Installed flash on my droid x2 that is running dzk's JB mod (10/7 Alpha 2 build). But Netflix shows no video just audio. Is it just not working on this JB mod, or is it because of CM10.
Thanks in advance.

Its one of the issues that come with not having an up to date kernel. the app is trying to load things that arent in the kernel so the screen cant display the video only processing the sound. and possibly a drm issue
Ok, just making sure I hadn't done anything wrong.

I haven't been on my X2 for over a year since having a DROID RAZR MAXX, but you might want to look into getting something like OTA Rootkeeper. This allows you to "unroot" your phone temporarily. It's what I have to use in order to watch my movies via Flixster because if the phone is rooted, it won't play the videos.
This might be your case since you're running a ROM which is rooted.

I am thinking about running the MIUI room that just recently came out on ROM manager, but I don't want to flash it if I cannot get back to stock and not receive the GB update when it comes.
Is there a reliable way to get back to stock yet? I have tried making a backup of my current state but every time that I do my X2 restarts...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes you can get back to 100% stock.. There is a flashable SBF that does it.

I don't think MIUI is available for the X2. Check the X2 development forums. The SBF thread in particular. The answer yo your questions are there.

I think the naming conventions of Droid's has caused a lot of confusion. Many things have been released for the Droid X and the Droid 2 at the same time, leading people to post about updates to the Droid X/2, which in fact is not the Droid X2.
I know MIUI is available, it is on ROM manager on my X2. And I found out about the imminent GB update on the X2 general forum.
So unless there are a lot more people than me "confused" by the names of Motorolas Phones, than I think it is probably true that GB will be here as a 2.3.4 build soon enough. I think that is why not much development has been done on this phone, why develop on Froyo when GB comes out so soon?

I haven't heard of any X2 owner using ROM Manager. A far as I can tell, to date, there are only derivatives of that chinese ROM floating around. I would research more before you flash whatever you see in ROM Manager. Unless you are skilled enough to un-brick your phone.
But hey... Let me know how that works out for you.

I will see what the DEV part of the forum says, but I will probably try to flash it tonight.
I will let you know how it goes.
Rom manager its probably seeing your phone as the atrix. You don't want to download a rom for the atrix, it will not work and you will be forced to sbf back to stock. There is currently only one rom fire the x2 and at least 3 others in the works.

Miui is most definitely not out for the x2.... but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try since you can easily unbrick

Yeah, it didn't work. Reflashed to stock. At least I tried I guess. I cannot wait until GB comes out on this thing. I wanna play with some roms and customize this thing.

Yeah I downloaded it from ROM manager and tried flashing it. It got about 2/3 of the way through the install and rebooted.
Had to go back to stock. A slightly annoying process, but i figured I may as well try and let the community know the results.

It seems every other ROM I use has a market issue, even on stock 2.3.4 its telling me I have no apps on my account. Anyone else having these issues? Has anyone found a solution?

Eclipse 1.3 it works fine for me, but if I go back to stock 2.3.4 it shows no apps plus it won't update them either but will show them as installed.

Same exact prob here. When I contacted google they said I must be running a custom rom. Thing is it works fine with eclipse. My stock moto rom is when it doesn't work the prob.

I have had this issue for 4 months. Back and forth with Google "support", they are trying to blame it on root access. Basically, no fix. I finally installed Eclipse because I was tired of using a combination of ChangeLogDroid and Appbrain to get updates.
Eclipse fixes it. I think the original issue was caused by Titanium Backup messing up the Market DB.
The real problem is once the damage is done even if you're on a non-rooted stock rom it stays broken. While going back and forth with Google support I SBF'd back to stock and it still didn't fix anything.

I did use titanium backup before it happened. Is it messing something up on the phone or Google servers? After a sbf everything should be stock. Right? Seems like a server or account issue. I created another google account and it works fine. I really just want to go back to stock but can't. Very frustrating!

Anyone tried installing market 3.4.4?
It's in our themes/apps section
No problems at all for me on that version

I tried to do the market fix. It didn't help.

Im glad you're giving it a fair shake but betas aren't meant to be daily drivers. Also you might find it easier to get answers if you post your questions inside the miui beta thread.

Im looking for a Rom that is as similar to stock as possible with WiFi tethering available. I'm doing this for a friend and I don't know much about the droid x2. I am experienced with HTC phones though so I'm not a noob.

I tried that with stock Rom and it errors out saying the kernel doesn't support it. The phone is stock 2.3.4. I just downloaded CM7.2 for it and am going to install that to the device pretty soon. I have been taking things slow to make sure I do everything correctly because this is much more difficult to do than my droid incredible 2.

You can try that, but that is SO far left from stock ROM since there is no BLUR in it and all the apps are AOSP.
Also, HDMI doesn't work under CM7, so if you still want that, you won't have it. It's still a great ROM and it's pretty darned fast, but it does still have some issues with apps hanging once in awhile. Otherwise, it's not a bad ROM at all, especially since it was just released a few weeks ago.
I don't have much choice considering there aren't any roms that close to stock. I've had experience with CM7 roms so I know some of the issues that will rise with its use. I was trying to avoid using the 2.3.5 sbf and rerooting to use eclipse.

I will have to reroot after I flash it? If so Im not going to be able to do that right now. I'm returning the phone today and I won't have time to take it home to my comp so I can root it again. A link to the page would be nice to if you don't mind.

Hello members,
I am using Verizon Motorola Droid Razr XT912 and facing lag issues since i have bought the phone from US. Earlier it was running on ICS but was laggy so i updated to JB 4.1.2 (System version: 98.72.165.XT912.Verizon.en.US). But still i am facing lag issues while recieving calls, exploring launcher etc. I am using "CLEAN MASTER" & it shows RAM usage mostly 80%-90% even i have few apps installed i.e. 78. Where can be the issue? Kindly assist, Thanks!!

All ROMs are always being worked on here, so there will always be some sort of bug somewhere, but most of the ROMs here work great! I'm personally running SlimKat and I can't think of an issue to inform you of. Good luck rooting and finding a ROM you like!
