I tried once to use same settings as i use in evervolv's JB 4.2 (and 4.1, and allso 4.0.4) and it didnt boot
R-mount, cache and dalvik enabled - all the rest on disable.
what is the main problem?
Do not use R-mount...

BTW what recomendation about m2sd? please guide me..
Format/wipe all partitiones... Flash rom, then m2sd aached @OP (choose only dalvik), reboot and wait, it needs time to boot.

Things I see:
much faster than sense 4.1
lots of white stuff in browser (rendering issues)
task switcher takes a few seconds to open(no big deal)
htc themed apps load a bit show but still great
I haz 2 phone icons(no screenshot option)
no lockscreen styles
when going to task switch and on an app, when the app zooms out, i see a white flash
sometimes camera flash works(randomly dont know how to reproduce) and sometimes doesn't worx
Clicking trackball doesn't seem to do anything
more will follow if I find anymore

Choose only Dalvik ? No cache, no data, no apps ..... I will try and reply soon . thank for this sense rom :good:
You can choose by your needs... if you don't have a fast sdcard, i suggest you move only dalvik.
EDIT: I've added trackball in init.d... but it's not working, any ideas?
you 're right. My SD card is class 4, very slow .
The rom seems to be very smooth. Almost have no FC or laggy after second reboot.
I will keep using it every day until you have new update

If your just updating the kernel than cc an you just upload the kernel zip so we don't have to reflash the rom?

Gingerbread recompiled with newest CM7 Final sources
This ROM is partially based on Owains ROM and features basically the same, tweaks are still in their but the entire framework, apps and libs as well as binaries are recompiled with the newest sources of CM7. I also compiled with odex so JIT will be used way more efficently. JIT heap is organizing now with precompiled odex files and everything is a tad smoother and sometimes faster. I want to thank owain and I hope he can take some of the stuff to update his awesome ROM. If you feel like you want to donate feel free to do so but also think about the other devs like owain,jerpelea, zdizhu and all the other devs who made this all happen.

Install Instructions:
This will wipe your data partition please make backup and advanced restore your data afterwards. Due to new odex filesystem its better to start with clean data partion restore at your own risk (if you have frequent crashes its due to your data files)

If it asks you about Network SIM hit dismiss, I'll make a new build tomorrow
Skype crashing? Deinstall and update from market newest version fixes reboot issue
Gmail crashing? -> update thru market (thanks to phoxy84) or replace this : Click me
first Wifi activation will freeze or reboot the phone after reboot it works!
first creation/login of google account will fail, after reboot market should be updated and everything be fine
first boot and second boot take long -> this is due to odex files create a heap in the dalvik and normal cache
first bluetooth might fail after reboot it will be fine forever
languages on hardware keyboard not working -> please see this thread : Hardware Keyboards
if for some reason games are still not fast enough for you -> disable JIT!
SD card not recognized?!? -> delete any additional partitions you have on your sdcard and format again with Fat32

A: This rom is for those who want to keep all samsung functions and still be able to use mods, tweaks, and themes out of the box.
Q:What is the "R" Version aka "The ICS Killer"?
A: "R" stands for reduced as its a slimmed version build from standard version
Q:Does "R" version has more functions/Apps than the standard version ?
A:The only difference apart of the removed apps its the TW launcher. R version uses tw4.5 instead of tw4 used in standard version
Q:Can I use TW4.5 in the standard builds?
A: Yes you can, theres a patch in first post. altough you'll lose samsung widgets support.
Q: Why is the tegrak kernel included in last build(s) ?
A: Cause its the only one who provides mods and overclock without breaking any vital functions
Q: I have lost recovery and CWM app. WTF ?!?!
A: this is due to tegrak kernel used not supporting it. so either use this kernel or install one you prefer(all work fine)

rawr is a void kernel feature.
since I moved to siyah in this version rawr is not availlable.
void development is stopped and siyah is working really smooth
if i find siyah to become unstable I'll revert to siyah on the next build
you can always flash void over this. but you'll lose a lot of governors, boot animation, and CWM app
have you tried new neak kernell. seems a decent alternative. I will test that and see if it doesnt break bt mouse support

Well I've used Siyah previously before flashing your rom, and I was pretty happy with it, so I'll probably stick with it. Neak does sound intersesting though.
Would it be difficult for me to impletement rawr to Siyah? Just add a script somewhere or something?

