your problem is about the LAUNCHER. the launcher gives the UserInterface(UI) of your home screen and APPlication DRAWER. I suggest you install this launcher like the ones from Xperia Phones,
XPERIA S Home Launcher with Settings
YOU can choose to have a
*Dock Bar(quick launch of shortcuts at the bottom with only 5 shortcuts including the middle that launches the APP DRAWER)
or
*4 corner bubbles(like the ones you are asking)
or
*both 4 corners bubbles and a Dock Bar.
jelly bin probmel slow
Hay bro thanx and other question is i used last time jelly bin 4.1.2 or something its too slow and lag, i used swap and all but its too slow ... could u tell me how to run fast jelly bin in my x10 pro mini plzzzzz......
I did test the JB from nAa up to it's nightlies to dec 24.
It's fast. because I have a not RAM hungry launcher(like the launcher I gave you), I deleted unwanted system apps and data. I use swap on SD-ext, Used a2sd to move apps from internal to SD-ext, over clocked it to 768Mhz(max), 245Mhz(min), Pushed Entrophy seeder, and flashed the Adrenaline Boostv3.
FAST, sometimes stops for a second then goes fast again. have good battery life. and nice UI(from theming).
BUT seriously, I used it for just a month and go back to GingerDXv029.

GO Launcher EX is the extra version of GO Launcher, one of the most popular stock home replacement app in android market, provides beautiful themes, fast flip speed and tons of useful functions. Don't know how many of you use it. Its very fast has an inbuilt task killer also!!
Check out the website!!
http://www.goforandroid.com/
I've been using GO Launcher for a while now, it's by far the best out there. Only strange thing i noticed is that with GO Launcher EX you need to install a separate module in order to have missed call and message notifications down in the dock.
Can you organize apps into different categories?

No but u can put them into folders.
Awsme launcher thanx
I've tried other launchers and this is the only one moving smoothly on my Optimus. In addition to that it has icon personalization and you can make those annoying never-used apps disappear in your app menu.
it has enough customization options and the battery use is quite low. A must-have!
very good ...... n.n
Go Launcher EX in my opinion has to be the best one out there.
I am one of the people who actually enjoyed Touchwiz at first....well, until my app drawer reached over 10 pages (That's 160 apps and I even had the bloatware hidden with TiBackup)
Anyways. I have just this completely crazy and awesome thing going with Go Launcher on my phone. The best thing is, I've gone from 10 pages all the way down to 4. This launcher has so much customization and features, and on top of it all, it runs extremely fast.
I have posted several screens of what I have done on my phone using Go Launcher as well as just some screens so people can see it and understand it more.
The 1st is a preview of the ui swiping side to side, the 2nd is all my home screens, the 3rd is what the new app drawer looks like (notice the folders INSIDE the app drawer), the 4th is just all the options I have on my main home screen. The 5th and 6th Images are showing how you can switch the dock back and forth. The 7th is showing the modded facebook app available here on the XDA and my personal mod of the Picture Dial widget. And the last is the Screen Shortcut Screen (when you pinch the screen at home).
I hope you all enjoy.
NOTE: The "theme" I have is purely from the customization features I had available. I did not mod it at all (with the exception of one widget) nor did I actually create a theme for the Launcher like those which are available for ADW.
You can find almost all of what you see via internet. I had to photoshop a few icons (you'll notice them on the screen shots showing my different dockbars as those images are more recent).
gunna have to give this one a try adw launcher just isnt cuttin it for me any more
Using 2.3.2 Mur4ik ROM what I find is that Home Manager shows both Go Launcher EX and stock launcher are running at the same time, stock can take up to 40mb RAM, and second that for Go Launcher EX, so I've changed to stock because I want more mem and when I AutoKill stock then Go launcher Running tab says there's more ram.
How can I customize stock 2.3 launcher?
I need to change number of screens to 3 from 5, I don't need more.
Is there any way to create folders in menu instead in "desktop" only?
Screen transistions are not my priority, but Go Launcher is much user friendly anyway, and allows quick access to most commonly used options by me.
Yeah just hold one app and drag ontop of another to put them both in a folder

