I can find many zip files but the .exe files are just with other carriers.

Also T-Mobile doesn't use. EXE RUU for the Ruby. I already replied to you on what to do in the other thread.
Download the zip. Rename PG85IMG.zip (make sure its not PG85IMG.zip.zip) . place it in your EXTERNAL memory card in the root (not in any folders). Pull the battery and boot into bootloader (vol. Down + power) and flash using the volume keys
Remember to back up your INTERNAL memory card since the RUU formats (erases) it. Make sure you're either S-OFF or your boot loader is locked and also remember Google is your friend. If you can't find out there thatd because it doesn't exist.

With all due respect. I have one phone that is barely working. I can post in general ans QA all month long and get zero help from anyone knowledgeable. The people that know this phone hang out in developer section. We don't have a troubleshooting forum.

And I keep getting the same advice. Place this on sdcard and ..... I CANNOT get into or SEE bootloader. I don't even see a boot animation when my phone is booting. Phone is charged, battery removed many many times. Adb was working to push RUU then I get signature error on two separate RUUs. Locked bootloader via AIOK and same error.

with all due respect? Respect the rules of the forum, or don't bother posting. And for everyone else, don't bother replying, it'll just encourage people to post Q&A threads in the dev section.
Yes we saw your post. The only reason why you got less help is because your problem seems more complex then what most users understood and they felt they had nothing to contribute. N

I have tried everything posted and nothing gets me any further.
ADB commands pushing RUU, rebooting bootloader, rebooting recovery, etc....
Linux unbrick project
battery pulls
button combinations
PH85IMG on sd card (not sure if it what buttons to press or even if I can get into HBOOT because I just have a black screen.
All In One Toolkit says successful on unlocking bootloader, locking bootloader, flashing recovery, rebooting into bootloader, etc... but NOTHING changes on this phone.
Charging overnight
100% charge
I POSTED in the development section because this is such a complex issue I thought it might assist in the development of this phone as this is CLEARLY an issue that a simple fix has not been found yet.
Moved to General. This is not a support forum. Edit: Meant Q&A. Which is still not a support forum but you might get help there if you are patient.
Ruu's for all carries are in my signature bottom left corner

I have found myself skipping over threads that have 1.5 in the title, pop up dialog, or short thread summary in the app.
Does any one else do this? Wish it wasn't this way.
I am open to helping people but all the 1.5 questions are getting annoying

Deleted. Because my response was just as useful as the threads mentioned...
I just got the EVO 3D a few days ago, but as a themer this is in no way my first go around with gaining root access on a phone/and unlocking the bootloader.
When I came into these threads I had no experience with having to use HTC's (Stupid) unlock tool.
but I went to the roll up sticky thread on here found a guide to make sure I knew I was doing...
asked one little question on IRC I didn't see discussed on the threads , and I was done rooting and had flashed MeanROM in Total time: about an hour
I think if people would just learn to try and read and figure things out, instead of posting a thread about every little question and waiting for a reply they'd get done much sooner.
The guide to unlock the 3vo's bootloader was very easy compared to other devices I have used,
Tl;dr: noobs will be noobs.
It's not as easy for some where the HTC unlock doesn't even work. While others should just read the damn instructions and pray it works, it doesn't always work. It worked for me, but on my friends 3D I can't figure out for the life of me why the unlock will not work. I've tried just about everything. He has software version 2.17 which will not accept a 2.08 RUU and everything else I've tried fails on the last command to unlock the phone.

That's the last thing I haven't tried that I'm doing tomorrow. I had trouble finding a working download link for a stock 2.17 RUU. If that doesn't work, I'm completely out of ideas.