I think its checkrom only. there's alot of work there mate. really top class work. need a team to do such thing. would take me forever to try implement something like that

Awesome rom, im loving it so far. Is there a way to get apps in alphabetical order? Checked menu when in apps, settings and deluxe settings, but dont see any option for alphabetical order in grid view.

this one is battery friendly using wireless. void wasnt really that good managing battery with wifi on.

you should be able to flash this over any samsung based rom. just wipe cache and dalvik.

First off, best JB ROM I tried definitely. But I noticed a bug. The SIM PIN numbers seem to overlap and the numbers are too small other than that everything runs perfectly smooth and battery life is awesome.
I tried posting this on the site of the dev but my comments were never allowed for some strange reason :-/
EDIT: Another bug that I found is that you cannot to PC via USB. It only unmounts the SD when you try. Solution, mount via CWM Recovery and then transfer files whilst in recovery. Works like a charm.
EDIT2: Upon going to Settings > Storage, Settings force close. I have INT2EXT4+ installed so that might be the problem. If anyone without the script could confrm. Btw, INT2EXT4+ works like a charm. Also every now and then Google Search force closes after being used

The new release is phenomenal but one thing breaks it for me. I can't get SD-ext to mount so no script for memory expansion will work. I add init.d support but still no luck

I did a full wipe, wiped anything (data, cache, system, dalvik, battery stats) and I also tried init.d toggler from play store. I also tried a reallly fresh install, that is flashing from a stock ROM. Also triued another SD Card which did work earlier. Nothing worked.
I did install this script on other ROMs and always was working withoout any fuss, even on alpha2. Any other suugestions? Thanks for the help so far, appreciate it

i'm back to this rom after a while on liquidsmooth, and i noticed that camera shoots at 640*480! this means that i didn't sent to howpathetic some fixes, i'll look into it

can you take a photo, and then check image details?? settings were showing correctly 2560x1920 to me, but actual photo was 640x480!

well, keep in mind that this rom is as stock as possible, so you should compare it with a stock sense 3.6 rom but i noticed that automatic brightness keeps brightness too high!

One more thing : I know you want to keep heritage as stock as possible but can you think about adding advanced reboot ?

before or after flashing it shouldn't matter, if you don't reboot in the meanwhile, but it's working, that's the important
no, i wont, at least on heritage. we will consider to re-base yas or whatever it will be on heritage, then you'll have mods like advanced power menu, battery%, and so on

Well, i could give cdma rom a shot, but debugging is awful since i have to rely on users' logs/reports (if any), i don't have much time, and the result would be stuck like yas shooter version!
I want to make clear that i won't negate permission to any dev/user, this rom is a port, and i'd be glad if it could reach also shooter users!
If you feel comfortable with basic zipmodding i can give you some hints
I am waiting for full working Heritage, the rom I'm looking for months! Full stock Sense4.1. If I find some free time I will make some tests and give logs! Thanks for the rom!

INSTRUCTIONS-Download Rom Zip on Computer and then transfer to internal/external sdcard on phone
-Reboot to Recovery. A Custom Recovery is Required for this flash, like Philz or TWRP Custom Recovery.
-Make a backup of current setup. Always have a working backup before proceeding with any ROM flashing.
-Perform a Full Wipe. Wipe Data, format /system, wipe cache partition, and wipe dalvik cache. If you don't perform a FULL wipe and have issues, don't post about them, you've been forewarned of its necessity.
-Flash Rom from location on sdcard.
-Reboot. after phone is setup let sit for bit to sync etc

You're probably seeing the Pie Control lines as they start out.
Go to settings, Venum Ice Manager, Pie Control to turn off or toggle

that doesn't give us much info at all to go off of, BUT... sounds like a proper wipe didn't happen. Gmail and hangout both just updated, so having issues with those would be explained by an incomplete wipe. I have flashed this rom TONS of times in the last 72 hours, have no problems

You still didn't say what kinds of problems you were having?
I don't have much luck with TWRP but others say its ok. I use Philz CWM based recovery and haven't had any issues.

Yeah, still just sounds (for better or worse) like data isn't being wiped. GmsCore was a big update along with the Google apps and that would cause that if Data still existed from old apk. If you truly are wiping system, data, cache, and dalvik, and continuing to have this issue I would recommend a re-DL, as I cannot replicate the issue
If you were trying the DEODEXED build, perhaps try the ODEXED one. My recommendation regardless