How much memory did you say Go Launcher used up? when I'm in it's app drawer tab and kill everything I can only get a max of about 150 out of a possible 303Mb
I will say that you can clear up some memory if you "Freeze" your default launcher using Titanium Backup.
Oh and one of the coolest things about Go Launcher is that since I made a Titanium Backup of it before changing Roms, when I got my phone back up and running again, all I had to do was go into Go Launcher's Preferences, scroll down and hit restore configuration (I had made a back up, can't forget that) and all my custom icons were restored. I had to add my widgets back manually, but that wasnt too big of a deal (I didn't make a titanium backup of that, but I think you can).
...hold on, actually Titanium Backup just restored all my apps, the Go Launcher's configuration is completely separate from titanium backup. GO Launcher creates it's own folder on your SD card for it's backups. It's pretty cool.
Soooo..... has anyone happened to have talked to the developer or anything to find out about making custom themes? I haven't had any experience making themes for other launchers, but I'd like to give a shot at making one for Go Launcher and I haven't seen anything on how to make one unfortunately.
nice but crashes too frequently
for my it is the best launcher for now, and in the oficial page says that it going to have customs themes
Is there any way to decrease the number of screens? I find it incredibly irritating to see have 5 screens, I only need and use 2.
I found GO Launcher to work best with stock 2.1. There are buch of themes for it, but only several of them are good for me.

GO launcher is super SLOW. Slows phone down.
I have lag when opening app drawer, I have lags ON app drawer, I have lags on HC's, change fling speed is helping only a little bit.
Uses too much RAM.
For example: I have beetween 60-90MB free when using ADW Ex, even after extended use.
When using go, I have beetwen 40-60MB of RAM free. After extended amount of free RAM is around 50MB. Task killers don't help.
This is launcher is very future rich, but it's so laggy.
I've been running GO EX for about a month now on my Incredible without any performance issues. I personally think it's the best out there. I previously used ADW EX and love it as well, but always find myself going back to GO EX.
it's true it's too slow, but apart from that I think has no problem and is better than the ADW.. Whith the Honeycomb theme looks great
go launcher?>
i wonder whether it is come from my country ,china . try it later.
Personally I have had no problems using this launcher, combined with the go contacts and dialer, along with some widgets it is very feature rich. Now my phone is rooted and I have freezed a lot of bloatware (blockbuster wtf?). Considering this is a blur replacement, just how much blur services can be frozen if I were to run all the necessary GO apps?
Using a Motorola Droid 2 Global, Rooted.
I think Ex version isn't so laggy. using auto memory manager with go launcher ex in agressive mode, i'm getting around 85mb of free ram.
I tried some early versions of go launcher and it was VERY laggy! But 2 months now i use it and it is very fast! Also it is updated every week. Not like launcher pro that has to be updated 2 months now!!!! The same with ADW. I think GO is the best launcher out there
The way my phone is set up I manually clean the ram but even after a while of leaving the phone on i might barely just slide under 100mb(assuming i am opening up browsers and uploading stuff). Now when i clean up the ram i always end up in the 230 to 270mb free area right after cleanup.
Gemini App manager and Gemini widget. Plus a lot of frozen(blocked) unused apps along with auto-runs tweaked to my preferences.

For me, the best out there is Launcher Pro + ... I've NEVER had lag issues and it run's super smooth, and with all that widgets and new theme updates it's great. Yes, it looks a bit stock, but for performance is the best thing.
Go Launcher... The Best
Go Launcher is the most complete and customizable launcher I know.
Today I installed and uninstalled GDE... .
I tried adw-launcher or launcher Pro, but nothing, everyone is missing something with the other.
Go Launcher has it all ...
and it is free (the others are not).
I have in my X8 Go Launcher and runs great. is not slow.
Thread Closed, warez inside.
So, I have narrowed down my own lag issues to being caused by the samsung widgets. I been really annoyed with this phone and the redraws/home screen lag. Now, I have wiped, and _never_ added a samsung widget to the TW launcher, and my device is running very smoothly, with 3 home pages populated.
I came to this conclusion when I tried ADW. ADW was running well, slightly sluttery, until I added the samsung power widget. ADW was completely crippled, which makes me beleive drawing that widget takes a lot of processing. I then tried the myagenda widget with the same results. So, now, as a rule for myself, I am not running any widget that came stock on the phone.
i dont have the lag ither but i use a diff homescreen widget.
I have used launcher pro for my phones before but stayed with touch wiz on this one. I removed the stock clock and weather Alps and installed beautiful wigets and the screens are a bit snappier.

