I updated to 7.8 a good few weeks ago but found that a few live times no longer seem to update.
The BBC app and XE Currency used to show me updates the live tile but they dont anymore. System apps like calendar seem find... in the end I rolled back to Tango.
Has only else found this on 7.8?
I guess they need to be updated to work properly...
I have the same problem with two paid weatherapps... the live tiles don´t update. The free Weather from Microsoft works fine, however.

I see well I hope many of the apps get and update and support double wide tiles. What and see after the roll out I guess.

I just got an update to marketplace and in settings it's now possible to change prefered installation path to storage card
Also there's a list to choose different marketplace locations I just tried out the US market and it was nice since it has many more apps

well, ok, now the update check during startup makes really sense! Will try and re-install as well!

Mine SAID it checked for a new version, but didn't update anything. Uninstaled and reinstalled, and now I have the new version.
Not sure the region selection is working right though... Unless the UK really DOES have 92 items in the games category and the US only 4... (WQVGA device)

I had 7 games in US (english)... also in the show case panel I've only seen one icon. I better switched back to Germany. 37 games. Strange!
It's also really terrific to select the country from the list. I almost had to grab out my stylus. Horrible! I thought they had skinned it already!?

Words with friends is now available for free, but I am have problems starting a match, even when on WiFi the game says, ( Network could not be found). I think its looking for a carrier network.
Anybody found a way around this? Apparently it works normal on the Gtab
I haven't received a "network not found" error. The app seems to work correctly, for the most part. Some minor visual problems: I'm on rooted stock, not nookie, and the WWF rack is partially hidden by the notification bar.
I'm keeping Words with Friends on my Nook just for playing against my wife, but Wordfeud will continue to be my personal favorite.

I had no issues. After downloading WWF onto the NC, I signed in with my account and it synced the games I have going on on my iPhone.
WwF works here too. the pop ups are annoying though. sticking with wordfeud til they offer a paid ad free version

Are there any graphical errors on the Gtab like there are on the Nook?
have you guys found a way to fix the display where the tiles aren't hidden by the notification bar, and a way to get past the ads?
The version 3.20 update from a couple days ago fixes the display issues on the NC and now it works great!

I just did the update... tile tray still sucks... can't get the two tiles on the far right... any ideas?

I agree. Wordfeud has a better layout in my opinion.

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the updated version.

I mean, It doesn't tell me the weather in my city.
I can't change the preset city, it doesn't recognize it, but it worked before.
I tried reinstalling, but it doesn't work.
I don't know what to do.

Same thing here. Alarmdroid "lost" its speaking weather, which is a brilliant feature, about two days ago.
After updating this app, weather forecast works fine.
I'm new to the WP, came from Android ) with a new Nokia Lumia 800 7.8 (OS version: 1750.823.8858.12460) out of the box. I install some apps from the windows store over my phone, but when an update version of an app it's out I cant see a notification or something so I have to go in store and check app by app to see if I get some updates...
My question is: it's another way to get auto notification like in Android or in Windows for PC??? It's drive my crazy to check app by app to see if it's something new... or I'm skipping an option to auto check for updates?!?

I've always had this problem with my Lumia 800.
Before this phone, I had an LG Optimus 7, and that had no problems automatically checking the Marketplace for updates, and updating its live tile with the number of updated apps available.
So hmm no solution to make it work?

Just wait for update notifications, they will appear later. I doubt that you really need those updates so much that you cannot wait for 1-2 days. And I guess there is no way to check for updates manually except for checking every app.

It's not the problem that I can't wait for 1 or 2 days it's just the thing that no matter how long I wait the update notification will not "pop up" so I discover that I have some new updates only by going in market and by mistake clicking on an Nokia app, for example and find out that a new version it's ready to download... and after this "revelation" I try to see if there are another app on my phone that need to be update so .. ta daaaa many more apps have an update.. but nothing in notification. So this is my problem, it's suck to check app by app to see if it's something new (including the Nokia collection).
None of my zooper widgets show current temperature. I tried changing the weather provider, tried to re-enter my location and force update, tried different zooper widgets and even reinstall zooper and still it shows "??" in temperature. I've attached screenshot for reference. Please help! Thanks.
Yep, same with me. It just happened out of no where. They were working like 2 days ago, and now nothing will display. For me it's icon set that's not showing.

Update : I'm now able to get the weather infos from *Yr.no* provider, but *Open Weather Map (Default)* and *Yahoo!* still dead.

Didn't work for me. Tried the Norwegian app, UK Met, Yahoo.. All fail. Definitely a Zooper issue since last Android update on guessing. Possibly a "permissions" issue???

Oh... That's weird.
I thought I was alone on this...
I can't get open weather or Yahoo to provide weather.
yr.no is working but it's the less accurate provider.. It's just annoying.
I'm worried now since further development for Zooper has been gobe for a while and it's my favorite widget app.
I'm still not liking Kwgt at all.

and Open weather seems to be working just fine.
I started having the issue on Nougat when I updated my V20 to the July security patch.
I believe something with that update is causing the issue.
I was hoping to see more posts about this matter but I guess not many are affected by this.
My OnePlus 5 is also on Nougat with the same weather issue. Need to get it fixed.

Me too. It happened after I got a new update on my phone which had July security patch.
The yr.no app works for me and yes it is a bit inaccurate (but no two weather apps tell the same temp). I Seeing that the pro and free version haven't been updated since 2015, I don't see an update coming any time soon. Time to start searching for a new app like Zooper.
I live in rainy Portland and yr.no shows my weather as "tornado" at least once a day when it is misting outside. Drives me crazy but the other two weather options don't work.
