Did you get an 'error preparing files' after that? Make sure you have unlocked bootloader and you have the proper set of files downloaded.

Kernels can b changed via cwm.. Download zip typ kernel package & install is as update.zip in cwm.

So what you want is an app that changes kernel - not needed as kernels are already provided as update.zip
Or you want to download a particular kernel and flash it?
Wait for i6 its coming with InDroid OTA app

You are right. Even if you get an app, it will do the same thing as the update.zip for kernel does. You will have to reboot. So why exactly do you need an app??
jea you have to go to the recovery maybe an app that gives a notification when there is a update for your kernel? then click it update etc and then it sends you to recovery..

flashed to the official beta ROM for Neo V?
if not, visit :
link to Neo V thread :http://developer.sonymobile.com/wp/...cked-2011-xperia-smartphone-models/#more-5513
link to (official)thread at Arc section: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22876871
and flash the ROM.
extract the zip package to fastboot folder:
and in cmd.
fastboot flash boot boot.img (use the kernel provided below)
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot flash system system.img
ICS beta kernel with build-in recovery by NightElf http://www.mediafire.com/?g2r8ulhzj7fuchg
to get super user and to enable wifi and bluetooth, perform the following:
1. download and replace the boot.img with nightelf's boot.img and flash it using fastboot..
2. when the kernel boots, press vol-down repeatedly to enter cwm.
3. flash the file provided .. and Voila!!
4. reboot.
Gapps+FaceUnlock
Gapps Lite: Gapps
Full Gapps: Full Gapps
you have fully working ICS..
i have tested the CWM recovery to be working once the phone is rooted.
it isn't a flashable zip.
you have to extract the zip provided and run the install-cwm1.cmd file..
and you can access cwm with the vol- button while booting.
Worked for me xD
Got on screen buttons working ??
Do NOT use the flashable one btw, causes boot loop :/
Anyone got the ORIGINAL ICS launcher ??
I dont like the GB style SE one

u dont need the whole adb bundle, if u have rooted ur fone using "root with restore"then u already have it in the folder (stuff), just copy this batch file there and run it.
