means we need not patch it??
I suggest you avoid it.. Just use Supercharger's mem tweaks without the Services.. But it might just have been an off case with me though.. Not sure

I did patch services.jar
So you mean I shouldn't have done that? Also, when I used its earlier version i.e. V8 script, I didn't even bother to patch services.jar. Coz I didn't know about it, seriously. The new script tells you whether you've patched services.jar or not. V8 script never gave me errors instead it did its convincing job very well.
I'll try v8 script again when I re-flash my stock rom 6.1.1.C.1.0 which is pretty snappy but still I have to find out whether zepplinrox's script works for 512mb ram devices or is it just hokum.
Don't use the V8 script.
Just use the latest V6 http://goo.gl/1JPl8
For ICS and up, use the latest Ultimatic patcher http://goo.gl/IvGL1
If your ROM is pre-ICS you don't need any patch for supercharging - but you can use the patcher for mulititasking mods

First of all, thanks for your reply.
As I said earlier, I'd re-flash my stock rom, so I did it. It pretty fast now. I applied the script without patching anything. It's working like a charm. With pimp my rom, I only applied the sleepers mod.
So my conclusion is to flash the 6.1.1.C.1.0 rom again if you guys are having problems. And apply only these settings. For more brief answers, you can ask me
Also battery is pretty darn amazing. Even though I changed my systemUI,apk, there's no change in its performance.

while searching the android forum i came upon this script..... SMURFED OUT
pros: highly customisable script,, optimization as per user requirement ...
battery tweaks, memory tweaks, speed tweaks, governor tweaks, 3g and wifi tweaks, SD card tweaks, and a bunch of random tweaks. Some collected from a bunch of different phones tweaks and others created by developer.
----The script will search out every line in your build.prop and remove any line that is there that I am adding and remove it first to reduce duplicate codes. It will remove a whole list of other init.d files that conflict with it. Will also create a few other files and folders to add functionality and speed optimization to your phone.
What if you do not like the tweaks that I added.....well the script creates back-ups for you and you can choose the option to Un-Smurf and it will set you back to before you installed.---
READ MORE HERE THE ORIGINAL THREAD --

thanks the developer if u find it useful for use......
IMPORTANT--- please dont fill up the thread with-- is this better than that script or anything else,, use this if it suits your need .... else u always have a variety to choose from....
this one script is for DEODEXED ROMS only...... closes most of the system app thus freeing up memory increasing battery life and removes lagginess

ummm, just a doubt, are scripts optimised for odexed or deodexed ROMs?
If yes, would the smurf script work for an odexed ROM?
didnt find anything related on that thread

generally all scripts work for both odexed and deodexed.....
but the smurfed out is for any rom...odexed or deodexed...
the second script is for deodexed only ...as the script is to handle the system apps control..u can enable or disable further system apps by editing the script using root explorer like file manager
It seems to be a very good script.Hope the developer continue to update it. I have installed the script on TranX rom but need to make a clean install to see the results. Will post later.
Edit: Having problems with wifi and 3g. They don´t turn on.Wifi goes on and off.

A friend of mine unfortunately has a 5830i. I managed to root it and make a cement backup, but then i noticed that not having an init.d folder nor a modded kernel there weren't many tweaks to apply.
Has anyone got some suggestions about it? For the moment i installed latest v6 supercharger, which seems to work nice.

Isn't supercharger, like all other script needs init.d to run too? How come u can make it work without init.d:/
I'm trying to implement init.d on mine under a Stock Rom. Everything is working, just need to make BusyBox run these scripts at the phone's start up.

If we manage to do this we can install those custom scripts and even make custom ROMs out of it.

I combined Script Manager and these 'hacks' I posted and I think it kinda worked, everything in init.d is being executed on Stock rom of our phone model.
Ok, so you have somehow upgraded your phone to Sony’s Ice Cream Sandwich, and now you are shocked at the lag of your phone. Listed below are steps you should do to improve your ICS experience, and hopefully feel less jealous of your friend’s (insert name of high-end android model).
Note: This guide is written specifically for Xperia Neo V, but should work on Xperia Neo, Arc/S etc. provided you install the correct kernels for your device.
1. Root your phone and install Clockwork Mod Recovery.
There are two ways to do this, locked and unlocked bootloader.
Locked bootloader:
Please refer to these threads for more info.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601038
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364509
I might not be able to help as my bootloader is unlocked, but I will try.
Unlocked bootloader
For unlocked bootloader, you should flash a custom kernel for more benefits.
Install fastboot and all the other drivers if you have not already
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24457419&postcount=1
Place the following file on your SD card.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1090931&d=1338234349
Find a kernel with clockwork mod recovery preinstalled. Here are some recommendations.
Suave kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1708532
XNeo kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1704268
Night elf kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566871
To flash the kernel, rename the .img file to boot.img and place it into the fastboot folder. Plug your phone in to the USB while holding the menu button. The LED should turn blue. Open cmd.exe, type “cd” followed by dragging your fastboot folder in the cmd. After that, type “fastboot flash boot boot.img” Restart the phone and continuously press the volume down button
2. Remove bloatware.
Auto remove with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26538965 Thank ThilinaC for this!
Manual removal: Install Titanium Backup from the Play Store. Start by removing the useless stuff (Wisepilot etc.) After that, if you are feeling a bit adventurous, you can check out this thread for removing more stuff
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19772266&postcount=1
3. Overclock your CPU. (only for unlocked bootloaders)
This is pretty self-explanatory. Just install a cpu tuner app such as No frills, setcpu, SetXperia. It is generally safe to overclock to around 1.4Ghz.
4. Build.prop tweaks
This is where the stuff gets interesting. Use an app such as root explorer and navigate to /system and edit the build.prop. Add the following lines to the bottom of the file.
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=150
persist.adb.notify=0
debug.sf.hw=1
debug.performance.tuning=1
video.accelerate.hw=1
Full list available HERE Thank the OP.:good:
After editing, restart your phone and your phone will speed up eventually.
5. Remove CPU rendering
Navigate to system/lib/egl and edit egl.cfg file. Remove the first line. After that delete libGLES_android.so Restart and wait.
6. Install the v6 supercharger (thanks Pandemic for the PM)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1704268
7. Get a copy of the Xperia Sola home, along with other Sola apps. They are way faster than the crappy stuff in the 2011 devices. Available HERE.
8. Install the newest JB Adreno drivers HERE
9. (OPTIONAL) Install the Xperia S Walkman, its faster than the V version lol. (credits go to ThilinaC)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26739806&postcount=1
Games work perfectly fine on my phone. Some random lags on temple run but not FIFA 12.
Why stock rom? Because the rom is actually quite well optimised and doesn't suffer from mulitouch problems. And the Xperia S Walkman is great:victory:
Suggestions are welcome so that we can all improve this thread.:highfive:

