After running CM7 for quite sometime now, I have to say-- it is quite amazing. There are many things that I admire about it, mainly the customization and the speed. Battery life is not that bad either. But i was just wondering, would you recommend switching to MIUI over CM7, and why? There are a bunch of people who love the MI User Interface, and i was thinking- what is so great about it? I would try it but CM7 is perfect for me..
If you like beauty, come to miui.
If you liked the iphone ui, not all of it, but buttons and menus, then this is for you. Much more options, I can change my boot animation, my icons, my theme with 1 press of a button.

Miui is cm7, but with beauty. If you like how android or cm7 looks, keep cm7, you'll hate miui
So if I like stock AOSP, then this isn't for me?

I seen someone running eclipse and he had a bunch of red going on. Also his battery and 3g was red, wondering how I could do this. Also wanted to know if a theme is 2.3.4 you can flash that on any 2.3.4 roms? What's the best place to find these type of zips. I seen a blazing red theme but it didn't look like it changed the battery n 3g . Any suggestions help. Thanks in advance guys. !
The only theme I've seen is the blazing red theme like you mentioned, he keeps working on it. Themes I think are ususaly specific to the ROM, but I'm not sure. The blazing red theme is Eclipse 1.0 with the theme in one zip, so if you already have eclipse 1.0 running, you don't need to wipe the big 3, but if you gave another ROM running, then you do, and you will be switched to Eclipse. Its a great theme. I believe some one is working on a theme for Molten too. I'm in the process of learning how to theme, but it will take a while before I put something out haha

Eclipse 1.2RC3 has a custom launcher, so, without someone specifically customizing that launcher you can't get a theme for it aside from those under development. You could always change your launcher.
Kevin is working to bring his blazing red theme to newest eclipse. Shouldn't be to long of a wait. I am excited . I can't wait to have the red theme on this phone finally
Why is everyone always so obsessed with having a red theme on their android device? Personally I think they're ugly, no offense!
It's all personal preference. I personally like we'll done red themes, and any futuristic neon type theming.
As far as themes for eclipse, until Kevin releases the red theme you could try out different launchers. I've used several and they all have their perks. I used ADWLauncher in the previous version of eclipse, but I'm really liking how good 1.2 looks unthemed.

Will the standard cm7 themes from the market work on cm9? I know miui had a problem with the ics based roms using the gb themes...

The Theme Engine is going to be rebuilt from scratch.
CM settings is most likely going to.be gone and integrated differently.
There is still a few more waiing periods until we get some CM9 nightly.
cm7 themes will still work unless they completely redesign the way the are read.
currently the way the theme engine works is of images and those images get called based on the xml file within the apk. so as long as the app name is the same and that app with the same name has that same image names then the images will show up. However if the images have changed such as the gmail apk and searchbar and all that fun stuff the theme will not stick. Also the images could be a different size which will also create some issues. long story short maybe they will but they wont work the best
Cm7 themes work on cm9 AOKP . I use them. When you download a cm7 theme it will be in your theme chooser. Click apply anyway..Not all themes change totally different..but some paid apps from cm7 will change the look of the cm9 alot.

Brobot looks like it has to be cooked into the rom. Apparently you can make something similar with hubs.
What ROM are you currently running? It is not a ROM, but a system theme for ICS and Honeycomb based ROMs (Including Stock). It will work on the Nook Color if you are running CM9. I used to have it (I use CM7 now), but just to warn you CM9 is just a beta and is very buggy with no graphic taxing games that work on it that work on CM7. I do greatly enjoy the smoothness of it and the way the theme looks with it so if you want to try it I suggest it, but be aware it may get boring after a while. Heres some Tips for before and if you choose to install it:
1. BACKUP! I cant stress this enough. Use clockworkmod recovery to do a full system backup before you flash the theme.
2.Since ADW.EX Tablet mode does not currently work on CM9 or CM7 it is goign to both look and feel a little wierd, but not too impactful. If you like the theme, but not ADW.EX being screwed up then I suggest using VTL Launcher (Both cost money).
On a last note I also have a message in to him telling him it works on the Nook Color so hopefully he can get a full support and guide specific to the Nook Color up soon. Let me know if you need to know anything else and if you want any help installing, I would be glad to help.

AOKP V.1 includes all same fixes and issues as cm10 V.3 above. It also adds to it for the AOKP version including ROM Control and Launcher2 Themed. With ROM Control there are some NEW icons in the menus compared to the CM10 version. I have removed the Trebuchet Launcher also since AOKP comes with Launcher2 and Nova Launcher. I have left the my Themed version of Apex Black Theme in case anyone also uses it. You WILL NEED Apex Launcher for the Modified Black Theme to work as it is JUST a theme.

Let me know what you think about it and what needs improvement.
Also what about having RED text colors instead of white? Think it would be too much? I am thinking if I do Red text color then any black text on black or white text on white could be fixed.

Well Senor Rock, I flashed your theme and I must say it is awesome! The red was a bit overwhelming, but I'm so used to the bland blues and whatnot that are normally in the rom, that a change from that looked different. I didn't keep it the whole time because it's so different so it's gonna take some getting used to, but I WILL be DEFINITELY flashing it again before the end of this week and keep it to see how it plays. I was impressed by the level of painstaking detail you went through with customizing this; Zelendel has trained you well.. everything pops, from the boot ani, to the custom dialer, icons, etc. It just rocks!! (no pun intended). I know that it is a work in progress, but trust me when I say that irregardless, it looks amazing. Please keep at it, I know it can only continue to get better.:good:

I put a new link up with some small updates to get rid of some of the blue in the popup menu. Will be working on getting rid of the blue text tomorrow hopefully.

The only credit I can take for this is getting the ball rolling, all the skills are his. Its themes like these that I like seeing. I mean we have great screens and powerful devices. Why not use them?
New version posted in the OP, updated v.2 to CM10's 4.1.2 JB version. Removed more blue text and visual items. Still some blue text in Phone and a bit in MMS. Fixed blue in popup menus, contacts.

I am bringing my Spiderman Theme to AOKP. It is built off the 10-11-2012 JB 4.1.2 update. It should be at the same level as my CM10 version at this time. Plus I have added theming to Launcher2 and ROM Control. So the total themed apk's include above and Apex Black Theme (with red), Contacts,Phone, MMS, LatinIME, Settings, SystemUI, Framework, Browser (Themed icon only),Spideywallpaper pack, Spidey Bootanimation, Some Spiderman Media: Notification, Ringtones, Alarm sounds. I will post it up in the OP when it is finished uploading and I verify the md5.

Ratt, i just flashed, i dnt remember the version, and my phone wont boot to AOKP Mali.
Is there anything i can do beside full wipe?

You can just reflash (a dirty flash) of AOKP full ROM without any wipes. Or perform a nandroid restore. But I have done the dirty flash on top MANY TIMES while testing them.
One thing to check WHICH VERSION you have is go into recovery like your gonna flash it, then see if the name says CM10 or AOKP.

Thanks for the feedback, I did a full wipe. I didn't lost anything.
I'm downloading the aokp version right now to flash later.
So, its a theme with boot animation. I saw it, really cool.
