i am using HTC explorer. i root my cellphone few days ago. after rooting my cellphone i delete some apps including "google play". then someone told me that you can reterive the built in apps by resetting your cellphone by using the "factory reset" option. but i do this,it runs a process of resetting and when it restart it strucks at the main screen where HTC comes out on the display. my cell phone is not running beyond this screen. cellphone screen is still on and displaying the "htc" only. please help me what to do..

Even if he does a factory reset/wipe data, only the /data partition is wiped. He has deleted the applications from /system partition, so they won't come back after a factory reset.
@OP - You need to restore your phone to stock by running an official RUU (ROM Update Utility) from HTC.
1. Download it from the link below.
2. Turn off your phone by taking out the battery and then put it back.
3. Boot your phone into bootloader mode (white screen with skateboarding Androids) by powering it on with 'volume-' held down.
4. Connect your phone to your computer via USB and see that 'FASTBOOT USB' shows in the bootloader with red background for the text.
5. Run the downloaded exe file as admin and don't touch the phone while it's working.

Only if someone has developed a 4.0.4 custom ROM for your phone, then you need to unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery like ClockworkMod, and then flash the ROM. Look in your phone's forum for more info.

Brother i did the same thing .... i googled and found the mentioned rom update utility.... every time i run it following the steps it says that usb cable connection error after it has prompted for " verifying information from your android phone"... my data cable is perfectly fine .... please help me on how to fix this phone .... it is still stuck on the htc logo

Use windows 7 connected to a USB 2.0 port. Windows 8 doesn't detect the device for some reason. You could also install a recovery and a custom rom instead.

WHY... use a custom ROM, if you don't know how to handle it.. Of course it got stuck at the logo.. you format /system. There is not much more your phone could had done.
If you format everything, make sure to at least install another ROM in xrecovery, before you reboot.
I read the steps but when it says 'connect in usb slot', it wont work because when i plug my phone in my computer, it says that it isnt connected.

You need to connect it in Flash Mode, not just attach the cord.
Press and hold the back button (that's the one on the right)
and while pressing, insert the cord in the USB slot (assuming of course the usb cable is already connected on your PC).
A green light will flash steadily and the procedure should go on from there.
Ah! After you see that light, you can let go of the button!
FYI, the reason all this happened is because you formatted /system partition.
Practically, the phone is not stuck. There's just no firmware on it to load.

Its still stuck at the logo.. nothing happens when i hold the buttons. it just boots into the logo.

I dont think my x10i flash mode is working. Mine got stuck after Flashing XperiaTW rom using xrecovery. It will bootup, and then shows Android system not responding force close/wait. clicked both , shows up again . now i dont really know what to do
Just use flashtool/SEUS and flash in the latest stock firmware.

the best way to overcome this problem is to download Sony Ericsson Update Service (sony-ericsson-update-service.en.uptodown.com) and take your phone back to it's primary status.
I had this issue..
Where my X10 starts automatically(even after pulling out the battery and putting it back again) and get's stuck at the SE log, and you won't be able to go to Flashmode to use Flashtool.
Simply, follow the instrcutions below:
1. Take out the battery.
2. Connect the usb cable to your computer.
3. While holding the back button, put the battery back.
4. You are in flashmode again, Green LED should be on.
5. Done!.

In SEUS if you connect the phone with BACK pressed for 5 seconds it`ll restore to your previous state ( i think) :cyclops:

dude, no one formats system... now your only hope is sony update service. press the back button before connecting it while in shut down mode.

mate just don't panic when i try to. root my phone for 1st time.
i face the same issue.
so.. just try to use. SEUS ( sony Ericsson update services ) when it ask
you to connect your phone so connect it in flashing mode. holding back button
and process will start by its own and it will update to. ur stock firmware
and remember when you try to root your phone next time.
just try.. ONE click.. flash. which is avalable. in latest flashing tool

You soft bricked your phone, so follow these steps
1) Copy all important files from your MMC are copied onto your laptop (Music, snaps etc)
2) Now format your MMC (external SD card) and wipe everything clean (system cache,data,Delvik Cache) from your phone using CWM
3) Copy required ROM onto your MMC.
4) Flash the kernel and WiFi module (some WiFi modules can be flashed via CWM)
5) I usually flash WiFi module after flashing my ROM (flash WiFi module only if its required)
6) Install ROM and reboot
7) Good to go

I updated the phone using PC companion to the last version and still i have bootloop. And the update proces was a succes, no error ocured.
I try the Flash downgrade kernel and then the upgrade kernel but still it is on endless bootloop.

I was trying to install custom 2.3.5 ROM to my HTC, because my 3G network is not working, as somebody told me that the 3G will live again if I update the ROM to 2.3.5 sense 3.0.
Then, I have installed the Advanced Ace Hack Kit and proceeded the rooting procedures. Everything looks okey and finally I get into the menu for installing the update.zip from SD card.
The outcome is that the phone stays in the "HTC Welcome Screen" forever...I have tried many things, nothing has changed since.
There is one thing I remembered that I did wrong was that I forgot to pull the battery out after the rooting procedure has completed. May be this is the problem.
Any one can I me how to rescue my HTC Desire HD?

power off the device, then pull the battery. then put the battery back in and volume down+ power should do the trick

If you can get in to recovery. Get a Rom on your sd by selecting: mounting sd storage.
And flash it with recovery.
Send from my BinDroid Desire HD with Tapatalk
Download a different rom (or redownload the same rom) with your pc and then move it over to your SD card. Then boot into recovery (The black screen with orange letters) and do a complete factory reset and wipe the cache partition and then go to install .zip from sd and choose the new rom and BOOM! It should be fixed.
If your phone boots into recovery then it's not bricked really. You can always fix it. And just because it doesn't boot the first time doesn't mean you need to redownload the rom either. But seeing as how you tried it twice and it's still stuck on the bootloop then it probably is the rom.