I just ignore any threads with "MIUI" in the title, 1.5 hboot not so much
I'm on 1.5 and actually look for those threads when I'm logged in. But I do see waaayy too many of them for people to be trying to look around.
Unfortunately it seems like many of the useful "stickies" haven't been updated/clarified in a while (imo) and are creating some of the confusion. I've asked in some of those threads for the op to update the links etc (ruu's, Su, recovery, Hboot 1.5, adb/fastboot cmds) and haven't seen a reply.
I ended up creating a thread to help with this until/if the others get updated:
[Guide]My Hboot 1.50 HTC Unlock/recovery/rom/kernel flashing notes.

i was just curious, because when i get the phone i may attempt it. but i do not know how to do it.
Not like they used to, that's for sure. AFAIK HTC hid the flag in a different partition than was previously stored. I know Binary and XB56 tried comparing partitions of a s=off device with a s=on.device and after countless hours, were unsuccessful.
Good luck
There was a thread that accrued a pledge of over $1k for whoever hacks the exploit, but it went nowhere. Can't get the right people the device I guess.

is there anyway we can just use a already s=off 'ed hboot from another amaze on a s=on device?
also, how do you look and compare? what are you looking for?

I would guess that XB or binary may have already thought of that. They were using some program that I can't remember (this is the prob when a dev becomes bigger than the community and pulls his work) that was compared the phones partitions... But there were so many and they weren't consistent so they hit a wall... That's my interpretation of the now removed thread

Nobody is gonna answer any questions in the wrong section for starters.....
You have a question, not contributing to development, wrong place to start a thread.

OK, thanks for answering SOMETHING there... rather than just being a douche...
(When I was in this scene... the XTC was an acceptable topic to post about in development... But, like I said, thanks for being helpful and not being a douche... )
You're a douche...
Everyone thinks they are the police nowadays. Too much judging others going on from watching brain rotting reality tv.
Back to business.....
I am pretty sure it does not work for the current s4 devices. But we will have a s-off solution very soon, it is already confirmed. Check out the s-off thread in the one xl forums.

Mods please move to correct section. Thanks.
I got the DNA about a month ago but when getting it Verizon did the update for me.. while "showing me the ropes".. even though I easily know more, but anyhow I'm stick with it. But it seems like I have to unlock the bootloader to get the recovery to root to flash Rom. But I'm unsuccessful even getting the bootloader unlocked for this ota for this phone. Is someone working on this or maybe I'm missing the current fourm? Thanks for any direction but I'd like to sometime test ubuntu on this quad core beast .. and get the bloatware off of it!

The answer is no.
Wrong section. Doesn't belong in development .
Have you read any of the threads in the DNA general or q&a sections?

For the 1000th time, no, unless you want to send your phone off to be jtagged you cannot unlock/soff/root your phone.

My phone updated as soon as I turned it on (my 3rd replacement.....I keep dropping them) and they were able to jtag my phone and s-off. Worth it for anyone who;s been updated for whatever reason.

I came from the evita (att one onexl) I saw too often bricks cause evita time were flashed to an endeavor or vice versa so I wanna make sure I understand this correctly as I hate to be the guy with a thread titled "help please asap I'm stupid"... I just upgraded to the att one, I've rooted, unlocked bootloader and have s-off'd.. im reading that I can flash any Rom from this att section and the "normal" or other HTC one section..? Is this correct or am I misunderstanding some of what I'm reading... Here's my current the phones current state..
Also, for those that know me, yes I'll be a part of this lovely forum section now, I apologize in advance. for those that don't know me, hi.. I'm mikealo, dont believe the lies! Also, don't look at my previous posts, it will keep you from peering into an complicated realm of insanity that will alter your perception of much of reality that's reflected off the lenses of your eyeballs. At any rate, ill try to behave, happy to be here and thanks for the help in advance... Xoxo babes

That is correct. I too came from the OneXL and saw those threads as well, bricking by flashing a Rom for the endeavor onto the evita. I had the same question and found out we can flash from the AT&T and the normal forum. I'm currently running rayglobe Rom from the regular thread. I always double check just to make sure because it will say in the OP that it works for all variants (except sprint).
