[Q] /configs/region.zip doesn't exist!?! - Sony Tablet S

Hi everyone..
First of all please forgive me for being an absolute noob, as I just received rooted my tablet today..
I'm using a Sony Xperia Tablet S (SGPT121US/S) running on Android version 4.0.3 (release3) and I rooted it using AiO v 5.3.. and it was rooted successfully.
Now I was following these instructions from condi's thread
S.onyTablet.S v5.3 [ALLinONE] - automatic PERFECT ICS ROOT! (Tab S/P & Xperia Tab!)
under where it says "PREROOTED ICS TUTORIAL! v0.8:"
and now I'm stuck on step 3 (Custom Rom and Flashing)
I put the ICS fw i downloaded (FILENAME: signed-txs03_201-ota-120914004.zip) onto my SD card, i inserted my SD card into the Xperia Tablet and when I try to 1 Create decrypted update.zip [+optional make custom]. on the AiO menu, it gives me the error :
[*] remote object '/configs/region.zip' does not exist
Could Not Find C:\Users\*******\Desktop\adb\S.onyTablet.S [ALLinONE] v5.3\backups\region.zip
[*] Region backup failed. Something is wrong.
I've searched all over the forums and couldn't find a solution.
Can anyone please help me?

Decrypt and custom update was ONLY developed for original tab S, I don't think it is meant to work with Xperia Tab. The closest thing you can use for Xperia Tab is Flasher.
Stifilz

use FLASHER
I had exactly the same problem. The problem is that on Xperia Tablet S region.zip is not located in configs folder,
but in params folder. As stifilz wrote - use FLASHER. It works perfect, but you will lose all vendor apps including
remote and walkman. Condi is working very hard on fixing vendor apps problem and new version of FLASHER should
be out very soon.

Requirements:
1. Java SDK installed in PC/Laptop
2. Android-sdk-windows installed in PC/Laptop
3.Root_with restore_by Bin4ry_v28 (this version I used, you can see the latest in forum)
I managed to root generic tablet with above. For step by step procedures, I think you could see in forum. But do with your own risk!I used the method without any official stock ROM, but it works anyway. No soft 'brick'.

Try going to this website tablet express .com (New member so i cant post links). and download the PC Tools oh also you can download the original image file there. The PC tool.rar comes with ther RK Batch Tool(you can use that to flash firmware) and the Aprropiate Usb Drivers. Dont know if your model is there but im guessing you can still use the RK Batch Tool

If you received an update notification last night (12 Dec 2012), the update is probably 4.0.3r5a, not 4.0.3r5. You cannot root 4.0.3r5a using Condi's S.onyTablet.S [ALLinONE] tool. However, if the update is truly 4.0.3r5, then try rooting again using ALLinONE v5.3 instead of the v5.2 that your picture shows you were using.

Just open Settings, tap About Tablet, after that tap System Update and follow the wizard.
Also you can use Sony Tablet S flasher by condi, which provides pre-rooted firmwares,
For rooting the tab, you can use S.onyTablet.S AllInOne tool by condi.
Just look for them in Android development section.
Sent from my Sony Tablet S using xda app-developers app
If your starting from a clean unrooted tab do as above
If from a rooted backdoored tab use curret aio tool to renable updates if you have disabled in previous uses of the aio tool if so plesae uninsatll all aio software and reinstall newest/most curret /higest number 3.< of the aio tools

I had my tablet stolen and now it back in my possession.... yay... well this thing is really out of date and I need to update because most of the apps are asking me and require update of software to work... it's been about a year.. I left off on 4.0.3 r5 root build5 #1 can some please redirect me or show where to start to get updated and still keep my root please and thanks
Apparently there is a root for r5a, but it really is not worth the trouble. Your better off staying on r5

Reupload Xperia Sola Firmware and root please

please, i need update xperia sola italia gingerbread to new firmware and root it, but all link in forum are outdate and not working.
i need all necessary to update to ICS o JB m root it and CWM
now i have xperia sola italia with gingerbread all stock
I made copy of my post because old might be not visible since mod moved thread from android development.
Hi. Did you unlocked bootloader? If no, then:
1. Download PC Companion http://support.sonymobile.com/it/tools/pc-companion/ and open it, connect your sola to PC and update Android to 4.0.4 ICS
2. You must unlock bootloader. Go to http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/ scroll down site and select any phone because sola is not on the list. Then you will receive instructions to follow.
3. After unlocking bootloader you can root your phone and install CWM. It can be done by installing this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...ernel-t2075093 - all instructions how to do it are in this link.
After doing these instructions you will have what you want: ICS, root and CWM.
Good luck