This phone belongs to my brother and I own the Sprint account. The phone wouldn't turn on at all even on bootloader after he tried to flash a mod. It was htc dev unlocked using Regawmod. Phone was running viper rom 1.2.1. Heres where he got the mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609480 he downloaded one of the mods he cannot remember which one but they're all practically the same status bar mod except they're different colors. The thread belongs in the HTC One X device forums but ive heard of others flashing mods straight from there with no problems..I'm still surprised that it bricked the phone though..since it's just a MOD regardless I would expect twrp to just say "failed" but not brick the phone..so All was good until:
1. rebooted into twrp recovery (ver 2.1.8)
2. attempted to flash elegancia mod from one x forum
3. 1st time recovery displayed "failed"
4. he tried again 2nd time..twrp once more displayed "failed"
5. seeing that nothing happened and the flash simply failed, my brother chose the reboot option from twrp.
6. phone did not reboot
7. couldn't access bootloader at all no matter how many times we tried
8. holding down power button and power+vol up/down combinations [in desperation] did not do a thing no matter how long the buttons were held
9. RUU completely failed...it would not detect the phone..windows failed to recognize the phone but instead attempted to install drivers "QHSUSB_DLOAD" I had also forgotten that the bootloader must be relocked but that couldn't happen anyways since the bootloader was never accessible in the first place
10. opening the phone and unplugging battery and reconnecting did not do a thing
11. we're stuck with a brick..no bootloader access, no recovery, not even the power led displaying signs of life...nada.
12. my only hope is for a method to actually unlock the bootloader to be developed using the same method as made famous by the EVO 3d found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1547695 which actually BRICKs the phone by corrupting hboot when S-On,thus placing it into download/emmc mode. Linux will help you with download mode. There's threads on how to use ubuntu to unbrick. I'd find the thread for you, but am not in a position to do so.

My Karbonn A30 has bricked. I did so many experiment on my phone and also stucked several time with some problem but i did solved that problems. Unfortunately this time i am helpless with my phone.Now i am going to explain you what i did with my phone and what problem i am facing.
NOTE: My phone was rooted by using "Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18" process.
Two days back i flashed TITAN MOBILE ROM in my Karbonn A30 but that was unsuccessful,After that my phone was not able to boot and also it was not able to boot in recovery mode using Volume up + Power key. Then with some R&D i get a new option using Volume Down + Power key that option is for my mobile hardware test. In that option i formatted my "emmc" then after my phone was able boot in CWMR recovery mode.Then i wiped my all data and system using CWM Recovery,Also did Restore factory.
After that i was regularly getting error message on my phone notification " Phone storage corrupted,Format it" Then i formatted that. Then i installed my all apps from by apps_backup. When i rebooted my phone,again i was getting same error message and didn't any option except format it.
Then i decide to check this error after unrooting my phone. So i remove root access. After that i was not getting this error.
Yesterday again i rooted it with same process and again i was getting same error message after installing apps and reboot my phone.
then i decided to flash new rom with same company phone(Karbonn). So i got ROM for Karbonn S5 from google. I flashed that successfully on my phone i was very happy because this rom was having Jellybean OS(4.1.2). But after some time apps started crashing when i logged in my phone using my gmail as usual i did after every factory reset.
Then i re-flashed the same rom(Karonn S5). This time i decided to do factory reset using phone setting before loggin in google account.
That was my blunder mistake. After pressing factory reset my phone got stuck in boot screen.
Then i tried same option to solve it (Volume down + power ) so i can format emmc again to resolve it. But this time after formatting emmc i was in the same condition on boot looping.
I am not able to go in recovery option using my phone key.
I need you help, i can not go service center because i voided my warranty.
NOTE: Currently my phone is not rooted,I checked it using ADB commands. My USB DEBUGGING is showing on but when i put my phone in" phone hardware check mode( using Volume Down + Power key)".
Plz HELP ME TO SOLVE IT.

I think you need so flash tool of mtk download it and install mtk vcom drivers of your phone in PC And download twrp recovery of cherry mobile titan TV download it you need scatter loading file I can give you links of all above files and full procedure when you download twrp recovery select scatter file in so flash tool and untick all only tick recovery click on recovery and select twrp recovery when you done all things you can pull out your phone battery and disconnect USB pull out the battery some seconds and replace it and connect usb and press f9 and recovery will flash then I will give you nandroid backup okk

i have htc explorer (Pico), it was damaged lcd and digitizer. i replaced both but phone is not working it shows HTC logo for 8-10 sec. then restarts. loop until battery removal.
i tried to boot into recovery mode but it also not working. no cwm menu it shows HTC logo for 8-10 sec. then restarts.
please help me.
Try Re-Installing
Try re-installing the boot-loader or the full os completely, but it will be a problem fif you do it yourself.
So, It will be better done by a authorized service center so try it.

as far i know,
there is always a section for htc pico..
so find for unbrick tutorial in pico section.
or ask there u will be better assisted :thumbup:

i unlocked Bootloader and installed CWM ( file from clockworkmod.com ) but problem not solved. i am not able to getinto recovery mode, so i can't install any zip files or rom files.
