I broke my screen a few weeks ago, so I repaired it. It (digitizer+display) working basically ok, but I got some other problems.
1. I get fc´s everywhere, sometimes the apps work, sometimes not...
2. I can´t play any music or videos (exept web streaming videos like youtube)., all my music apps get immediatly fcs.
I already tried lots of roms (MROM, Neutrino, Topsmarts...., also ics ones) and different music player apps, but it won´t work.
Do you think something might been damaged during the repairment?
Edit: Oh, I almost forgot, my CPU won´t toggle anymore, runs at max. all the time...
Possibly ribbon cables not seated correctly.

You may have a 'phantom touch' somewhere which is somehow keeping your phone active. Try downloading a digitizer test app and seeing if your phone thinks it's being touched when it's not.

But that would not explain all the fc´s, would it?

I have been having this problem with multiple roms. When my phone crashes and boots sometimes it comes up and tells me to connect to my charger and the battery is at less than 5%. If I reboot it, it comes back up normal. sometimes I have to reseat the battery.
I cleaned the battery connection and I haven't had any trouble yet.. but I haven't had any crashes since then either. I bought my phone on day one so I guess it could just be a bad battery? Anyone else seen this? In the pic you can see it happened twice.

Bro, there are a lot of better ways to rack up your post count then spamming multiple threads with "Thanks you!"...
Anyways Dr.Stainedglove, I remember someone with a similar issue a while back. Turned out to be a battery issue. Not sure if that's what caused your issue but if the phone starts acting up again I would suggest you look into a new battery. You can get a 1800mAh batteries (400mAh bigger then our stock batteries) for pretty cheap. See here.
Sure looks like it

Thanks.. I may end up getting one of those epic batteries even if I dont have anymore issues. Since cleaning the connections its been working fine.
Take a look at "uptime": 71 days. And not a single reboot since the day I received it. And that's with using it every single day; a full 10 days of use! (That's scary actually haha) Just insane isn't it? What a great tablet!

Same. It worked just fine for me for the past few months, no lag at all.
In the past week though, I've switched to Opera, as a) I was missing having a start page with common bookmarks, and b) mobile.theverge.com (which I visit often) has rendering issues, often not displaying any of the text (same issue in Dolphin HD for some reason).
Think of the ambient music that plays on the Wii menu, or at least try to remember it from five years ago when you last turned on your Wii. Now think of that music playing while you're in your phone's homescreen. I've been looking for some software that provides that functionality for a good while now and have come up quite short. I'd like to play a song each time I'm at my homescreen (ie the Zelda menu theme).
I've tried the workaround where a sound is played whenever the phone is unlocked, but that continues to play even though the phone is locked again, until the sound reaches the end of its duration.
Any ideas here?
Thank you.

I know this is like 2 years old, but maybe try an app like tasker? i was looking at all the threads with "music" and this came up.
actually i just made a profile that does this in like 5 minutes so tasker should work!

I know your reply is several months old, but you nailed it. Thanks a ton!
Hi, I have a TMobile Vibrant ROMed and rooted here, and it won't turn on. the soft keys do light up when its plugged in, but that's all it does. The battery is charged for sure because I do have an external battery charger that tells the charge of the battery.
This started happening about a couple days after I flashed AOKP, the odd thing is, prior I had CM7 flashed and it randomly bootlooped on me while using it (read: I was not installing roms/kernels, just regular day usage and it bootlooped)
This time with AOKP, it doesn't turn on at all! If anybody needs further information, I'll be on all day to provide it. Can anybody please help me?
UPDATE : I'm starting to think the screen is dead; I was able to flash stock somehow, and I can hear the unlock sound, but obviously nothing is on the display :/.
You probably already know that you can check for vital signs by plugging it into a PC and checking for a USB connection. You might even be able to get an adb login.
If the screen is dead, you could maybe use it as a... webcam? Wifi widget? Paper-weight? Or spare parts?
Good luck with it. It does sound like bad hardware.

When I use the Airdroid app, on my SGS2 it all works fine but when I put my phones desktop on the screen it looks all redish. Does anyone know why this is an perhaps how I can fix it? I'll include a SS to show you what I mean.

This has become a relatively common problem for the Galaxy S and Galaxy SII. It's been nicknamed The Red Screen of Death (How original).
From what I can tell in the other cases its been caused by a custom ROM. Are you using stock or a custom rom?
Some speculation is that it might be a bug with night mode. make sure this is disabled in the settings.