I didn't miss anything for tweaking my phone,

The persist code is for removing the usb debugging notification when you plug in a usb. Window max events per sec is for improving scrolling speed and the others are for hardware acceleration/gpu.

Thanks for the Xperia S home tip. But I am slightly confused over Enable GPU rendering. Doesn't remove cpu rendering do the same job, or do you mean the force gpu option in developer options.
just asking out of curiosity, doesn't debug.sf.hw=1 enable rendering ui with gpu ? so whats the point editing egl.cfg file ?
or am I wrong?

Nice from you that you wrote all this, but all this is pretty much standard procedure for any fw, not just ICS.
And why point 6 is on the list, Xperia S walkman? That's kinda down to each person opinion, right?
Also:
Misc. If you upgraded from gingerbread using the official way, make a backup with CWM and make a complete restore. Of course, you have to apply these tweaks again but your device will be faster.
Click to collapse
If you make CWM right after that update and restore it, you won't gain anything(like speed), (possible)stuff from GB will still be in that backup.
If you update, and old stuff is left over from GB, then do repair(with PCC/SEUS), and then you can make CWM backup of clean ICS, but no need to restore it.
And you won't need to reapply tweaks if you do them before CWM backup, after restore, they will also be restored

I had some problems installing Xperia Slim and cannot use it, even before getting out of the starting gate. The problem seem to center around superuser permission. But here are my experiences.
1. You can't use Lupus GB. This will result in bootloops. Changed to Night Elf v10 Experimental (couldn't find v 10.1 Experimental) and the phone booted off just fine.
2. The lightness and speed of the ROM was just great. The feel of this ROM is the best of any other ROM I've tried. This is exactly the kind of ROM I want.
3. Tried to update the Supeuser binary. But it kept telling me that "Superuser was denied superuser permission" no matter how many times I tried. Installed SuperSU through CWM (this automatically removes Superuser). But when I tried to enter SuperSU the app froze. I tried this many times. Did a full wipe and installed Xperia Slim again. After the settling in period I went into Settings -> Applications and Force Closed Superuser and Cleared Data. Rebooted. Now I could update the binary.
4. Before installing all my usual apps directly from the Play Store I will always install Link2SD first. I have a 1GB Ext4 partition for it. All my apps, when installed, will roughly take up over 600MB. But Link2SD could not mount the script saying that "Root access was denied", again and again. So I uninstalled Link2SD and installed S2E. But when I checked the storage status in S2E I found that the Ext4 partition could not be mounted. Maybe it cannot recognize Ext4 partitions.
5. There was nothing else I could do. So I restored a nandroid backup I made before installing Xperia Slim.
I really like the feel of this ROM and would like to be able to use it. But I need to get Link2SD working first. Please help. :crying:

XNova Thor I think it will work bec the project xoen based on it
But wolf I don't know
Here is the thing you must have a kernel and rom that supports init.d to make it boot or at the other side boot loop
I don't know how to fix init.d boot loops bec I tried to put a lot of scripts in many ROMs and I fail to make it boot
You can just try it and plz post feedback
And I will try to know how to make them boot on every device (peace)
A new zip will be posted after I get back from school

May I ask... What the hell is this?! Dude, you just took zip file from @Exit_Only 's Operation Killjoy thread and added a whole bunch of scripts (50). And the worst thing is that like 15 or more of them do the same thing but have different values, this is pointless. Like really?
Moreover, the scripts are from various devs like Exit_Only (killjoy) or WindowsX (fidelity) and you didn't even give any credit.

I only took kill joy because of the entropy tweak and I gave credit to the one provided me with some of these scripts.
And I am deleting some scripts that make a bootloop so if there is 50 scripts I think that there is 15 script only important and I dont need any of the others
Update will be soon after I finish mid year exams
