Great Little War Game (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rubicon.dev.glwg) and Great Big War Game (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rubicon.dev.gbwg) are both very well done and fun RTS games. Another game I would recommend is Pirates! Showdown (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flashpointgames.piratesshowdown), it's combat is somewhat similar to that of Age of Empires.

Android RTS
Ok. the best one is Art of war 2 but it is short, then you have Rusted Warfare which is in alpha stage and you have Z origins. You can always buy N64oid from the Slideme Market and play Starcraft but like the previously mentioned games there is a lot to be desired. It drives me nuts that no company has bothered to make a actually good RTS game for Android(I'm looking at you Warfare Incorparated).God I hope one comes along soon!!!!
And this the wrong section.

Age of strategy dude. You wouldn't believe how many similarities it has with age of empires. The first is the name. The only diffrence is that age of strategy is a turn based game. Still a good game though!!!

Hello, i was wondering if you guys got any game recommendation and its fun ? Any genre is fine =D
For mmorpg there pocket legends a really good online game for android, for mmo I would say world war similar to Mafia wars but not everyone likes it, fruit ninja is a fun game (slicing fruit) but to be honest gets boring after a bit, and you could try any number of tower defense games like robo defence.

Superstar baseball 2010 and 2011 are also good as well,
raging thunder2 is marvelous.
Airport Mania
hmmm, i was thinking if there are any FPS for my device. Nova looks fun on my friend's DHD but it wasnt optimised for O1. so do u guys have any suggestion?
Buy from market Pes 2011 ( Pro evolution Soccer 2011 ) . Best game for 3$ ( or 2 euros ) . The buggy multitouch on the P500 might be annoying at times but it's still a great title that runs very well even at stock cpu settings .
Another great title , this one is for free on the market , Speedx . It's a really dynamic game , with an ever changing dimension . You have to avoid blocks and poles .
Angry Birds Rio , this one's self explanatory
Reckless Racing, though this one's price is a bit steep - 5 $ ( 4 and something euros ) and even though it's fun it doesn't have many maps, at least it has great multiplayer potential ( oh and graphics are awesome )
Cyberlords Arcology - This one I downloaded from somewhere , didn't buy it , but I'm thinking of doing this( to support devs ) , as it's trully a nice 2D RPG with a great story . Really recommend this one.
Tank Hero is an epic shooter , with a lot of maneuvering to be done , I mostly played it on an SGS as multitouch on P500 is kinda crappy and you really need to move fast , also shoot fast .
Zenonia 2 This is some kind of a JRPG ( Japanese RPG ) . I played only 1 lvl or so , it seems to have nice 2D graphics and a somewhat compelling story . You decide if it's truly good or not
Sims 3 - Worst 5 euros I could give on a game . I swear , compared to the pirate version it doesn't have any additional content ( bigger city , more appearances for sims , more home upgrades ) or at least I didn't get to them yet.
Nfs Shift - Around 4 euros . It's a pretty good and relaxing title , at least for the first part of the career until you start upgrading your car. It's quite a challenge to control the bazillion horse power cars .
Worms - 1 euros and something title , it's pretty poor in all aspects ( guns , maps ) , at least it has the same feeling as the one for PC

but i've got a prob, why NFS Shift closes itself after i installed the packs?
Soz haven't tested Warrez pack . I guess you could try to make it work just to see if it satisfies your tastes ( worth buying I mean ) . For me SD files sit in Android > Data , and every sd files starts with "com" .
The latest version is 1.0.62

PLEASE EMBED VIDEOS WITH YOUR REPLIES TO MAKE THE THREAD A MORE ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE

Great game for those who love strategy games
Video Preview of game:
Whale Trail. Hands down. So much fun, well optimized for an ICS tablet.
Here is a whole thread about which games work for us.
I'm into Osmos HD, Quell and Zen Pinball THD atm.
Cheers
Riptide GP, Zen Pinball, Reckless Getaway, and Galaxy on Fire 2 THD had been my favorites until yesterday when I was able to downgrade my firmware to 9.4.2.7 ICS and now, I'm playing my Gameloft games- Modern Combat 3, Backstab HD, and Asphalt6.
Basically i like everything that has gamepad support
So GTA III, ShadowgunTHD, Sonic 4, Zenonia 4 (just started it, heard it sucks later on because of its payment system/balance - i HATEHATEHATE FreeToPlay Games. They always end up being no fun without paying (endless grinding), and no fun if you pay either (too easy). Its just such a bad thing for gaming... WHY?), PSX&N64 Emulator games, Riptide GP, Samurai II. Yeah.
Touch games only work for me if its something like Where is my water, or Angry birds. This "virtual" joystick thing is just bad - especially on a tablet. Almost as bad as FTP games.

