Wifi disconnetc after a while CM7 - Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500

I'm using CM7 from is early stage, and i've had always some problem with my home wifi. the phone is able to connect and get ip address, but after a while (it could be 10 min to 1 or 2 hours) it disconnect and is not able to connect again. The only thing that works is restart phone and router. Is t possible that there are some problems between g5 and my router (linksys WAG54G2)? are there some modifications/settings that i can do both on g5 and on router?
obviously, i'm referring to an old g5, not the phone in my signature

Is it disconnecting when the phone is in sleepmode? If yes you could try to go to Wifi settings, press the menu button, go to advance and check the wifi sleep policity to never hope that helps

Unfortunatly i've already checked this option, but it keep disconnecting after some times, and, this is my core problem, is not able to reconnect

You said you are using an early version or are you using the latest version, if its the latest version , the problem is your router, or modem, bceause the wifi of the latest CM7 version works perfect for me and for most of the others

I'm using latest version. I said that I've this problem from earlier versions...
I agree to focus on router, what settings could I change?
Inviato dal mio GT-I8150 con Tapatalk 2

Oh I don't know much about Router settings pero Lei puo provare reinstall the latest ROM or try another ROM. If the problem stays you could only try asking your router seller

Screen Not Timing Out

Hi guys.
Am on the latest 4.0.4 unbranded in the UK (waiting patiently for JB)
But my screen is not timing out and is draining the battery something chronic, basically unplugged it from charge this morning and have just got the message for the phone to be plugged into the charger.
The display timeout is set to 15 seconds but unless I press the power button to put the screen off then it is just constantly staying on.
Help anyone?

Might be related to an installed application. I removed Drivelink and the issue is gone.

wifi problems after ics update [sola]

I have been encountering wifi problems in my sola. I have updated it to ics a while ago and ive noticed that every now and then my internet connection timeouts and when that happens I switch the wifi off then on then the internet connection comes back. It annoys me to refresh the wifi again and again. I havent encountered this problem back when my sola was running in jb. I dont know if the problem is in the router or isp provider or the phone but my netbook is connected to the wifi connection and it works fine.

well my phone was stuck in a bootloop once when i tried rooting it but i unbricked it a while ago already. oh, what hard is that here in my country there is no ics release yet i think. i just flashed one ftf file from another country's release, the india release. is it a problem?
No i think not, it s ok? If you have wifi problem yet, try wipe all in your menu, save/synchro and click erase all, internal memory and all data.
After reboot your must be run perfectly!

After flashing there is an installation to continue on your device, on the end :
Power off
Or use mobile

[Q] Why wifi is turning off when screen turns off?

Hi,
I am using a samsung galaxy s2 I9100 phone and recently updated to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 XXLS8. My problem is that when I turn my screen off or it turns off automatically, the wifi network is off. Wifi duing sleep is turned to always on in settings but doesnt seem like working. If im chatting and until someone replies the screen turns off, I wnt receive any notifications until I turn it on to check manually. Same applies for email. When i turn the screen on, it will show wifi now connected. This was not a problem on ICS as even though the screen was off, I would receive notifications and email as it is sent.
So can u please suggest a solution and also I dont want to go back to ICS
Thanks
Read here how to go from JB back to ICS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1951251.

Thx for your reply but as i said i dnt want to downgrade from Jelly Bean as i waited long to have it and it works well. The only prob being that wifi issue. I fink this problem should be solved instead. Anyone having the same issue?

Try to use a nuke script on the device and reflash JB.
Don't forget to backup everything.
Sent from my digital submersible hovercraft.
Whats a nuke script and how to do that? And also do i install the same version of JB again or search for another one as this one has a wifi problem. I downloaded it and installed via Odin.

How to use? Read inside same thread.
Reflash JB just like you flashed it the first time.

Are you guys using any battery saving app? Are you using stock Rom or any custom Rom? Please provide these data along with your question. Without these it's difficult to figure out the problem for any expert.

Same problem here with stock rom, no battery saver apps, and battery saving not active in the settings.
Upgraded to JB with Kies, factory reset afterwards.

Your kernel can turn the wi-fi off when the screen is off. I think it's a kernel issue.
No news about this issue? Did anyone try with XWLSN?

Finally I fixed our problem about wifi. I know you will consider me a stupid, because my solution is related to something we decide to exclude from the possible causes of our wifi issue, but... The problem is fixable managing the router settings! I have a b/g/n modem-router... When it works in b/g/n mode the wifi issue appears... If it works only in b/g mode it disappears! I had exactly the same problem with a Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray, and the solution I found for S2 works for it too... I hope this can helps you too.
Let me know if you fixed or not...
Ps: I actually am on the stock XWLSD...

Freezing phone

I'm using omegarom v40. Before it's working perfectly but now my main problem is every now and then phone keeps freezing. The only way to make it work again is by hard rebooting or holding down the power key. I already did reflashing and also a full wipe but still the prblem exist. What seems to be the problem?
