How do I turn it off nrgrom
Sent from my HTC Ruby using xda premium

you want to disable sync? aren't they options to disable sync in system settings? or sync toggles or something in quick settings in the pull down notification

I think he means vsync as in graphics
You can turn it off in pimp my rom, under kernel tweaks

ICS Euphoria Notification Lights

Working with ICS Euphoria on my Vibrant. The keyboard lights up to notify me if there is a new e-mail or text. This trashes battery life. Is there a setting to turn it off, or set a time out or something......
Should be an option with nstools app but depends on kernel

Should have mentioned running Euphoira RC1 and kernel 3.1.10_ICS_Kiss (Ewe_now_I_am_all_stick #4)
Under System Settings > Display, you will find Pulse notification. Uncheck it.

No such setting.... Thanks for the idea though.

How can I change HTC Mail app's notification sound?

The subject says is all. I can't find a setting within the app to change the notification sound. Regardless of the system's default notification sound, the app always plays the "hint" sound when I receive an email. It's a very subtle tone and I'd like to change it to something I can actually hear.
I've tried clearing defaults, the cache, and deleting the Exchange account the setting it up again, but no luck. Either something is wrong with my phone or this is just how this phone works. (Which, if it's the latter, is really stupid.)

I already did that, which is why this is so odd. The notification sound does not change regardless of the sound selected.

Yeah, I figured it out now. Thanks, all. I didn't realize that the setting was buried in the Personalize menu. I ran stock on my OG DInc for the longest time and am shamefully unfamiliar with certain parts of Sense. Plus, you could customize the notification sound from the Email app on older versions of Sense.

Same here (from OG Dinc, but ran SkyRaider). It took me forever to find that the first time on this phone.

[Q] Quick Panel Toggles

Maybe someone ever created the same theme, but still i wanna know the answer. Maybe someone knows how to disable that thing, when you pull notification bar down, and toggles start moving to the start(till it gets to 1st toggle). I don't know why, but it is so annoying for me
I am using FoxHound ROM at the moment, but that thing is there as well. Can you help?
If you're on the ELKC version of Foxhound you can reduce the number of toggle buttons in the settings.
5 or less will stop them moving.

you could also search for 15/23 toggle mod for stock Samsung rom. this mod gives you the option to rearrange the toggles or deactivate some of them.
when you open the notifications the toggles do not slide so annoying slowly.

[Q] Lockscreeen vibration

When I flashed some AOSP look-alike ROMS, I noticed my lockscreen vibrates when I unlock it. That doesn't really bother me too much but it is annoying when you have to support all those vibrations when you unlock the screen just check a message, etc. Does exist any solution how to disable it???

there should be option (settings - sound - vibrate feedback) in menu to disable haptic feedback (i have disabled it, cos it eats battery surprisingly)
Nope, allready tried

Download another lock screen? Think holo locker can turn it off.
Widgetlocker has this option too, but costs something...

Notifications in JB

Hello all,
Don't know if this has been asked before!
I have a custom JB ROM (myONRdx+ RC 1.0). Whatsapp notifications in the notification area (after pulling it down) shows the message, I also have this thing in an email application "[email protected] mail" where it shows almost the whole email. Is there a way to disable this?
Thank you.

If you drag it down with 2 fingers it expands if you pull it up with 2 finger it hides the message !

Is it the power saver notification removed ? This usually the situation when the feature is disabled.

Yes, i removed it using an app from play store. But i installed widgetsoid and added a notification power widget. Now it seems it's working just like ICS.
*****EDIT*****
Yes, it is Widgetsoid notification power toggles that made it one line (collapsed and not expanded).
Thank you guys for the useful info