Yeah, op is a little late in the game. The one I made already well established with a very extensive list with links and is already a sticky thread. Plus this should be n QnA section since its a question thread..thing is there's already a few threads on this already.
I dunno. 'What are your top games?' and 'What games work?' are two fairly different but valid questions if you ask me. I don't personally want to pour through every working game to find the gems. I might be interested in knowing what everyone can't live without. However I'm really not all that interested in either for some reason. I used to love gaming. Something's changed. Hopefully it's just temporary.

There have been a few experiments with DS emulators in the past - but the verdict usually ended up with terrible framerates.
Now that we have a quadcore device that has a sizeable increase in performance over other devices - the question of true performance stands...
"...but can it play pokemon?"
This would be one of the easiest things to do. But its a matter of if anyone wants it. I had DS emulator for Ipad. It was OK. There are no great games really only it. Pokemon is for little kids..lol. by the way though, I think Digimon characters would destroy Pokemon ones..lmfao its really a matter of if someone wants to use their time tl make one. With all the other great emulators out there, no real demand for DS emulator. You the first I ever heard ask for one.
What I want to see is a Turbo Gratix 16 or PC engine emulator or a 3DO one.

Disagree, there's literally tons of great games on DS, it's been the best hand-held gaming platform I had so far, there's a huge variety of games, not only pokemon
Take a look at Advance Wars 1 and 2, The World Ends With You (this game is a Masterpiece), Dragon Quest IX, Final Fantasy Tactics 2, Scribblenauts, All the Castlevania-RPGs etc ... I'll stop here, but there's a lot more! All of these are no Casual games too!
Anyway concerning the emulator, I think Nintendo sold so many DS that people just play on DS instead of emulators for tablets, but it's just my opinion
I find it funny to hear someone say Pokemon is for kids, and then reference Digimon.
There are tons of great games on the DS system, especially JRPGs.

Lmfao. You got me. Both are. But if one were to be better than another in battle I'd go with the latter.
To op; those are some good games you mentioned. Advanced wars n dragon quest. Been so long since playing a DS. Or at least the original one. I moved on from Nintendo, as IMO, more kiddie oriented games. I had moved on to PSP. I even had an Atari Lynx back in the day and a TurboExpress still have my Sega master system from over 20yrs. Ago.
D.S was a major advancement in evolution of mobile gaming compared to gameboy. I still think gameboy holds all time best selling portable device.

I have a PSP too, and there's some great games on it too ... just not as much as on DS IMO ...
You're right about Nintendo being more casual and kid oriented, the exception being the Nintendo DS, there's so much RPGs on this machine and original concepts ... sure there's tons of kid games, but there's just as much "real games" trust me

I believe it. I love RPG. Been playing since those Dragon warrior n Ultimate Quest of the Avatar on NES. Looking forward to trying out DS emulator once one is made for Prime.
I really want a Dreamcast and Saturn Emulator. Loved playing power stones n Phantasy Star. Those had alot of great RPG also. PC engine/Turbo gratis 16 had some great RPG also.
The problem right now is no so much the lack of hardware that could handle it, it's been the compatability of the emulator with the games. Some games will just never work properly on an emulator no matter what the processing power.

I'm pretty sure it's only little kids who say Pokemon is only for little kids. All of my friends who are 20+ love Pokemon as it is a great game and is excellently made. All of Nintendo's games are made with the utmost quality and are jam packed full of fun.
That said, I would love to see a DS emulator for android. I've been hoping for one recently as I want to play Pokemon Black or White but I don't want to have to carry my DS around with me. Having only one thing to carry would be awesome.
If we were able to run a full fledged DS emulator on our Prime that would blow all the games iOS + Android combined.
i've had every model of the DS minus the latest 3-Disaster but i honestly wouldn't do much with a DS emulator. i'd probably have more fun with a GBA emulator.