not sure i'm comfortable removing all these yet since Clockworkmod is still beta and having issues (means no nandroid backup).
I also run ADW - You should definitely run the V6 Supercharger script version 9.3.6 on setting 9 ( ends with 250,300) and i saw a big difference... also using setCPU performance setting gives me great results. still about a 10% lag i notice.... i've been bugging the devs of golauncher to optimize galaxy note and they been working with me so don't worry.... we will have our cake and eat it too, very soon!

I should have been more specific. You don't need to remove them from the phone, just remove them from your home screen.
ive used infiniti rom - aokp for 5 hours n am giving this feedback. u can post it in dev forum so others can see this review.
installed sony ics, rooted, unlocked bootlaoder. tried this as my 1st custom rom. used cwm recovery 5.5
Pros:
1 rom became very smooth after few mins use
2 great battery life over sony ics. wel done!
3 google playstore works for me.
Cons:
1 gps dusnt seem to work on gmaps or navi. dint try the gps fix. u should include it in v2.
2 removing an app from recent app the animation is a lil laggy, i dont think sony ics was so slow.
3 'settings' shuts when i try to view running apps. please fix!
4 apollo stops working and shuts when i click on an artist in artists tab, or album in album tab. the audio itself plays fine on apollo.
5 the 4 lowest icons which appear on the homescreens their name dusnt appear eg "dialer" appears if u move icon to top of screen, but 'dialer' text dusnt show when the icon is in lowest row of homescreen. go ex n nova same problem.
6 pinch zoom on homescreen to see all widgets - feature is missing go launcher lets u view all homescreens thru pinch zoom at least (htc leap view anyone )
other comments:
PLZ ADD NATIVE PROXY SUPPORT IN ROM SO THAT MY APPS WORK WITH UNIVERSITY PROXY. ALL ROMS SHOULD HAVE THIS!
1 sony walkman was better app probably
2 use nova launcher for ultimate speed, or go ex launcher for lil less speed but lot more features (looks a lil cartoony tho unlike slick nova).
3 go launcher ex shows running apps as taking around 320/380 mb. im sure sony ics used about 220 under normal use. rom is smooth so i was shocked at ram usage. maybe it isnt as agressive as deleting background apps n uses more ram, hence the smoothness?
very good rom, much better n more stable than i thought!
looking forward to better v2! now i wil try manav rom - miui
the focus option for rear camera is gone. video has it, but not photo. can anyone confirm if sony ics has focus settings for rear camera?
track id works fine, altho i read somewhere that sony software which requires DRM eg track id dusnt work after unlocking boot loaders n all..
dunno why but cant change alarm ringtone in stock alarm app. use another app.
EDIT: GPS WORKS, I think i dint turn on location device thingy so no app could actually use gps to identify my location. the 'gps fix' was for some1 who accidentally deleted their gps file anyway.
now time for manav rom - xperience miui

Second time i've "made" this effect and don't know how ??
Today with my left hand (not primary for me) I'm tried to drop down notification bar and ... again Icons and Widgets start floating, constantly moving and whole my 5 home screens was compiled in one and I can scroll this summary screen.
Palls, did someone know how to do that again.
Device is LT18i Android 4.0.4, stock .587 kernel, installed just this XPERIA Ultimate HD MOD[ver:1.3][ ICS.587/.431] but first time with floating widgets effects was w/o this mod.
See attached screenshot

that is a built in behavior for all Xperia phones, on their stock ROMS.. when you do a two finger pinch out.. i.e zoom out on the home screen, your widgets start floating.. This has been the case with all stock xperia roms since 2010.
http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_j-review-855p4.php
check the screen shot. this is the case for all xperia's.
