I know that it is possible to use app to use different colors of led to display different system messages. But I wold appreciate if I cold just change led color from green to blue (or other then green, yellow os red) when batt charge is on 100%.
Do anybody know if there is a config file to do this?

Oh, I'm sorry. My English is very bay, and I think that you (and maybe all others) did not understand me.
I'm not trying to change battery icon, but the led color. By default, it lights on red when batt are lower than 10%, green when is over 90% and yellow (orange?!?) between these values.
I would like to change the color from green to blue (or any other) when the batt is on 100%.

I saw a lot of Galaxy S2 preview movies now. But one thing I'm still missing is the notification led....
Lots of reviews, do a review with the charger hooked to the phone. But there's nowhere a led burning that the S2 is charging or something.
Is there a indication LED on the S2 or did the people at Samsung just leave it out?
Personally I think I would miss the led notification if it isn't there.....
Is there somebody who can tell a bit more about this?

No, LED's have a lifetime well over 25 years of normal daily use. You will never burn them out unless it was defective.
Well, then I will certainly look forward to his mod. Although the Sound alerts will also suffice.
But that'd only for SMS though

Would be nice if someone could make a program in which different patterns for lightning the leds at the bottom of the screen can be choosen. And that it's possible to assign different patterns to different notifications.
I often have my phone in my jacket, when I'm at work. The fastest way to check if I have a message or something is when I can take a look at the LED notification... We'll see what the future brings.
No LED? There is a video on YT of the boot-up sequence and at 20 seconds in a LED flashes purple at the top left (next to the front facing camera). The model is a retail version (as it has the Samsung logo on). Surely this is the notification LED - or am I mistaken?

Flash it in CWM, then reboot. and now my buttons light up when there's a new message.
btw, you should also have the BLN control app from the market (the lite version is free, but less options of course.)
Update: I bought the pro version! and now i can set it to blink, plus it also blinks when there are missed calls. Lite version has only a static light and doesn't notify on missed calls.
The Evo 3D only has 2 led colors - Red and Green - and the original Evo had an extra color, orange. The way it worked was (I'm pretty sure) it flashed both green and red at once to create that color. This means you could have an orange LED on the Evo 3D.
In fact, I already tested something and it worked. Using the application LED Tester, located here:

LED's tend to last something like 100,000 hours. They'd only burn out if you run too much electricity through them, and the red and green should be on different pins, so I doubt it would do anything noticeable. (For reference, that's 11½ years of being on constantly.) As for this, I'd like to see it, though I don't know how Android itself handles LEDs so I'm not sure if it's possible outside of little glitches like the one you got.

Although that may very well be the case, it is most likely not because:
Using HTC's test program, the light doesn't flash orange at all when doing red or when doing green. However, with the application, it does. This could be for a number of reasons.
For example, it could have been a glitch with the app that caused it to send out 2 LED signals at once. If this were true, the app could be tweaked to keep sending 2 LED signals at once to your will.
Or it could have very well been a glitch with the LED's or something similar hardware related/hardcoded into android. If this were the case an app can't continuously send 2 LED signals at once but can still flash it for a second by exploiting the glitch.
But most likely it is possible because that is how (I think) it was done on the Evo 4G.

I replied to you in the other thread. I don't think you should be using the word "glitch" by the way. That is a very false statement.

In theory, a developer could create an application that changed the LED light to amber/orange by making both flash at the same time. If you dial *#*#3424#*#* in will bring up a program where you can test LED's. Green and red will both continuously shine so it would technically be possible to make a continuous orange shine.

Turn both on when you receive a text = solid yellow. Flash both at the same time = flash yellow. This is assuming you use 100 as the value for brightness on both LEDs. It isn't very hard to do. You can write your own script to do this but Tasker makes it a lot easier.
To easily test this run this command in a terminal with root (su when you open terminal)
echo 100 > /sys/devices/platform/leds-pm8058/leds/amber/brightness
echo 100 > /sys/devices/platform/leds-pm8058/leds/green/brightness
This produces a pretty, solid, yellow glow.
I have mine set to hold solid yellow while I am charging (so effectively, I only have the green LED turn on since the amber will be on while charging) if I have a new SMS.

EDIT: I ran the commands through adb and it worked. However, if using Tasker and setting it to flash green + red or yellow just makes it flash green. Is there anything I am doing wrong?
Or you guys can just use
Light Flow. Set it to Direct Mode, then choose Color Mixer in the Notification preferences. You can then choose between green solid/flashing, amber solid/flashing, or both at the same time (effectively making orange solid or blinking). It's much easier than trying to program it in Tasker.

Wow thanks! This is really cool! Only down is that there is no red led option.
Edit: Nvm, dark orange is red. I also found out that you can use the color mixer to make it flash instead of being solid.

Was just wondering if anyone had figured out which color corresponds to which notification?
Because sometimes the light is blue, green or white? Can't decide which color is for what

There is not much informations on that page.
When you plug the charger, led will red if battery level is btw 0 and 90%, above 90% its green (even at 100, it still show green-i dont like that).
When you download any app on market, led will blink...
The notification LED can be controlled based on what the app wants. FB can make a blue LED, Whatsapp and general notifications are green, charging is yellow, fatal errors are red, white I've seen on different apps, so it really depends on your app usage. You can't control it directly though settings or anything.

I have a problem with my led notifications I can not adjust green led except fully charging.
by the way the other colours coming from mixture of green does not occurs.

It has led notification, but the guys are talking about the back ROG logo illuminating for apps notifications not just when the X mode is enabled.

Does this mean it LED on the back works like the one on the Razer Phone 2. You can change the LED colour to match the application recieving the notifaction, Gmail (Red), Twitter (Blue), Snapchat (Yellow) kinda thing? it seems like they did not think about it and when Razer brought it up as a selling point / feature Asus then jumped at the idea to get their LED to do the same. Seems it would be an Asus Aura Sync app setting than in the OS when they do update it with this feature.
Is this confirmed or just a rumour?
Also it would be nice to have an option to have the LED light up when not in X Mode however again its not mega important but might be nice but can see it not being on much as the battery will drain so quickly.

Hi,
The first thing is being planned in an update, as far as I know not yet implemented (I sold my ROG phone, as the CN version was just too messy to work with).
The second thing is already available, you can set the lighting depending on different "scenarios".

You can use "Light Manager" app to change the led notification light to 3 colors only (red, green, yellow) i don't think it's possible to change to more than those colors no matter what app you use.
Personally i don't use any app to change led colors(mainly to save battery) because on most of the chat apps i can change the color to green within the app itself, on my email/messages apps i change it to yellow.
I used to change the missed calls to red but by default it's green. so i left it the way it is.
I see no options to set up with notifications any help let me know pleqse

Please keep in mind LED Light (On the front of the phone) RGB Logo (On the back of the phone and fan accessory) The LED Light is fixed and no settings to change this where the RGB Logo can be changed with the latest firmware update which is live. If you are not getting the update keep manually scanning as it took me 5-10 tries to pull it down.