Lol, it was a disaster for Nintendo maybe, but I was more than happy to trade in my old DSlite and get a brand new hand-held with tons of added features for $100 That being said, I use it the same amount which is not at all and I don't think I could put an emulator through any more use.
I do have GBC/GBA/NES/SNES/N64 emulators on my phone/Prime and love being able to break out the classics, but the newer Nintendo and its 1st party developers get the less they jive with me as a consumer and fan. A DS/3DS emulator would be for bragging rights more than anything.
What I do want to see is PS2 emulation though! I would kill for that.
There's an issue making emulators for current hardware though, and that's the fact that most dev's don't like entering legal battles with giant corporations. Emulating game ROMs for current hardware isn't looked at any different than pirated games on the original hardware I don't think.

Not going to happen, however you could check Paul's forums.
He claims that he will work on a NDS emulator next year.
And another 6 months for a 10 fps running stable release.

I've played Homerun Battle 3D on both the Galaxy S2 and my Prime. What I like most about this game is being able to battle others from around the world online and acquiring better gear as you get better.
Was playing the free version for awhile, but bought it when it was on sale:

EDIT: Oh btw, it's only batting so no pitching.

And, OP, I've heard of a really popular one. Its called real life(jk). But, afaik, there aren't any good ones.

If you don't mind a baseball game that looks a little cartoony, Baseball Superstars 2011 (Paid version) is your best bet (I would say 2012, but the "freemium" nature is a bit annoying, though I would say I played an entire season and didn't need to buy anything).
The game is surprisingly deep (lots of options and strategy), and really fun to play. You can play the quick games if you want to avoid training, etc
I'm going to add my opinion on this. For a true, manager, pitching/batting team experience, baseball superstars 2011 or 2012. For an arcade, with buying uniforms, DeMarini (Vexxum, CF4/CF5, M2M, Vendetta), Voodoo etc. go for Homerun Battle 3D .... you can play users all over the world. I've played that for the last 1.5 years, recently i moved to Homerun Battle 2, which adds more batting options, characters (you can be a woman), stadiums to play at (outer space, hell, island) and different levels of attaining gold balls (you can play Duel, Survival where your health drops down and you pick which type of ball to throw to your opponent and try to get your health to the top, and Mission mode where you can play 4 other players at the same time and you have to win a certain "mission", say, hit 6 homeruns without a strike). You can also play single player in HB2 and there is a new option as well called "Burning" which will give your thumb pads a workout after playing 5 minutes (mine went numb).
Homerun Battle 3d was my favorite for years now. Both HB3D and HB2 have trial modes so you can play them before you buy
The best one is the one missing the Yankees.
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201
Baseball Superstars 2012, it's not a sim experience, but it's fun to play and has enough depth to keep you interested
oh yes, i forgot:

pitching, batting, infielding. search for com2us
Thanks all I check out Baseball Superstars 2011. Didn't like BS2012.

Do you prefer a simulation type game or one that is more simplified into a scenario type game? We are close to launching a multi-level scenario game. If you want to keep posted on release date you can follow @kidkgame on twitter

Hello,
I've recently created different flappy bird clones and tried to jump on the flappy bird train, but it didn't work out, as there simply is too much competition.
I wonder if creating apps for android is profitable for small developers anyway. Are there any suggestions on which kind of games to focus? Which genres are you targeting on?
What are your experiences with casual games?
Everyone likes high end graphics games.... but so far the only game i havent seen on the play store... its a soccer game...fifa 15 & 16 just sucks... cant play international games ect... maybe a worl cup game with narrators? Since its just around the corner!!.. & maybe charge $5 bucks for it..
Sent from my SM-N920P using XDA-Developers mobile app
The thing is, as a single developer, I can't afford high end graphics. So I'm looking for market gaps.
Never thought of a football game... I might give it a try, thanks.
Simple games sometimes do very well. Look at flappy bird. I would go for a simple game with simple easy to understand input.
Phone games are meant to kill time. Make a game that requires no skill at all.
Side scrolling 2d games....that have a storyline!
There is no silver bullet. You could never know which one will be hyped.
If you have a lot of money to spend on marketing you can sell any game, otherwise it doesn't matter if your game has high- or low-end graphics. If some people start to play with it and start to share it you'll win
Just make games you would like to play with
jglm4u,
Its too hard to develop soccer games on android and need expensive licenses for stars like messi or ronaldo.
